Chapter 17 Draco's Suffering

After two weeks of dull classes, Della gradually realized that Professor Snape was extraordinary. The Head of Slytherin showed his favoritism without any concealment. He would always pick Slytherin students to ask questions and give extra points in Potions class. Nott, Zabini and herself were all frequently asked questions. Moreover, he seemed to take good care of Malfoy, who was not quite clear-headed.

Correspondingly, he loved to find all kinds of reasons to deduct points from Gryffindor. After Hermione tried to answer the question quickly, he insidiously deducted five points from Gryffindor. He especially loved to make trouble for Harry. Ron complained that Snape would deduct points from Harry for all kinds of reasons almost every time he saw him, and he could even use the excuse of holding the book unsteadily to deduct points from Harry.

As a new Slytherin extra points machine, this matter had little impact on Della. However, every time Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick and Professor Sprout gave her extra points generously, Della still felt a little guilty.

She kind of understood why Slytherin had won the House Cup seven times in a row.

Of course, this was just a disrespectful guess in her mind.

Recently, he had been living a very peaceful life. Except for the three girls headed by Parkinson who would glare at him from time to time, the most annoying young master obviously had a more resentful target. It was also thanks to his throwing of the Remembrane that Harry became the first seeker selected into the Quidditch team in his first year.

Della still remembered that morning, when Malfoy had just mocked Harry for never receiving any mail, and a delicate Nimbus 2000 was placed in front of Harry. Ron also explained the whole story in a very provocative manner, and as a result, Malfoy's face was distorted to the point that he was in no mood to eat the homemade snacks his mother had sent him, and he pushed them all to Goyle and Crabbe.

Della shook her head inwardly.

But after that, the young master never came to challenge her again, which made Della feel like she had lost a fun thing.

If there was anything that was still weighing on her mind, it was probably that although Professor Quirrell had frequently given her extra points in the past two weeks, he had never mentioned her parents again, which made Della feel a little depressed.

After she told Maggie about this, Maggie was unusually silent. She did not agree with Della's decision to give away her hair so easily. In the magical world, no one knew what kind of weird magic might happen.

Della also admitted that the emotions at that moment made her lose some judgment, so the topic was just lightly touched upon and neither of them mentioned it again.

It was just that during every Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Maggie would either stay with Harry or wander around outside. This was quite new to Della. When she lived in the orphanage, Maggie would sometimes disappear for a while, but it was hard not to think too much about such a purposeful avoidance.

Maggie actually has her own little secret, so the problem must be with Harry and Quirrell.

Now Maggie didn't sit on his shoulders properly. He announced that he would stay indoors since this morning, saying that he would stay at home, but in fact he just didn't want to go to the Defense Against the Dark Arts class in the afternoon. This time he even skipped the Transfiguration class and lunch. Della could already imagine the disappointed expressions of the seniors at the Slytherin table.

Della's forehead wrinkled slightly and she walked towards the restaurant resignedly, silently calculating when she would have an in-depth conversation with Maggie.

It’s really hard to take care of little snakes during their rebellious period.

"What are you going to do!"

Neville's familiar and honest voice came. Della raised her eyebrows and tilted her head to look at the shadow in the corner where the voice came from. The little golden head was particularly eye-catching, and two tall and fat figures also came into sight.

It was Malfoy and the others who were bullying Neville. A few days ago, Seamus, the Gryffindor who always exploded when reciting spells, seemed to have been in trouble. Of course, Malfoy hated Harry and Ron the most, but that didn't stop him from venting his anger on other Gryffindors.

Normally, Della wouldn't get involved in disputes, as there were enough Gryffindors to stand up for their alumni, but that corner seemed quite remote, and Della also enjoyed watching Malfoy's jokes, which stemmed from her feelings towards those handmade snacks and letters.

Taking out your anger on others is not a good habit, but it’s okay for children to be willful once in a while.

So she drew her wand, smiled, and walked over.

Draco just grinned and cast a leg-locking curse at Neville, and the curse stopped immediately at the sound from behind him. The clear female voice that he always heard in class made Draco suddenly realize something. He turned his head in disbelief and looked at the Mudblood lady who was hindering him.

Just as Draco turned around, Neville rushed out. He looked at Della with gratitude and then ran quickly towards the restaurant.

"Mr. Malfoy, it's not very friendly to cast evil spells on your classmates in school." Della showed her signature polite smile, but unlike her eyes which were always slightly wide open and looked friendly when facing Harry and the others, her eyes were narrowed a little more at this time, as if she had some bad intentions hidden in her heart.

Half of the shadow fell on the girl's delicate face, and only the simple pearl hairpin on her black hair was shining slightly. A strange feeling of oppression came over Draco, making him speechless for a moment. Fortunately, Crabbe beside him stood up first and spoke viciously.

"How dare you, a mudblood, come and meddle in our affairs!"

The rebuke that shook his ears brought back Draco's arrogance. He raised his golden head and showed a typical Malfoy smile on his face. "It seems that our friend of Gryffindor, Miss Riddle, has also been infected with the stupidity of those lions. She actually dared to interrupt a Malfoy like this."

Della kept smiling, but her eyes narrowed even more. She took two steps forward and said innocently, "How could that be? I just envy Neville for getting guidance from a Malfoy. Della also wants to have a spell exchange with our pure and noble Malfoy." As she spoke, Della raised the wand in her hand.

Thinking of Della's excellent performance in class, Draco felt uneasy. He looked at Della vigilantly, who raised her wand with a weird smile on her face, and cast a spell on her faster than his brain.

"Leg-locking curse!"

Della didn't dodge at all and let Draco's spell hit her. Even though her robe was thick, Draco could still see her legs locked tightly together. He didn't expect that Della, who always stood out in class, was so incompetent in practice. Draco was surprised and smiled triumphantly.

"Hahahaha, I'm just fulfilling your wish for a sparring match!" He sneered loudly, and Goyle and Crabbe beside him also laughed. The three of them picked up their wands, wanting to try out some more spells on this girl.

"Everything changes shape!"

Before the three of them waved their wands, a flash of white light flashed before their eyes as the girl cast a clear spell. None of them reacted. Goyle and Crabbe didn't feel any discomfort. They touched their faces and looked at each other. After confirming that everything was fine, they turned around and were about to laugh at Della when Draco in front of them suddenly screamed.

Merlin, Draco's blond hair has grown to his waist.

"What on earth did you do!" Draco collapsed and held up the long hair in front of him, roaring angrily.

"This," the girl in front of him had untied the leg-locking curse at some point. She twirled her wand and continued to move forward. "This is a new method of transformation I learned from a book. This is the first time I've used it on someone else. It seems to work well~"

Della's rising tone compared to usual completely exposed her joy at the moment, and further deepened Draco's shame and anger. He tightly grasped the blonde hair in his hands, and looked at Della with a smile on her face like a knife.

"Merlin! This is Malfoy's...sister?"

Ron's rash voice came from behind Della. Draco looked over and saw Neville, Harry, Ron and Hermione coming over. They were staring at him in amazement, with a blush of shame and anger on their cheeks. Draco, aware of his own humiliation, could no longer stay here and endure the gloating that had begun to appear in Ron's eyes. He quickly put on his wizard robe and hat and started running to the side. Before leaving, he did not forget to add:

"You filthy, disgusting mudblood! I'll be sure to tell my father!"

But his back looked so embarrassing that the Gryffindor guys burst into laughter almost instantly. The undisguised laughter made Draco stagger again. He looked back with red eyes and ran away with his two younger brothers.

"I'll tell my dad~" Ron winked and imitated Draco's speech, causing everyone to laugh again. Then Ron held his stomach and looked at Della with admiration, "It's so refreshing, Della! How did you do it!"

"Ah~ That's a Transfiguration spell, which I just learned recently." Della said, her eyes rolled upwards slightly, and then she waved her wand towards herself, "Transfiguration of Everything!"

The girl's slightly curly black hair, which originally reached her chest, became visibly shorter, and in an instant it became a boy's short hair. Combined with her slightly angular facial features, if it weren't for the pearl hairpin in her hair, several people would really think that she was a handsome little boy.

"This is the appearance transformation in "Elementary Transfiguration: Advanced". You learn it really fast. I haven't even gotten to that point yet."

Ron was about to say something to express his surprise, but Hermione beside him spoke first. He puffed out his lips and rolled his eyes at Harry to show that he was speechless.

"Yes, I think it's more convenient to read in the dormitory." Della smiled and waved her cane to restore her long black hair, and called everyone to go to the restaurant.

"I'll learn that soon enough," Hermione said a little unconvinced.

"Okay, we can communicate together then."

A few of them walked into the auditorium, chatting and laughing.
