Chapter 610: Be prepared for danger in times of peace (14)

Shuang Xu nodded.

After a while of excitement, the dizziness came back. Sui Zhao went to wash up with a dizzy head and fell into bed in a sick state.

"Illness comes like a mountain falling, and goes like a thread being pulled out. It's so uncomfortable." She covered her head with the quilt, "Shuang Xu, eat the untouched glutinous rice chicken on the table."

"Okay, thank you Miss."

After another deep sleep, Sui Zhao woke up the next day and felt that the discomfort in his body was gone. He was overjoyed.

Shuang Xu examined her and said, "She is fine now, but she needs to take two more doses of medicine to stabilize it."

"Mmmmm, drink!"

Shuang Xu smiled and said, "I've never seen anyone take medicine so actively."

"If drinking it can make you better, why not be proactive?" She pulled Shuang Xu's sleeve, "I want to go out!"

Shuang Xu nodded, "Okay, I'll braid your hair."

When Shen Siwei came, she had finished her breakfast and taken her medicine, and was walking around the room.

Shen Siwei saw that her face had regained its rosy color and her usually cold expression had loosened. He asked, "Are you done?"

"Well, are we going to travel to Qiu tomorrow?"

"it is good."

"But I want to go out today."

"Accompany you."

"I haven't decided where to go."

Shen Siwei looked down at her and saw that she looked a little distressed. Then he thought of her love of bustle and said, "There is a temple outside the city, located on a mountain, with many pilgrims. The maple trees on both sides of the stone steps are slightly yellow. The scenery is nice and the vegetarian food is also good."

"Have you been there? You know it so clearly."

"I was working on a case two days ago and came back late, so I stayed overnight."

"Then shall we set off immediately?"

"Yeah." Shen Siwei nodded, and seeing that she was wearing too little, he said, "Put on more clothes."

"I know." She went behind the screen with joyful steps.

Shen Siwei turned around and looked out the window at the crowds of people who were either busy or leisurely.

Sui Zhao put on his clothes and saw that he had his back to her. She looked over from behind him and smiled at him, "Shen Siwei, I'm fine."

Shen Siwei lowered his head and looked at her eyes which seemed to have light hidden in them. He raised his hand to touch her head, but then put it down again.

She stood up straight and leaned her head forward, "You can touch it."

Shen Siwei shook his head, "Don't mess up your hair."

"If you do it gently, you won't make a mess."

He placed his hand on the top of her hair and stroked it gently, and his face looked softer.

Shen Siwei had a sword on his waist with his hand on it. She saw it and asked, "Do you carry a sword with you when you go out to play? Or should I leave it here?"

"Yeah." Shen Siwei took the sword down and placed it on the table.

Sui Zhao looked at him, grabbed his sleeve, controlled his unruly heartbeat, and looked straight at him, "Let's go, Shen Luyuan."

Shen Siwei's eyes fell on the hand holding his narrow sleeve, and he took a step forward and walked beside her, "Yeah."

When he glanced at her sideways, he could see the bright smile on her face. His brows were completely relaxed, and the corners of his lips also raised a slight arc.

After going out, Sui Zhao let go of his hand and walked briskly in front.

Shen Siwei felt a little regretful for losing the force of her falling on his sleeve.

Shuang Xu had already asked Huai Xu to prepare the carriage. Just as Sui Zhao was about to climb up by grabbing the wooden support, her arm was grabbed. She turned around and saw Shen Siwei's calm face.

"Help you." he said.

Sui Zhao smiled at him, using his strength to move up, and then reached out to him, "Do you want me to pull you up?"

Shen Siwei's eyes fixed on her face for a moment, then he took her hand and climbed up the wooden platform.

The skin in his palm was delicate and smooth, a completely different touch from his own.

After getting on the carriage, Shen Siwei immediately let go of her hand.

Sui Zhao noticed his panic, and smiled at him with pursed lips and curved eyes.

He is so funny.

Shuang Xu did not enter the carriage. He followed Huai Xu outside, driving the horses and talking in a low voice.

There was a half-cup of brewed tea in the carriage. Shen Siwei poured her a cup and said, "Have some tea."

Sui Zhao took it and said, "Thank you."

"Yeah." Shen Siwei poured himself a cup, raised his eyes to meet her smiling gaze, then turned away.

She was the boldest woman he had ever seen, and he couldn't stop looking at her.

After taking two sips of tea, Sui Zhao took out two bags of snacks from the side of the carriage, held a small bag of plums in front of him, and asked, "Would you like some?"

Huai Xu and his companions had learned the true teachings from their master Jin Yao and others, and they would consciously put some snacks and refreshments in the carriage when preparing it.

Jin Yao and the others have this kind of awareness because of her father's request.

"Hmm." Shen Siwei glanced at her, withdrew his gaze from her, picked up one and put it in his mouth.

sour.

The journey was a bit long, but Sui Zhao "harassed" Shen Siwei from time to time along the way, so the journey was not boring.

When Shen Siwei didn't know what to say, he would just say "hmm". When she turned her head away, the look in his eyes became more and more gloomy.

When they arrived, seeing Shen Siwei reaching out to help him from below, Sui Zhao resisted the urge to jump and offered him his hand.

He reached out to hold her arm, but she put her hand in his palm and smiled at him.

Shen Siwei moved his gaze to her face, held her hand, and led her down. After she stood up, he took his hand back.

Sui Zhao glanced at him, snorted softly, put his hands behind his back, looked at the long stone steps, and walked up slowly.

Shen Siwei followed beside her, observing her expression.

Shuang Xu followed them not far behind, holding a bag of sour plums in his arms and putting one in his mouth from time to time.

Seeing that she didn't talk to him, Shen Siwei silently pulled her sleeve, "An An."

"doing what?"

"Angry?"

"No, the scenery is pretty good, so I'll ignore you for now." Sui Zhao looked down at his hands, snorted softly, and muttered, "Shen Siwei, are you a coward?"

Coward.

It was still early today, as burning incense usually takes place in the afternoon, so there were not many people on the stone steps at the moment.

Shen Siwei looked at her slightly bulging profile, held her wrist through her sleeve, walked up two steps, and pulled her up.

This way you won’t be angry anymore, right?

Sui Zhao tilted his head to look at him, with the corners of his mouth curled up.

Shen Siwei's brows relaxed.

She walked briskly, sometimes leaning back maliciously, forcing him to hold her wrist tightly.

The stone steps were really long and the sun was high. She was halfway there when she said, "Shen Luyuan, I'm tired."

"Take a rest." Shen Siwei looked around and pulled her to a stone pier nearby.

He remembered that she followed him over a mountain without complaining of being tired. Perhaps it was because she had just recovered from an illness and didn't have much strength left.

Shen Siwei took the water bag hanging from his waist and handed it to her, "Drink some?"

Sui Zhao nodded, sat on the stone pier, unscrewed the cork and drank two sips, then handed it back to him who was looking at him, "Do you want to drink it?"

After she finished speaking, she felt something was wrong, so she retracted her hand and coughed to cover it up, "Just pretend you didn't hear it."

Shen Siwei reached out to take the water bag from her hand, tilted his head back and took two sips. The sunlight fell on his face, creating a clear boundary between light and shadow, making his facial contours look smoother and his appearance more handsome.

When he had finished, he looked at her and put his fingers through the cork in her hand.

Sui Zhao stared at him blankly, and only reacted when his slightly rough and warm fingertips brushed across his palm, blushing and looking away.

Shen Siwei screwed the plug back and stared at her with his dark eyes.
