Chapter 62 The Eve of School Opening
When the large curtain inside the snake's tail was opened, the bright green light immediately filled the entire room. Occasionally, a creature swimming by would bring up a small patch of water light, adding a bit of shimmering light to the darkness.
After all, the Hogwarts school building suits me best.
Della raised her hand and stretched. After a tiring day, Professor Snape was finally willing to let her go back.
After stretching, she looked at the room that had been cleaned by Quasi in the light coming through the Black Lake, taking in the quaint four-poster bed, the silver and green bedspread, the dark green carpet on the floor that she had extended, and the bookshelf that Quasi had added two layers to.
She walked over and pulled out "The Origin of Muggles and Wizards" from the bottom shelf, a book she had been borrowing repeatedly, revealing a jar-sized compartment inside. This was where she hid her dark magic experiments. Its former residents were the spider in the jar and the rat given by Professor Snape.
Now, there's something new to hide here.
Della placed the shrunken wooden suitcase on the pulled out books and was not in a hurry to hide it. Instead, she turned around and teased Angel in the cage. After playing for a while, she put away the small space, tidied the room, and waited for Maggie to come back.
Maggie finally arrived after curfew. He swam to the table and rubbed Della, who was reading a book with the magic lamp on, with his delicate snake head.
"Hai-ha-sa (Oh, you're back)." Della first touched Maggie beside her, then put a bookmark on the book in her hand and closed it, revealing the gold-plated words "Resurrection" on the cover. These two words were crawling all over the cover.
"Hai-Xi (This book used to be like this)?" Maggie tilted her head and spit out her bright red snake tongue, almost touching the book.
“Hash-ha-Shaxi (After using it to restore it to its original state, it changes every day, first the phase picture, then the content, and finally the cover, but now it has not changed).”
Her slender white hand touched the bookmarks on the book. Della selected the golden bookmark and opened the book again, showing Maggie the brilliant golden picture inside. "Hai-Hasi-Saha (This should be the base picture of Link Tairen's alchemical doll)."
Maggie didn't rush to speak, but looked around the entire picture, then raised her snake head to look at Della, "Haisa-shiha (This is very valuable for reference)."
“Haisal-hashisha (yes, we still have to make some adjustments).”
Della took out a parchment with a simple photo chart and spread it out in front of Maggie. The border of the photo chart had been marked by Della with red ink, except for the middle area with a big circle drawn in green ink.
"Sha-Sa-Shiso (The core needs to be modified according to the results of the red spirit ore experiment)."
They looked at each other and then looked at the book "The Origin of Muggles and Wizards" at the bottom of the bookshelf. Dela reached out and took out the book, while Maggie slid aside and opened Ang's cage.
Della placed the wooden suitcase, which had returned to its original size, on the carpet. She waved her wand and chanted the entry spell, "Alchemy." The suitcase opened and automatically spread out, revealing a dark entrance.
Della walked in first, and then Maggie slid in with a reluctant Ange.
As soon as he entered here, Maggie turned into a giant snake about one meter long. His thick and long tail wrapped around the white Angel and he didn't let it go until he was on the experimental table.
"Don't bully it too much, Maggie." Della touched the trembling Ange and reached out to poke the spot on Maggie's neck.
With Della's comfort, Ang returned to normal. He blinked his black bean-like eyes, looked at Maggie, who had grown bigger and looked more ferocious, but didn't make a sound. Instead, he pecked his paws in grievance, and a large piece of red spirit ore immediately appeared on the test bench.
"Ha-sa (There are so many)!"
"Sai-Hara-Sia-(It's beyond my expectation. I think this is about the same as the reserve in this secret room)."
Looking at the ore that took up most of the test bench, Della let out a small exclamation. She touched the translucent ore that continued to emit luster, and an ambiguous emotion flashed in her eyes.
The white booklet did not specify the construction of the human form, probably because I was a baby at the time and played the role of the matrix.
Of course, it is impossible to find a corpse to try now, so Link Tairen's alchemical doll is the best choice at the moment.
However, the book "Resurrection" concealed the most crucial step, whether before or after the change. It deliberately ignored the process of setting the puppet's personality and only had the simple word "blood".
Based on Della's observation of Angel, the role of the red soul ore should be to create a fictitious soul, so it has the instinct to pursue metabolism; and the little snake given to Draco, which was made according to the original book of "Resurrection", is more of a mechanical maintenance of the setting.
Almost the same materials, but different processes can lead to such big differences.
I just don't know if there will be any conflict between the two systems.
Della put the large piece of red spirit ore into the storage compartment under the test bench, then took out the red spirit stone powder she had previously obtained, and placed the distillation and quenching equipment on the test bench. She waved her magic wand to put different amounts of red spirit stone powder into it.
Previously, I just followed the established steps, but now if I want to make changes, I have to study the characteristics of these things myself.
Looking at the bookshelves around her, Della walked to the metal area according to the previous classification marks, took out the book on the far right and started reading. She also wanted to find the most realistic doll metal.
The soft platinum used in "Resurrection" will have a certain degree of distortion based on the final result, just like Ange's excessive whiteness. If used as human skin, it will probably present the unreal touch of a Veela.
Of course there would be better materials. This was just Link Tyranno’s way of showing that this was the Mirror of Erised, but Della wanted to experiment more, such as whether the final product could blend into the crowd or even grow on its own.
The fear is that the perceptions at different stages can also be set in advance.
Della lowered her eyes and paused turning the pages of the book. She looked up at Maggie, who was sitting cross-legged on the obsidian table and seemed to be resting.
So what is Maggie's existence? He calls himself a servant, so is he based on his original body or the material?
Is his evil eye, which is not affected by sequelae, due to differences in structure or differences in soul?
Or is it both?
Della raised her eyebrows, turned another page of the book in her hand, and suppressed the doubts in her heart.
You have to wait until the experiment results come out and the little snake reveals what it wants before you can ask.
