Chapter 191 The Ministry of Magic intervenes
When Dumbledore and Snape came down from Gryffindor Tower, John had already arrived at the Great Hall with the Slytherins.
The first time the two parties met, Snape took the lead and said:
"Are you all right?!"
"Of course it's okay! John protected us!"
Draco raised his head and said proudly.
"So," Dumbledore asked again, "it was you who suffered the explosion just now?"
Draco was waiting for Dumbledore to ask.
After hearing this, he immediately recounted what had just happened with added detail.
The other Slytherins nearby also echoed.
In their description, John was like a god of war, easily dispelling Black's explosive spell and protecting everyone present.
Dumbledore was stunned by this.
"It's...amazing!"
Dumbledore said with admiration, "John, I must thank you, you saved my student."
John smiled and said:
"They're my brothers and sisters, and this is what I'm supposed to do."
The appearance of the word 'brothers and sisters' made the Slytherins present excited again.
They raised their arms and screamed, and some of the emotional girls even had their eye circles red.
Dumbledore also smiled and clapped:
"That's a great thing to say! For your brave deeds and for your sincere feelings, Slytherin will give you fifty points!"
"Crash-"
A series of sounds of gems colliding came from the hourglass in the foyer.
The Slytherin instantly became more excited.
John also had a smile on his face, but there was no hint of smile deep in his eyes.
Just now at the explosion site, he actually saw a black shadow penetrate the smoke and rush toward the foyer.
All he had to do was flick his wand to catch it.
However, in order to protect the Slytherins behind him, he could only infuse all his magic power into the magic suitcase, and had no energy left to capture the black shadow.
This feeling of just sitting back and watching the target escape annoyed John.
But soon, he thought of another thing and immediately said:
"By the way, Professor Dumbledore, how's the situation over there in Gryffindor Tower? Is Michelle okay?"
"Sigh - the damage to the tower is quite large," Dumbledore sighed, "but fortunately, there were no casualties. Professor McGonagall is bringing them here to gather, and you will soon... Oh, look, They've arrived."
As soon as Dumbledore finished speaking, John saw Professor McGonagall leading the Gryffindors from the entrance hall.
"John!"
Michelle cried and ran directly from the team, and then rushed into John's arms like a cannonball.
The collision almost caused John to fall, but he still managed to maintain his balance and said:
"Michelle, are you okay? Are you injured anywhere?"
"My sweets! My sweets!" Michelle cried. "I put so many sweets in the common room for everyone to eat, and Sirius Black blew them all up!"
"Oh! This is really bad news!"
Dumbledore, who is also a sweet tooth, said with an empathic look on his face.
After hearing this, Michelle nodded vigorously, and then cried even more sadly.
"Don't cry, Michelle. I'll write to Honeydukes Candy Store in a minute and buy all the remaining candies in their store!"
John said loudly, patting Michelle on the back.
Michelle raised her head and choked with tears:
"really?"
"real!"
"Thank you, John, so can you catch Black? He's a bad guy!"
"Of course! We'll catch him!"
John said fiercely.
Snape next to him also echoed:
"Michelle, we will capture him and hand him over to the dementors. Then the dementors will give him a kiss to help you breathe out!"
Michelle couldn't quite understand the meaning of the Dementor's Kiss, and her little face was full of doubts.
And John asked again:
"What I don't understand is how did Black break into Gryffindor Tower?"
"It's Ser Cadogan. We originally selected him to be the Portrait of Gryffindor Tower because of his fair and stubborn character. However, he was obviously too stubborn.
He told me personally that Blake read out a whole week's worth of passwords from a piece of paper! Then, Sir Cadogan allowed him to enter Gryffindor Tower even though he had clearly noticed his evil intentions. "
Professor McGonagall said to the Gryffindors with an ugly face, "Just in time, you are all here now. I really want to know which completely ignorant fool wrote down all the passwords for this week and left them everywhere. ?”
Hearing this, almost all Slytherins and Gryffindors present looked at Colin Creevey.
Last year when John led people to storm the Gryffindor Tower, this guy was stupid and let all the Slytherins in.
So after hearing about a similar incident again, everyone first listed him as a suspect.
"It's not me!"
Colin shook his head desperately.
As soon as he finished speaking, another tiny, frightened voice sounded.
Neville Longbottom slowly raised his hands, trembling from head to feet in plush slippers.
"Oh - Neville!"
Professor McGonagall covered her head and sighed.
The Slytherins burst into laughter upon seeing this.
In the midst of this sarcastic laughter, Neville lowered his head heavily, and Harry, the three of them, and Michelle were also a little angry.
"Shut up!"
John snapped with a cold face.
Hearing this, the jeers in the auditorium stopped abruptly. All Slytherins lowered their heads, covered their mouths, and forced themselves not to laugh out loud.
Snape glared at John disapprovingly.
He had no favorable opinion of Neville Longbottom and was more than happy to see him laughed at.
The Harry trio and Neville all gave John grateful looks.
Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall also smiled and nodded to John.
At this time, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw students appeared in the Great Hall at the right time.
Dumbledore said loudly:
"Okay, we have a holiday tomorrow. Everyone, please go to bed early. Nothing will happen. We will patrol for you all night!"
After saying this, Dumbledore waved his wand, and a large number of purple-red sleeping bags appeared in the auditorium again.
Under the arrangements of the prefects, everyone got into their sleeping bags.
The professors were divided into two teams, one team was guarding the auditorium, and the other team led by Snape went out to hunt for Black.
Due to the presence of the professors, no one in the auditorium dared to speak anymore this time.
Everyone fell asleep quietly in silence and fear.
John observed Snape and others for a while, and closed his eyes after confirming that they still failed to capture Black.
Early the next morning, Dumbledore woke the students in the Great Hall.
He has arranged the Hogwarts Express for everyone to leave Hogwarts in an orderly manner.
This is not an easy task.
The explosion last night shocked the students. Now that they heard they could go home to spend Christmas, everyone rushed out. The scene was so chaotic that even Dumbledore couldn't control it.
Draco wanted to invite John to his house for Christmas.
There were many Slytherins who had the same idea as him.
There are many smart people in Slytherin, and no one would want to let go of this opportunity to improve their relationship with John.
Unfortunately, they were all rejected by John.
John won't leave here until Black is definitely captured.
The departure of Draco and other students left only a few people in Hogwarts including John, Michelle and Harry.
They were ordered to remain in the Great Hall, and only the Gryffindor students were allowed to return to Gryffindor Tower, accompanied by Professor McGonagall, to clean up the wreckage.
And shortly after noon, Fudge entered Hogwarts.
Behind him were four tall wizards wearing black windbreakers.
Two of them accompanied Fudge to the principal's office.
The remaining two were stationed in the auditorium.
