Chapter 19 Harold: No one can give me a D!

After his clothes were dry, Harold dressed neatly and left the rock wall, returning to his temporary residence in a refreshed state.

Nasrin was talking to another ranger, and when she saw Harold coming, she immediately showed joy.

"Harold, thank God, you're okay!" Nasrin opened her arms, hugged Harold into her arms and rubbed him hard.

"Where have you been? Do you know how worried I was? I thought you were taken away by a mantis tiger! If you come back a little later, brother Amir and I will bring Sagu to find you. Then you can just wait to be bitten on the butt by Sagu!" Nasrin let go of Harold and tapped his forehead with her index finger.

As a professional ranger, she simply checked the traces near the tent and ruled out the possibility that Harold was taken away by the mandarin tiger, and also speculated that Harold actually ran away on his own.

But why was he in such a hurry to go out so early in the morning? Was he really so eager to find his Dun Dun Tao? Would he run into the deep rain forest alone?

Nasrin hurriedly called Amir, who was also a forest ranger. Amir raised a group of dogs to catch scholars who ran into the forest.

Moreover, his dog was trained by him to be very psychic. After finding those ignorant scholars, he knew how to leave an unforgettable impression on them so that they would never dare to run around again.

So, after hearing Nasrin say the three words "bite the ass", the ranger dog named Sagu immediately bared its teeth and made threatening "woof" sounds at Harold, as if it was going to pounce on him in the next second.

Amir, the owner of Sago, also showed a dissatisfied look to Harold: "If you want to go out for a walk, at least inform us. The scholars from the Faithful Institute always like to go into the woods without saying a word. How can we tell whether you go out for a walk nearby or run to the woods to feed the mandarin tigers?"

"Sorry, I just went to take a shower nearby," Harold said a little embarrassedly.

He had indeed been out for a long time. Originally, he had planned to take a shower and wash clothes no more than thirty minutes, but he got a little too absorbed in playing with the Eye of God, especially when he was building the stove. He was completely competing with himself. Now looking at the time, he realized that he had been away for two hours. No wonder Nasrin was so worried about him.

"You even made a fire to dry your clothes."

After listening to what Harold said, Nasrin immediately realized that he was different. The topic of fire in the rainforest would always arouse the rangers' vigilance.

Naslin said seriously: "Student Harold, do you still remember the lesson we didn't finish yesterday?"

Harold: "About dealing with the bonfire?"

Naslin smiled and said, "It seems you haven't forgotten it yet. Now is the opportunity to practice in class. Take us to the place where you made the fire so that I can check how you are doing with your homework."

"I think I did a good job," Harold smiled, "at least I can get an A+."

"You don't have the final say. Only Amir and I can rate you here," Nasrin pointed at herself and then at Amir. "I dare say that even Sagu is better than you in this area."

After hearing what Nasrin said, Sagu woofed loudly, as if to express his agreement.

Harold led the way, feeling both amused and helpless, and the three of them and the dog came to the stream where Harold was bathing.

"What a natural open-air bath!" Amir said to Harold with a smile, "It's been a long time since the dusk birds and mushroom pigs around here have appreciated young flesh."

After Nasrin understood what Amir meant, she glanced at Harold. Looking at his white neck and beautiful silver hair, Nasrin immediately thought of something and her face felt hot as if it was on fire. She quickly pretended not to care and tidied her hair, pretending that she didn't understand anything.

"I built myself a separate enclosed bathroom, but it has now been demolished," said Harold.

Amir and Nasrin both laughed, thinking Harold was joking.

How could someone build a bathroom and then tear it down in such a short time? Besides, it was not uncommon for residents of Huacheng to bathe in the creek outdoors, but it would still be embarrassing to be pointed out to them.

"-Look, this is where I made the fire, removed the dry wood, stamped out the fire, poured water on it, and finally covered it with soil," Harold said, pointing to a piece of ground.

"Well, the combustibles are all wet. Well done, boy from the Majlis," Amir squatted down, picked out a few pieces of firewood, checked them, and then praised.

"Hey, even with palm fiber, the fire is only this small?" Nasrin pointed to the burn marks with her hand. "Harold, it's obvious that your fire-making test grade is a D. If you really survive in the wild, a strong wind will blow out your fire."

Nasrin stretched out two fingers and used the length of her fingertips to illustrate the strength of the wind.

"That's because I built a stove. I should get A in both subjects. Give me A," said Harold, a good student who has never received a D in his life, very dissatisfied.

No one can give me a D, not even Brother Hai and my godfather Zhenli!

"There are no bricks here at all, what are you going to use to build the stove?" asked Nasrin.

"Like this," Harold raised his hand and a brick fell out of thin air onto the empty field.

Nasrin and Amir both widened their eyes in surprise.

Then, with several crisp sounds of "thump, thump, thump, thump", bricks were stacked layer by layer and soon formed a simple stove.

This time it was better than the last time. Harold ignored the stunned Nasrin and Amir, but admired his work for a while, then said, "I want to apply for a change in my transcript, Teacher Nasrin."

"Of course... Harold-san, A+," Nasrin announced, recovering from her shock.

"You actually have the Eye of God?!"

Amir's focus was on something else. He looked at Harold and said with envy, "He is a man favored by the gods. No wonder he dared to run from Xumi City to Huacheng alone. He is really a brave and lucky scholar."

"Actually, the Eye of God didn't exist when I came here. It appeared next to me when I woke up this morning," Haroldt took out the rock-attributed Eye of God from his pocket and held it up for the two to see.

Nasrin and Amir immediately bent their knees and moved forward, their eyes almost touching the gem-like Eye of God.

"So beautiful! Is this the Eye of God with rock attribute? It's the first time I see it, and it really looks like amber!" Naslin exclaimed.

Currently, there are two people in the ranger team who possess the Divine Eye, but their Divine Eyes are of grass attribute and water attribute respectively. Naslin has only seen these two types of Divine Eyes in Xumi.

But compared to the God's Eyes of Grass and Water, Naslin felt that the God's Eye of Rock held by Harold was more beautiful. As expected, she still preferred shiny, golden gems.

"So this is the real Eye of God!" Amir exclaimed, then stared at Harold with burning eyes and asked, "Did it really appear out of thin air? Was there any sign before it appeared? Did you do anything before going to bed? For example... praying to the Little Lucky Grass King or something like that?"

"Did it really come suddenly? Prayer? No, it was something special... I was thinking in my dream, 'It would be great if there was a way to hoe the ground easily...', does that count?" Harold replied.

"Ah? Is that all?" Amir said to himself in a low voice, feeling a little disappointed. "I often dream that I can knock down the long-haired tiger king with one punch, and that I can become the strongest ranger in Huacheng. But such a good thing has never happened to me..."

"Student Harold, I want to take back what I said, 'You are an excellent student in the Church Order'. You learn everything so quickly, at such a young age, and now you have the Eye of God. You must be a genius!" Nasrin praised.

Now it was Harold's turn to change the subject to avoid embarrassment. It was the first time he had heard such straightforward praise since he had traveled through time.

"Amirita the God of War" and "Having the appearance of a great sage" do not count.
