Chapter 15 Landing in Shimotsuki Village
Two hours later, Vic felt the boat shake and knew that Buck had finished his work and was setting sail.
Vic left the room and went to the deck. Normally, he was reluctant to stay in the room. Different places and different weather conditions were a medium for Vic to understand the nature of the world, which was helpful for his understanding of Kendo.
All kinds of sword and knife intentions in the novels of the previous life are useless in the world of the previous life no matter how much practice is done, but it is different in this world. Flower sword Vista can make roses appear when slashing, King Luffy can make fire with one punch, Sanji's feet turn red, and Zoro's Ashura Kendo, Victor believes that these are all a materialized manifestation of "intention". Of course, there are other intentions that need to be understood, studied and comprehended.
"Vic, it's all thanks to you this time, otherwise I don't know how terrible it would be." Buck walked up to Vic and said fearfully.
"It's no big deal. I'm riding on your boat. I can't go out to sea without the boat. I have to do my part to protect the ship and the crew." Vic said with a smile.
"You've exerted great strength. You destroyed an entire pirate group by yourself. You are so strong that I can't even describe it." Buck said in awe.
"My situation is nothing. This ocean is magical. Those who are stronger than me are like islands scattered in the ocean. Only when you can see the road ahead can you continue to move forward and become stronger. If you only look at the road behind you, you will stagnate, just like the man who loves to play with sand."
"A man who likes to play with sand?" Buck asked puzzledly.
"You don't need to know him, he is in the Grand Line now." Vic said indifferently.
After Vic finished speaking, he returned to his original position and sat cross-legged on the deck with his eyes closed. Buck felt a little toothache when he saw this. He was truly a crazy practitioner.
The ship has left the waters of Rogue Town and is sailing towards the deep East China Sea.
Just then the lookout shouted.
"There is a situation!"
Everyone else's attention was focused here. Although Vic didn't open his eyes, his attention was focused here.
"At 3 o'clock, there is a ship flying a pirate flag approaching us with the intention of attacking." The lookout exclaimed.
Vic opened his eyes and sighed, "As expected of Rogue Town, there are so many pirates here, some of them are robbing. I'm afraid they are waiting here specifically for cargo ships coming out of Rogue Town."
Vic was a little helpless as he had to attack from a distance again.
Vic came to the side of the ship and took a look. He turned to Buck, who was worried, and said, "Captain Buck, quickly arrange for someone to bring the shells up. I will first use a long-range attack to test their quality."
Vic can now throw cannonballs farther with his bare hands than with a cannon, so he can be called a human cannon. He wants to learn this technique from old man Cap, so he practices very hard. With his physical talent, his cannonballs are fast, accurate and powerful, and can hit the vital points directly.
Buck immediately ordered his men to move it, but Vic was not in a hurry because it was not within his range yet.
The pirate ship is riding on the wind and rowing manually, so its speed is faster than their ship. If they don't fight back, they will definitely be caught up.
The shells were in place, and Vic snapped his fingers, making a crackling sound, raised his arms, and the cloak behind him slid down to the ground by itself.
The pirate ship was already within his shooting range, but to Buck and the others it was just a ship model, too small.
Vic picked up a cannonball, shook it to feel it, spread his feet one in front of the other, stretched the hand holding the cannonball behind his body, looked at the pirate ship with one eye, and fired the first cannonball. With strong wind pressure, the cannonball flew out with a "bang" sound. At this time, the cannonball had already flown a long way.
The pirate ship was too far away, so no sound was heard. Only a flash of fire was seen, and the mainmast of the pirate ship fell down directly. This was the fastest artillery attack that could cause a sailboat to lose power after Vic's research.
The pirate ship paused for a moment, and everyone on the ship was dumbfounded. What kind of cannon is that? It can shoot so far and so accurately. The cannon has been updated and you don’t want to play with it, right?
The pirate captain was full of resentment. The expansion plan he designed was destroyed before he could implement it. Heaven had not given me a chance to succeed. The king's rule would be like a long night forever. His heart aches.
"Regroup and row hard, take the boat for me!!!" the pirate captain shouted at the top of his lungs.
As a result, just as the ship moved a dozen meters, two more shells flew over, one of which landed on the deck, blowing a big hole in it.
One bomb hit the keel directly at the bow, breaking it off.
Vic blew up the pirates' mast and thought that they would retreat and not pay any attention to them. He wanted them to see the dangers of the sea and tell them not to be pirates anymore after escaping. But he didn't expect them to be so stubborn and fired two more shells at them. They could only wish them good luck.
After three shells, Vic picked up his cloak, put it on, and returned to his original seat and sat down.
The people on the boat now look at him as if he were a god, full of awe. He is the patron saint of the ship, and they must offer him the best food and drink.
It's unusual to be surprised. What Vic did was just a drizzle, but that scary old man's was a heavy rainstorm, and even the Pirate King couldn't stand it and had to escape.
The ship continued to sail, and the area outside of Rogue Town became much quieter, with fewer ships and pirate ships rarely seen.
Vic resumed his previous training rhythm, and nothing special happened, so he still docked to unload and load cargo and replenish supplies.
Vic didn't ask Buck to go directly to Frost Moon Village. He just let things take their course. The ship had to pass there anyway, otherwise Vic wouldn't have boarded the ship.
……
Half a month later, the ship finally arrived at Shimotsuki Village. This time, most of the cargo on board was food, which Vic guessed was what Koshiro wanted.
I asked Buck, but he didn't know the man's name. He said he always went to a kendo gym called 'Issin Dojo' to find someone to unload the goods.
Vic was sure that this was the food that Koshiro wanted, prepared for the revolutionary army.
Vic said goodbye to Buck, saying they would meet again if they were destined to, and then went to Isshin Dojo with the sailors who had come ashore to inform the temple.
When Vic arrived at the gym, he didn't go in directly. The gym had to move food today, so it was probably a bit busy, and they must be very wary of strangers right now. After knowing where the gym was, Vic went to the forest, ready to hunt a larger beast for a good meal.
Although the food on the ship was good, the quantity was not enough and he could not eat as much as he wanted, otherwise there would be famine on the ship every few days.
Once you get to the island, you can start working freely. Vic is going to learn sword here. I don’t know how long he will stay on this island. The animals in this forest are in trouble.
Vic kept going deeper into the forest, and after half an hour he stopped.
Vic saw black smoke rising above the forest on the right, and from time to time there were metallic knocking sounds. Occasionally there were flashes of fire below the black smoke, but they were too far away to be clearly seen.
Vic stood there for a while without going over to investigate, thinking that he would fill his stomach first before going over to take a look.
Continuing forward, they encountered some small animals along the way. Vic did not kill them because they were too small. Several of them together could not fill their stomachs. The spiritual energy content in their bodies was too little, so it was not worth the effort.
After walking for more than half an hour, we finally saw a giant wild boar more than three meters tall in a place where several trees were leaning here and there. The wild boar was rubbing against a big tree that one person could hug together, making a harsh friction sound, and wood chips were falling down from under the tree.
The wild boar had a happy expression on its face, but its two forearm-long fangs made it look particularly ferocious.
The wild boar rubbed the tree faster and faster, and the expression on its face looked more and more enjoyable. At this moment, there was a "click" sound, and the tree was broken by the beast.
You can imagine how strong this wild boar king is. The fallen trees nearby must be his work.
The tree fell down, and the wild boar king was furious. It had always been like this, the tree fell down every few seconds, and he was never satisfied. Suddenly, the wild boar king opened his eyes and let out a loud "Woo", wanting to vent his anger, but he saw a two-legged beast standing in front of him. He immediately rushed towards it in anger, wanting to tear it to pieces.
Vic had a smile on his face, but he cursed in his heart what an idiot it was, asking him to find a thicker tree to rub against.
Vic no longer had to look for dinner.
The wild boar king was getting closer and closer, but Vic didn't move. He just put his hand on the hilt of Xuezou's knife. The wild boar king was getting faster and faster, and was already one meter away. Vic finally moved, jumped up, and with a sound of the knife ringing, he did a forward flip and landed on the ground.
The wild boar king behind him ran forward for more than ten meters and then fell down with a bang, raising a cloud of dust and dead leaves.
The wild boar had no injuries on its body, except for a two-finger-wide bloody wound between its eyebrows, from which red and white liquid was oozing out.
