Chapter 112 Pumpkin
night.
The moonlight was very bright, but clouds kept coming over to cover the moon, making everything fall into darkness.
On the field outside the castle, the two people hiding under the invisibility cloak were striding. Karan had taken out the ash wand when he left the castle, his eyes full of vigilance.
Steve was holding the suitcase in one hand and gently rubbing the red mark on his forehead with the other. But his eyes were full of excitement, and his previous uneasiness had long been washed away by Karan's sufficient preparation.
Or, in other words, before he could fully recover, he was already embarking on an exciting adventure.
What's more, there is a moon wolf waiting for him at the end of the level.
if everything goes well.
"Calm down, Steve."
Karan reminded in a low voice: "Otherwise, you'd better stay in the suitcase to avoid accidentally exposing us again."
"How can that be done?" Steve whispered immediately: "We are going to find Wolf, and I have to handle all this."
"Besides, it's not so easy to meet other people in the Forbidden Forest..."
"Shh."
Karan suddenly made a gesture softly, Steve subconsciously kept silent, and the two of them became quiet together.
At the edge of the dark forbidden forest in the distance, two figures walked out from a distance.
In the cabin near the two of them, Hagrid also walked out with a giant crossbow. He seemed surprised by the scene in front of him. Before the two figures approached, he shouted loudly: "Ted" ...You, why are you here? You went to the Forbidden Forest again?"
"Let's go over there, over the fence." Karan whispered again, and before Steve could react, he was forcibly pulled to a fence near the cabin.
That's not all, Karan then walked behind a huge pumpkin, which Hagrid planted specially for the upcoming Christmas dinner, which could completely block the two of them.
Now, except for the sound of conversation, Steve could no longer see the three people outside the cabin.
"What's going on?" Steve looked at Karan who was pressing his back against the pumpkin with a confused expression. After finding this location to hide, Karan never looked out once.
"It's Meadows."
Karan didn't explain too much. After simply saying this, he asked Steve to do what he wanted and never expose his body outside the pumpkin.
On the other side of the pumpkin, the voices of the three people talking came over little by little.
"Sorry, Professor."
Even though I couldn't see the expression on Ted's face with my own eyes, I could still imagine how guilty he felt from the tone of his voice.
"But Professor McGonagall no longer allows me..."
"Then you should do what she says," Meadows said sternly, "unless you also want to become...like Larry."
"What on earth is going on?" Hagrid looked back and forth between the two of them.
"But you must at least notify me before going to the Forbidden Forest, Ted." Hagrid patted Ted's shoulder hard, knocking him sideways.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Hagrid quickly helped Ted up again: "I mean, you should let Andromeda accompany you when you are alone, but she asked for leave, right? Then you should come Find me, or other professors who have free time.”
"No matter what, you should not enter the Forbidden Forest alone at such a late hour, even if it is for Larry."
Under the dark night sky, Hagrid could not clearly see the expression on Ted's face, but he could feel his body shaking slightly.
"What's wrong with you?" Hagrid asked doubtfully.
"Nothing, he's just...too worried about Larry." Meadows answered the question on Ted's behalf.
"Okay, you should go back to sleep. Let's go quickly."
After watching Ted leave, Meadows looked down at his feet and saw a small black dog wagging its tail.
"This is Fang," Meadows asked.
"Oh, that's right." Hagrid bent down and picked up the tooth: "Damn it, I actually forgot to close the door. It's not the time for you to work with me yet, little guy."
His tone was full of doting.
Even though they were covered with invisibility cloaks, Karan and Steve were still hiding behind the big pumpkin.
Steve turned his head and looked at Karan with questioning eyes, his eyes full of confusion.
But Karan just made a "shhh" gesture again and shook his head slightly.
"These pumpkins are growing well." Meadows suddenly commented as he looked at the vegetable garden.
"Is this for Christmas dinner?"
Steve suddenly became a little nervous, but fortunately, from the sound of footsteps, Meadows seemed to have stopped at the edge of the fence, and just glanced at the vegetable garden.
"Um, no...that's right." Hagrid's voice became a little flustered: "I hope the students will like it then."
"They will definitely do it, at least I'm looking forward to it." Meadows replied with a smile.
"Remember, it's best not to go to the Forbidden Forest at night in the future, Hagrid." Meadows finally warned, with concern in his tone: "At least wait until the anomaly is resolved, otherwise it will still be too dangerous at night."
"I understand." After hesitating for a moment, Hagrid nodded.
The sound of the wooden house door closing again sounded, but Meadows didn't seem to be in a hurry to return to the castle. After she stopped by the vegetable garden for a while, she reached out and patted one of the pumpkins hard, making a "bang bang" sound.
The pumpkin that Meadows photographed was not the one the two were hiding from, but the one separated by several pumpkins.
But even so, the atmosphere around them couldn't help but become tense.
Steve grasped the corner of the invisibility cloak next to him with his hands, fearing that a sudden gust of wind would blow the invisibility cloak away.
His body trembled in fear, keeping the same frequency as the sound of Meadows patting the pumpkin.
Karan didn't move. He looked at the black lake in the distance with an expressionless face and held his breath hard.
"A good growth spell..."
After whispering this, Meadows finally walked away.
"huhu"
Steve finally breathed a sigh of relief, panting heavily, and his forehead was already covered with frightened cold sweat.
"I knew it wouldn't go so smoothly." Steve said with some fear, and he quickly added: "Well, I'm not blaming you, after all, it's hard to predict this kind of thing in advance."
"I know."
Karan looked towards the direction of the castle and said, "But fortunately we met them at this time. At least now we can be sure that we will not encounter Professor Meadows in the Forbidden Forest again."
Unfortunately, due to the darkness in the distance, Karan was unable to successfully find Meadows's leaving figure.
But in the end, the sound of the castle gate closing came again from afar, and it was the time after Ted entered the castle.
Karan finally relaxed a little.
"Oh no"
After completely calming down, Steve suddenly came back to his senses.
"We are wearing an invisibility cloak" he asked with his eyes wide.
"Then what are we hiding from?"
"Wouldn't it be better to just walk over there?"
