Chapter 2 Riverbank

This river is called Nu River. No one knows where it originates, but it is said to come from the sky. The river is turbulent, with three-foot waves even without wind. During the flood season, it roars and rushes like an angry beast, hence the name.

The Nu River flows from the west and runs straight to the sea in the east. Wherever it passes, there are mostly high mountains and steep ridges, and few people go there. Wangzhuang and Yangjiazhuang, where Li Yu lives, are rare plains where the Nu River passes. Further downstream, there are only high mountains.

The moment he fell into the river, Li Yu became extremely angry and then fainted!

A tingling sensation filled his nose, and he couldn't help but 'A-choo'! He sneezed violently. But he heard a frightened roar from a beast, and suddenly opened his eyes to find a tiger running away wildly!

His scalp tingled and he sat up suddenly! The piercing pain made him groan softly and fall to the ground again!

At this moment, he remembered that he was still alive! He couldn't help but feel excited. However, when he thought of the tiger just now, it was like being poured with a basin of cold water, chilling his heart! Although he didn't die in the belly of the fish, he was afraid that he would become a delicious meal for the tiger! Because he found that the tiger had not gone far, and was hiding in a forest not far away, peeping at him!

The desire to survive made him sit up slowly. He looked around and couldn't help but feel disappointed!

He was now on a river beach, but his feet were still soaked in the river water. The Nu River seemed to be blocked by a high mountain on the opposite side and suddenly turned a corner! The river water hit the rocks and then rushed to the relatively flat river bank. I guess that's how he was washed up. But what scared him was that he was not smashed by the rocks, but was washed to the shore intact!

It is surrounded by mountains and forests, and perhaps because of erosion, only this place appears flat and open.

Looking at the tiger, he couldn't help but shake his head and smile bitterly, thinking to himself: I don't know whether I am lucky or unlucky?

His stomach growled, and he remembered that he hadn't eaten yet. He didn't care about anything else and slowly climbed towards an unknown fruit tree in front of him that was full of yellow fruits!

No matter what, fill your stomach first. Even if you die, you can’t starve to death!

The leaves of the fruit tree had all fallen, leaving only a few yellow fruits. Li Yu couldn't even stand, so he couldn't climb. Fortunately, the ground was full of fruits. Although some of them were rotten, they were still food!

Li Wenrui didn't care whether the fruits were poisonous or rotten. He grabbed an egg-sized fruit and stuffed it into his mouth! The so-called eating without knowing its taste does not mean that he doesn't want to know its taste, but that he has no time to taste its taste carefully, and it slides into his throat and into his stomach.

With food in his stomach, all the cells in his body seemed to become active, making him even hungrier. He immediately grabbed the fruit with both hands and stuffed it into his mouth, swallowing it whole without caring whether the fruit had a core or not!

He didn't know how much he ate until he couldn't eat any more. He knew that he shouldn't eat too much on an empty stomach, but he couldn't help it. What's more, when he tasted the fruit, he couldn't stop.

The fruit was sweet, soft and melted in the mouth! Not only did the rotten fruit not have any peculiar smell, it seemed to have a hint of alcohol, causing Li Yu to feel slightly tipsy after eating it!

After filling his stomach, Li Yu began to think about his current situation and pondered a countermeasure. The tiger had been hiding not far away and did not dare to attack him. It must have never seen a human being and did not know the depth of a human being. Once it knew his depth, it would probably rush over at the first moment!

It was only a matter of time before he knew his own strengths and weaknesses. He would know once he had the courage to try. The only way now was to make him not dare to try easily. But how could he make the tiger not dare to try? He had no experience in dealing with tigers, but he was very good at dealing with dogs.

As the saying goes, dogs look down on people! Most dogs like to bully the weak. The more afraid you are, the more rampant they become. If you are more ferocious than them, they will be afraid of you instead. This is similar to the human tendency to bully the weak and fear the strong!

Since dogs are like this, are animals generally the same? Although the tiger is fierce, it is still just an animal after all, and it certainly does not have the wisdom of humans.

I dare not be more ferocious than it. If I piss it off, I will be dead if I ignore it! I can still use the dog-beating stick to deal with those dogs. But to deal with this tiger, even if I hold a steel knife, I am afraid I will not be able to escape death, right?

Now the only hope to frighten it and make it not dare to act rashly is to show that you are not afraid of it and ignore its existence! Only in this way can it be possible to make it not dare to act rashly! Besides, it is useless to be afraid now.

Thinking of this, although he was worried, he acted very calmly. He immediately stopped paying attention to it and carefully checked his injuries.

The whole body was in a terrible state! There was no intact part of it. The left thigh bone was broken, the right leg bone was broken, and although the two arms were not broken, the skin and flesh were torn and the bones were exposed! Due to being soaked in the river water, the skin and flesh turned inside out and turned frighteningly white!

Li Yu knew that the flesh wounds were not a big deal, but the key was his thighs. If not handled properly, he would at least be left with lifelong disability!

Fortunately, Li Yu was already familiar with dealing with this kind of injury. Over the years, he had been broken countless times by Yang Erdan and his gang, and he had dealt with them all by himself. However, the injury was not this serious!

He immediately looked around and found a bush not far from him, which contained not only hard branches but also vines entwined around it.

He immediately crawled over, using all his strength to break off a few dead branches, and pulled out a few vines before he led them to climb under a large rock.

He returned to the fruit tree, collected some fruits on the ground, brought them under the big rock, and began to treat his wounds.

He first put a small wooden stick in his mouth and began to straighten the broken bones of his right leg. The tingling pain in his nerves almost made him faint! He gasped several times before he connected the broken bones. He then used two short sticks to fix the lower leg.

Although the right leg was broken, it was not completely disconnected. However, the leg bone of the left thigh seemed to be completely disconnected! It would be particularly difficult to connect it!

He gritted his teeth, endured the excruciating pain, slowly connected the broken bones, and then used two longer wooden sticks to fix his left leg. He was exhausted and sweating all over! Waves of fatigue came over him, and he felt drowsy. However, thinking of the tiger in the dark, he forced himself to stay awake!

The sky gradually darkened, and a full moon quietly peeked out. A few sparse stars twinkled. Insects chirped in the woods, and birds flew in the night. In the distance, wolves howled at night, and beasts roared, which was terrifying!

Li Yu held a wooden stick sharpened on a stone, and tried his best to keep his eyes open, looking around vigilantly. However, he was too tired and sleepy, and finally couldn't help falling asleep!
