Chapter 63, Part 4

Su Qing jumped out of the car, stood behind the two busy people holding an umbrella and asked, "What's going on?"

"No, the tools are not suitable. The wheel is stuck by a stone. If only I had an iron chisel, it would be useless like this."

"Where is this?" Su Qing looked around through the rain and fog.

"This is the south of the city." The driver answered while trying to lift the wheel, but the wheel did not move at all.

South of the city, south of the city, Huainan Marquis's Mansion is in the east of the city. By the time they send someone, it's still unknown when it will happen. Su Qing regretted her generosity just now. She should have squeezed into the car and not gotten off.

Wait, south of the city, Su Qing suddenly remembered a sentence: "Old Wang's blacksmith shop in the south of the city" Yes, Wang Xiaoer lives here. Su Qing was delighted and said to the driver, I'll go to the front to see if there is anyone who can help.

The driver was too tired to pay attention to her, and the two of them hid under the carriage to avoid the rain.

Su Qing held up her umbrella and strode forward with her skirt wet by rain and covered in mud. An old lady was sitting in front of a grocery store on the street. Su Qing walked over and politely asked where Lao Wang's blacksmith shop was. The old lady pointed across the street and said it was the last one.

Su Qing breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that Wang Xiaoer did not lie.

When I walked to the door, I didn't see any plaque. I only saw a thick wooden stake standing under the eaves of the door with a flag hanging vertically. It was so old that I couldn't see its original color. It was wet by the rain and overlapped, so I could only vaguely make out the two words "Wang Family".

Su Qing exhaled and knocked on the half-open door, but no one answered. She had no choice but to slowly push it open, and a wave of heat hit her face. She saw a dark-skinned big man wearing a single shirt and a black leather apron that reached his knees. He looked up at her and continued hammering.

The twelve or thirteen-year-old boy who was sitting on a small stool with his back to her and was pulling the bellows turned around to look at her and asked, "What are you taking?"

"I, I'm not here to get anything." The big guy opposite looked up at him, with an expression that seemed to say, why are you here if you're not here to get anything?

"Well, I'm here to look for Wang Xiaoer." Su Qing was a little scared of the look in the big black guy's eyes, so he turned and said to the little boy.

"Wang Xiaoer? Who? Second brother? Big brother, this little girl is looking for second brother."

Su Qing rolled her eyes in her heart, but it was good at least. It seemed that they did know this Wang Xiaoer.

"What do you want him for?" The big black man didn't stop working and started hitting something with a sledgehammer.

"My carriage is stuck in the mud yonder, and I need a crowbar to pry the wheels out."

"Liuzi, go find one for her."

The little boy called Liuzi stood up swiftly, turned the door, pulled out an iron rod more than one meter long, and dragged it along the ground with a rustling sound.

Su Qing subconsciously covered her ears with her hands. She couldn't stand such sharp noises. Whenever she went to the cafeteria to eat, there were always students who liked to scrape the bowls with spoons. Also, during collective labor, the shovels were not properly carried on the shoulders, but were dragged on the ground and scratched across the asphalt road.

Liuzi pushed the iron rod in front of Su Qing and said, "Well, remember to return it." Then he let go of it. Su Qing hurriedly caught it and almost fell down.

If I had known it was so heavy, I would have asked the driver to come along. It seemed that it was not easy for him to lend it to me, and he had no intention of helping me take it. Su Qing had no choice but to imitate Liu Zi and drag it out.

Just as I walked to the door, I saw a young man in blue running in through the rain and fog. While patting the rain off his body, he said, "This rain is getting stronger. I can watch it for the next day." When I looked up, it was Wang Xiaoer.

"How did you come?"

"Second brother, you're back. She said she recognized you and wanted to borrow a rod." Liuzi ran over attentively and took a handkerchief that was even wetter than the boy's clothes and wiped the water droplets off him.

"Oh, what happened?" Wang Xiaoer raised his eyes to look at Su Qing, who pursed her lips and told him what happened.

Liuzi was wiping Wang Xiaoer's clothes when he was suddenly kicked on the butt by Wang Xiaoer. "You little bastard, you can't help me carry such a long iron stick."

Su Qing heard this, and his face, which had been deliberately stern just now, immediately changed its expression. Liuzi covered his buttocks and called the black guy "big brother" with a wronged look on his face, but the black guy seemed not to hear him and continued to swing the hammer in his hand.

As Wang Xiaoer spoke, he turned around, took off the oilcloth raincoat on the wall and put it on himself. He turned around and said to Su Qing who was standing there in a daze, "What are you looking at? Let's go."

Su Qing hurriedly grabbed the iron stick and tried to follow. Liuzi next to him took the iron stick over. Su Qing opened his eyes wide with disbelief. He saw the small body swinging the iron stick and carrying it on his shoulder, as if it was just a wooden stick.

Liuzi kept urging her in front, "Hurry up, you have to lead the way." Su Qing hurriedly walked past him. It was raining heavily at this time and the umbrella was of no use at all. Half of Su Qing's body was soaked by the rain. Wang Xiaoer looked at her and wanted to say something but hesitated.

When they reached the place where the carriage had sunk, the driver and the servant were still hiding from the rain under the carriage, and it seemed that they were determined to wait for the government to send someone. Seeing three people coming from afar, the driver stepped out first and said to Su Qing, "I really let you borrow it. Why are there two more people here? Did you hire them?"

"If you want to hire someone, find two who are in better physique. Look at these two people, how do they work?" The servant also came out and looked at Wang Xiaoer and Liuzi with disdain.

After hearing this, Liuzi thrust the iron rod on his shoulder forward and thrust it in close to the boy's feet. The boy was startled, and then he saw clearly that Liuzi was carrying a big iron rod on his shoulder, so he stopped talking.

The driver was quite considerate and quickly bowed and said, "Thank you, brothers."

Liuzi stood there motionless, and Wang Xiaoer kicked him in the butt again, "Hurry up, it's still raining."

Liuzi's face turned red. He picked up the iron rod and poked it against the side of the wheel. Without asking for help from others, he pushed up with force and the wheel was lifted up.

"Why are you still standing there? Go pull the horse." Liuzi shouted to the coachman.

The driver finally reacted at this moment, and hurriedly went to lead the horse, and with all his strength he pulled the carriage out of the mud pit.

"Two grown men can't even do such a small thing, and they ask a girl to look for someone. It's really shameful." Liuzi pulled out the iron rod, looked at the coachman and the servant with a squint, then turned around and walked back.

"Let's go, second brother, the rain is really heavy."

Wanxiang, who was sitting in the car, opened the door and watched Su Qing walk towards a young man in blue.

Su Qing walked up to Wang Xiaoer, bowed, and said, "Thank you for your help, Brother Wang Er. Today's incident is even with your previous offenses."

"Oh, you are destroying the bridge after crossing it. Do you have a problem with your brain and can't settle accounts?" Wang Xiaoer crossed his arms and looked at Su Qing's face which was wet by the rain. It was so beautiful with white and pink skin.

"What's wrong?" Su Qing asked just as she was about to turn around when she heard Wang Xiaoer say this.

"I have offended you three times, and now I have only paid you back once. That's all. I can tell you, there are not many people that I, Wang Xiaoer, owe a favor to!" Wang Xiaoer half leaned closer to Su Qing when he said this, and his tone was very intimate. From Wanxiang's perspective, the two seemed to be completely stuck together.

Seeing his handsome face approaching, Su Qing quickly took a step back and said, "No need, let's just settle it once and for all." After saying that, she looked at Wang Xiaoer with disgust and said, "If you encounter any problems in the future, just speak nicely and don't cover other people's mouths at every turn." After saying that, she turned and walked away.

"Hahaha..." Wang Xiaoer's laughter came from behind, which was extremely hearty.

"Wait a minute," the person behind him walked quickly in front of him, "I forgot to ask you last time, are you a maid in the Huainan Marquis's mansion?"

Su Qing hummed and nodded.

"Who is he serving?" Su Qing wanted to ask who he was serving, but seeing Wang Xiaoer staring at the carriage, he whispered, "She was serving the fourth young lady."

"Meng Qi?" Wang Xiaoer turned his head and looked at her, his eyes dark and bright.

"How can you call our Fourth Miss by her maiden name? No, how do you know Fourth Miss's name?" Su Qing said with eyes wide open.

Wang Xiaoer looked at Su Qing, who was as surprised as a rabbit, and couldn't help but grin, "How many?"

"Second class, are you done asking questions? Are you here to check the household registration?"

"What household registration?" Wang Xiaoer asked blankly.

"Nothing. Anyway, thank you for what you did just now. I hope we never meet again." After saying that, he walked towards the carriage.

Wanxiang looked at the tall boy still standing in the rain. Although she couldn't see his face clearly, he must be a handsome boy. She turned her head to look at Su Qing again, but Su Qing didn't mean to talk to her. He just leaned against the wall of the carriage, and his face began to turn red.

"See you forever, huh, girl, that may not be true..." Wang Xiaoer snorted coldly, turned around and strode into the rain.
