255 Help and Hope
When Karan woke up again, it was already afternoon.
This time he was unconscious for much longer than last year.
The bedside of his hospital bed was filled with cakes, candies and pumpkin juice.
"These are given to you by the other members."
Lily, who was sitting around the bed, said, her eyes red, as if she had cried a lot.
Snape pursed his lips tightly. His condition didn't look much better and he didn't say a word.
Steve relaxed completely after seeing Karan wake up, and he was mindlessly eating the snacks on the bedside.
Karan rolled his eyes helplessly. After seeing that his left arm was tightly wrapped in gauze, he looked at Gespard on the other side with questioning eyes.
"The left arm was seriously injured, and there are a lot of bruises on the back, but Madam Pomfrey handled it very well and alleviated the pain you suffered during the recovery process. You will probably be fine by tomorrow. "
Gaspard elaborated on Callan's condition without expression, and then said in a rare tone: "This is the first time I have seen Professor McGonagall so angry."
The figure that Karan saw coming out of the castle before was none other than Professor McGonagall, and it was she who used the transformation technique to successfully stop Qiqi and prevent the chaos from continuing.
Fortunately, except for Callan, no other students were harmed, and Professor Kettleburn, Professor Fabian and Hagrid were discharged from the hospital long ago.
"The Fire Crab Club was also disbanded because of this incident." Gaspard continued: "Professor Kettleburn was placed on probation. It is estimated that it will take a long time to be lifted this time."
"He deserves it!" Snape finally said the first words, his face uncertain.
There was silence around the hospital bed for a moment, and even Steve didn't speak for Professor Kettleburn.
In the end, it was Karan who spoke first.
"Does anyone know how the Chimera beast appeared in Hogwarts?" He focused on Snape: "I clearly remember that before the start of school, Professor Prewett said that this matter had been taken care of. What happened?"
Snape shook his head silently.
"Dumbledore is such an old fool..." Lily muttered dissatisfiedly, her voice still choked with sobs.
"How could he let the professors in the school mess around?"
Steve offered a different opinion.
"Perhaps Professor Kettleburn smuggled it in himself." He shrugged and said, "Maybe he also has a suitcase or something."
Lily and Snape immediately looked at Steve with doubts in their eyes.
"You'll know what's going on." Steve blinked mysteriously.
Pajamas were also on Karan's bedside. They closed the curtains around the hospital bed. The three boys wanted to help Karan change into pajamas. Lily was waiting outside.
"No, I'll do it myself."
As Karan spoke, his pajamas floated up automatically, and he changed all the clothes without using his hands.
"Wandless magic is so convenient." Steve said with envy.
"Superb control." Gespard saw something deeper.
Snape was still immersed in the memories of death and being saved by Karan, and he was not in the mood to make fun of anything, so he said nothing.
"There is no need to tell Mrs. Prince about this matter." Karan patted Snape's shoulder with his good right hand and said with a smile: "You don't need to take this matter too seriously. After all, if I really watched you get hurt, and I was embarrassed to go to your house for snacks again."
"Strong words." Snape choked out these words, his tone sounding a little angry.
But the anger was obviously not directed at Karan, but at himself.
"As for you..." Karan turned to look at Lily who was still twitching. He said carelessly: "If you want to tell Penny, just tell her. I won't go to your house anyway. eat dessert."
Lily raised her fist angrily, but she couldn't bear to take it back the next second.
"You're still fooling around at this time!"
She was very dissatisfied with Karan's casual attitude, and she didn't know why she was like this.
But instead of seeing Karan lying on the hospital bed, she preferred to be there herself.
With a mixed attitude of sadness and casualness, the atmosphere became a little awkward for a while.
But Gespard quickly broke the silence.
He said abruptly: "This time before you were injured, you successfully cast the Iron Armor Curse again."
"Similar experiences reinforced the impression and it was discussed all over the school."
He stared straight at Karan, his eyes looking quite strange.
"This time, you can't keep a low profile any longer."
Soon Karan understood the meaning of this sentence.
In the following time, many students in the school came to visit him, including Hufflepuff's classmates.
"Iron Armor Curse? This is really powerful!"
Patrick Leslie, who was also a Muggle-born, screamed as soon as he arrived, and his half-blood wizard friend Wade Boone was forced out by Madam Pomfrey before he could stop him.
"How long do I need to help you hide it?"
Frank Longbottom placed a pile of chocolate frogs on the bedside, and his girlfriend Alice looked at Callan with a smile.
Karan could only sigh helplessly.
In the last semester, Frank and Alice did not expose his sneak attack on Lucius, but they did not expect that he would be in the limelight again this semester.
However, they were not worried that Callan would be settled by his wife, because at that time Frank took the initiative to bear Slytherin's anger, and there were many onlookers around, so no one would associate the two things together.
"You saved a Gryffindor and a Slytherin." Alice said softly: "Even you are a Hufflepuff, and there are many students in Ravenclaw who are taking this I was joking about this, I didn’t expect them to be the most excluded academy.”
In addition to these people, even the robbers had people coming to visit him, but the one who came was Remus, who had the least contact with them.
His face looked a little pale. Counting the days, it was almost time for the full moon to come again.
Lily kindly asked him if he needed to check with Madam Pomfrey. Remus shook his head in panic, his face suddenly turned red, and Snape frowned at this scene.
"You brave man who stepped forward, you saved a Gryffindor. What you saw was far more shocking than what you heard. It's a pity that I was not there."
He placed the snacks he brought on the bedside. Judging from the weight, it was obvious that James and Sirius were involved.
"I just saved my friend."
Karan said with a smile.
Remus was stunned for a moment, then left in silence.
Snape frowned and stared at his back.
"Is his body too weak?" He asked to himself doubtfully.
But when he looked at Karan, his eyes became complicated.
Lily was also watching Karan silently, her eyes still bright red.
"Okay, don't think about this anymore."
Before the two could speak, Karan stopped them in advance.
He smiled confidently and said, "This is not the only help I can give you."
The joking words and the passage of time finally made the atmosphere no longer so serious.
"It's really more than that," Snape said.
But Lily held Karan's intact right hand tightly.
"But I hope that's all there is to it."
she says.
