Chapter 21 After the Violence

This incident caused quite a stir. Aryan had just calmed down and wanted to go see Della when Professor McGonagall and Dean Snape arrived at the infirmary. Professor Quirrell, who stuttered in class, also came.

Professor McGonagall had a serious look on her face, and her hair, which was always neat and tidy, was now a lot messier. The head of the house had a gloomy look on its face, which was uglier than if someone had exploded a cauldron during class. Even Professor Quirrell, who always looked timid, frowned at this moment.

In front of the three professors, Arlian took a deep breath and calmly reported everything she had seen. Her eyes were a little red from crying, and her low and hoarse voice made it hard not to be moved.

As Aryan described the scene in the room sentence by sentence, Professor McGonagall's face became worse and worse. At this moment, Parkinson's hoarse voice came from the infirmary.

"You mudblood! I won't let you go!"

McGonagall glanced at the compartment where the voice came from, frowned at Snape, "Professor Snape, go find out what's going on. I'll take George and Fred to look at those things."

Snape's face was so gloomy that water could drip from it. He nodded, and walked into the infirmary with Aryan and Quirrell, who also looked bad.

Because the situation was urgent, the four people sent to the infirmary were placed on the beds near the door. Opposite Parkinson was Della, who had a white cloth on her eyes. She was yelling at her with a distorted expression. The redness and swelling on her face that had not yet completely disappeared made her yelling face look more like a poodle.

"Quiet!"

Snape said in a low voice and glanced at Parkinson who had suddenly fallen silent but still had a ferocious look on her face. The other two girls on the two beds next to her were still groaning in a daze, and the fat girl, Bulstrode, looked particularly bad.

Compared with the three people, Della was pleasing to the eye. She leaned on the bed with a pale face, her eyes covered with medicated white gauze. Her fair and bloodless skin glowed white in the dim light of the infirmary. If it weren't for the pale lips under her upturned nose, people would probably only appreciate her sickly beauty at first glance.

Snape remembered this first-year student who spoke frequently in Potions class and was also very good at practical work. She could always hand in the required potions quickly and well. He looked at the girl who was biting her lip.

"Ms. Riddle, can you tell me what's going on?"

"Yes, professor. I discussed issues with Professor Quirrell after class and didn't leave until curfew," the girl's voice was still hoarse, and she held the sheets tightly with her hands in front of her. "After returning to the dormitory, I saw dust as soon as I opened the door. The dust hurt my eyes, and I couldn't see clearly afterwards."

"Yes, Dela is a smart kid. We talked for a long time. She went home just before curfew. I didn't expect that something would happen to her, so I came over too."

Quirrell responded to Della's words, and Snape's frown deepened. He looked at Parkinson gloomily and said in a deep voice, "So Miss Parkinson, can you explain why you are in Miss Riddle's dormitory?"

Parkinson, who had a look of resentment on his face, turned pale in an instant. The two people who were still groaning beside him also froze. She stammered, unable to utter a word. As she remained silent, Snape looked at her with increasingly unfriendly eyes.

What silly girls.

"Professor," Della asked tremblingly in the silence, "Excuse me, my Maggie, that blue-gray snake, is he okay?"

The tears that had just stopped welled up again. Aryan walked towards Della's bed. She held the girl's still shaking hands and said softly, "It's okay, Maggie is okay. Madam Pomfrey said she was just slightly injured. It's nothing serious."

"As long as it's okay, it'll be okay..."

Aryan murmured as he looked at the girl in front of him. Della's shoulders began to tremble uncontrollably. Her face, which had been relatively calm just now, twitched slightly. She could no longer stop crying and she began to sob.

Aryan hurriedly hugged the poor girl in her arms, and the scene in the room appeared in her mind again. She was glad that Della did not see the tragic scene, and at the same time she felt deep pity for this girl who endured the grievance.

"Oops, you got too much Niffler powder in your eyes. Don't cry now."

At this time, Madam Pomfrey, holding Maggie, came over with four bottles of sleeping potion. Hearing Della's sobbing, she hurried to the girl who had been very cooperative since she was sent here, and put the potion on the table beside her bed. Maggie, who was still in a coma, was carefully taken over by Aryan.

With Madam Pomfrey's consolation, Della gradually stopped crying, because her tears washed away some of the medicine she had just applied. Madam Pomfrey gently removed the gauze and applied medicine to her again while muttering to her.

"I brought you a sleeping potion. If you drink it, you will sleep soundly all night. When you wake up tomorrow, you won't feel so much pain."

Hearing this, Snape snorted coldly. He spoke slowly in his usual low and oppressive voice, "I think the ladies here need pain to wake up their brains that are filled with sphinxes."

Madam Pomfrey, who was still wrapping gauze around Della, followed Snape's words and looked at the three people who were afraid to speak on the bed opposite her, and considered their injuries in her mind.

Although the three children looked seriously injured, they were only exposed to some prank potions and powders after all. They would probably recover tomorrow after using the medicine. Also, their eyes were not exposed to a large amount of Sniff Powder, so they were not seriously injured. Only their throats became hoarse from shouting for a long time. Compared with the girl in front of them, whose eyes would have suffered irreversible damage if she had come a little later, their symptoms were indeed milder.

Thinking of this, Madam Pomfrey nodded to Snape. After giving Della the medicine and making sure she was asleep, Madam Pomfrey began to drive people away without any hesitation. Maggie was also carefully placed by Aryan next to the sleeping girl's pillow.

As the door of the infirmary was gently closed, Maggie, who had seemed weak, slowly opened her eyes. In the darkness, her dark yellow eyes showed a hint of ferocity towards the three Parkinson's patients who were still groaning on the bed. Then she rubbed Della's cheek quietly, staring at the girl he had watched grow up.

Here, George and Fred had the honor of becoming the first and second Gryffindors to enter the Slytherin common room in hundreds of years. They exchanged horrified glances with each other. If it weren't for the ugly expression on the face of Professor McGonagall who was walking in front of them, they would probably have screamed. This fear and excitement reached its peak when Professor McGonagall cast a spell and brought them into the Slytherin girls' dormitory.

Until they walked into the ruined room.

The huge word "Mudblood" written in indelible ink on the wall suddenly caught their eyes. George and Fred were stunned. When they looked down, they saw familiar bottles and powder bags scattered on the ground.

They fell silent, and all the expression faded from their always playful faces.

"Who bought these things from you?"

Professor McGonagall in front of them asked majestically after a moment of silence, and they immediately remembered the girl who bought a bunch of things in one go this afternoon.

"It's Pensie Delis, a third-year Slytherin. She bought a lot of things this afternoon." Fred spoke first, looking at the mess in the room with a wooden face.

"Clean up this place for that poor girl." Mag nodded, turned around and walked out. When she reached the door, she added to the two brothers who were still standing at the door, "She didn't see these, nor did she encounter those. She was injured in the eyes by the Niffler Powder when she was still at the door."

"You guys should clean up." Mag said this and walked out.

The brothers' faces looked better now, but they were still very pale. The messy room made them not know where to start, and for the first time, the two of them were speechless.

Fred first bent down to pick up the bottles and jars that had just been exchanged for Galleons for them today, and George followed his movements and began to wave his wand to repair the damaged desks and bookshelves.

The big 'Mudblood' on the wall kept darting into their eyes, as if it was cutting them with a knife. The product of a prank that was originally used to bring joy became a prop for insulting people. Nothing could hurt their hearts more than this.

When Fred, who was cleaning up the mess on the floor, found the camera rolled under the bed, he finally couldn't help but exclaimed, "What a disgusting bastard!"

Fred cursed out loud and then fell to the ground.
