Chapter 76: Through the Trapdoor

"The White Bird Song" sounded again in Hogwarts Castle.

Draco sang extremely seriously, describing all the scenes of the midnight duel vividly in his singing.

And some 'artistic processing' was also done in it to enhance and optimize his combat performance, while also focusing on describing Harry's embarrassment.

This made Harry's face turn dark instantly.

He clenched his fists, furious and wanted to fight Draco.

But before he could actually take action, he heard a loud noise in the corridor.

The three-headed dog named Luwei actually fell asleep and fell to the ground under Draco's singing!

"go!"

John spoke concisely and took the lead towards the corridor.

Following closely behind him was Michelle.

This girl was sorted into Gryffindor for no reason.

Seeing the three-headed dog's paw covering the trap door, she even walked a few steps faster than John. She stepped forward and moved the huge dog's paw away with a breath.

This scene made Harry, Draco and others who followed behind dumbfounded.

John was not surprised by Michelle's strange power, so he got into the trap door after everyone.

Under the trap door was a passage that went straight down. As soon as John entered, he felt his body fall rapidly, and then landed on something soft.

"What is this stuff?"

Michelle asked excitedly with sparkling eyes.

"I don't know, it was probably laid here to reduce the impact when falling." Harry and Ron said happily, "To be honest, it's lucky that there are these piles of plants laid here, otherwise we would have to fall into pieces."

"What a blessing!" Draco suddenly screamed, "They grabbed my feet! They are monsters!"

As soon as they said this, they discovered that the plant vines in the darkness were constantly entwining towards them.

Among them, Draco was undoubtedly the most severely affected. The vines had already moved along his trouser legs towards his upper body.

"Stop moving!" Hermione scolded, "This is a devil's net. The more you move, the tighter they will get! They are afraid of fire. We should..."

"Burning flames!"

"boom--"

John waved his wand, and large balls of orange-red flames spurted out.

Wherever they went, the devil's net receded.

"...burn with fire."

Hermione actually spoke the second half of her words at this time, but her tone became a little erratic.

While speaking, she opened her mouth slightly and stared at John blankly, her eyes full of disbelief.

At this time, Harry, Draco and others who had escaped from trouble gathered around John early and cheered.

"Stop talking nonsense! Keep walking!"

John spoke expressionlessly and led everyone deeper into the stone corridor.

After walking for a while, everyone heard rustling and tinkling sounds from ahead.

"What is this sound?" Ron said timidly, "Could it be a ghost?"

"Stupid Weasley! He's afraid of ghosts!"

Draco hid behind John and said triumphantly, "So what if it's a ghost? With Master Shafiq here, what kind of ghost dares to run wild?"

Ron's face turned red after being scolded by Draco, but he felt that the second half of what the other man said was very reasonable, so he also shrank behind John and squeezed with Draco.

After everyone walked dozens of steps, the front suddenly became clear.

In a brightly lit room, countless little birds that were as dazzling as gems were flapping their wings and flying around. There was a locked heavy wooden door on the opposite side of the room.

"How to do?"

Ron asked as he stuck his head out.

"These birds... they can't be just for decoration."

Hermione frowned and stared at the birds for a while, then suddenly realized, "They are not birds at all! They are keys, keys with wings!"

As soon as she finished speaking, Harry beside her also shouted excitedly:

"Look! There's a broomstick over there. Maybe we can ride the broomstick up and find the key to the door!"

As he spoke, Harry picked up a broomstick.

But before he could really take off, John waved his wand again.

"Fractured!"

"laugh--"

The magic blade instantly flew out, drawing a beautiful arc in the air, and cut off the wings of a silver key with incomparable precision.

Under the dull gaze of everyone, John took the key, inserted it into the keyhole, and twisted it hard.

"Click-"

The door lock popped open, John turned around and said with some confusion:

"What did you just say?"

Harry hid the broomstick behind his back for a moment, then quickly shook his head.

He kind of felt what Hermione was feeling before.

This is too embarrassing!

The second room was pitch black and nothing could be seen.

But as soon as they stepped in, the lights suddenly brightened in the room, illuminating a shocking scene.

They stood next to a huge chessboard, with black chess pieces in front of them. The chess pieces were taller than them and seemed to be carved from black stone or something.

At the other end of the room, facing them, were some white chess pieces.

And behind the white chess piece, there is a door.

Ron wanted to say that this level should require them to play a good game of Wizard's Chess - he was very good at this.

Reminiscent of the embarrassment between Harry and Hermione in the previous two levels, Ron opened his mouth but finally closed it.

He didn't want to experience that embarrassing scene.

And the facts proved that his decision was correct.

Because looking at the chess pieces in front of him, John said nothing and walked straight onto the chessboard with his wand in hand.

The next moment, the white chessmen on the opposite side all raised their weapons as if they were alive.

This made Harry and others outside the chessboard extremely worried.

But John was completely unafraid.

As he waved his wand, several brown sand-colored light groups flew out and fell into the pile of white chess pieces.

"Boom boom boom..."

A series of explosions sounded, sand and gravel flew, and a large number of white chess pieces instantly shattered.

But the white queen on the opposite side was unharmed under the protection of other chess pieces around her.

It seemed angry and glared at John, as if scolding John for not following the rules.

Unfortunately, John had no intention of apologizing.

Instead, he waved the wand a few more times.

"Boom boom boom..."

This time, the White Queen and her entourage were blown to pieces.

The black chess pieces were dumbfounded.

They held the weapons in their hands and looked at John at a loss.

On the contrary, Harry and others are used to it now.

He followed John and continued to move forward without John even opening his mouth.

The next room smelled terrible.

It makes people cry.

Through blurred tearful eyes, everyone saw a giant monster.

It was even bigger than the giant monster killed by John last time, but now it was lying motionless on the floor, unconscious, and there was a big bloody lump on its head.

In such an environment, no one wanted to talk. They covered their mouths and noses one by one and went directly into the next room.

As soon as a few people crossed the threshold, a flame rose up behind them and sealed the doorway.

The flame was unusual in that it was purple.

At the same time, black flames burst out of the door leading to the front, trapping them together with a table and seven potion bottles arranged on it.

As usual, everyone looked at John in silence.

Because of John's relationship, the previous checkpoints did not cause any hindrance to anyone at all.

This greatly reduced everyone's fear.

Even the toughest Michelle was still grinning.

It was as if the group of them were not here to stop Quirrell or Snape from stealing the Sorcerer's Stone, but instead were here for an outing.

But this time, John did not rush forward as before, but stopped.

He looked solemn, taking deep breaths while taking out a teardrop-shaped bottle of orange-gold potion.

The next opponents are Quirrell and Voldemort!
