Chapter 15: White Tiger Constellations, Green Chi Listening to the Qin

Chapter 15: White Tiger Constellations, Green Chi Listening to the Qin

Yunqi returned to his residence with a pile of books in his arms.

He sat at the desk, first took out the "White Tiger Seven Stars", and slowly tore open the paper cover on the scroll.

A flash of silvery-white light suddenly shone through the scroll, and the silver light fell on Yunqi's face, making Yunqi feel as if a knife was cutting his skin and it was cold.

He placed the scroll on the far right side of the table and slowly unfolded it to the left. After the scroll was unfolded, the silver light became even brighter, piercing his eyes. Yunqi subconsciously closed his eyes.

"Roar!"

A tiger roar sounded out of nowhere, forcing Yunqi to open his eyes while holding back tears.

At this moment, he happened to see a white tiger leaping out from the scroll, and then disappearing into the galaxy that also appeared out of thin air. When he wanted to take a closer look, there was no trace of it.

He marveled at the magic of the immortal arts, and at the same time he realized that this ancient artifact from the Warring States Period was indeed extraordinary.

He looked at the scroll carefully and found that the background color was black, the lines of the characters' portraits were silver, and the colors of the characters' clothes were colorful, as if it was painted by a great painter. It was impossible to tell that it was a rubbing from a screen thousands of years ago.

Looking more closely, the scroll is painted from right to left:
Kui Mu Xingjun. In the portrait, this Xingjun lies on a piece of jade, with one hand supporting his head and the other holding a long green sword, looking angry. He has an indigo face, white fangs, tangled red sideburns on both sides of his head, and three or four strands of purple whiskers on his chin. The Xingjun wears a light yellow robe, and walks barefoot with a pair of green feet, the joints of which are like cliff branches.

Lou Jinxingjun. In the portrait, this star god is tall and burly, standing with a sword in his arms, wearing a wide ochre-red robe, a black square crown on his head, and thick-soled official boots on his feet. He has a square face, bright yellow color, a mustache on his lips, a thick beard under his chin, eyes like lightning, and a majestic appearance.

In the portrait, this star god stands with his hands behind his back, holding a spear diagonally in his hand, wearing armor, a yellow robe over the armor, and a pheasant feather crown on his head, looking majestic.

The Pleiades Star God. In the portrait, this star god is dressed very gorgeously, with a golden pearl peach leaf crown on his head and a scarlet robe with a pattern of colorful clouds surrounding the stars painted on it. The clouds are rolling and the stars form the Pleiades. There is a warm yellow jade belt around his waist, inlaid with various colors of agate, and a tablet is inserted on the jade belt, on which is painted the beautiful scenery of mountains and rivers.

The Pleiades Star Lord is not tall, but rather thin, with a white face and no beard, fiery eyes with golden pupils, and a hooked nose.

The Star Lord had his left hand behind his back and his right hand raised high, twisting a ball of fire between his thumb and index finger. Upon closer inspection, he saw a thin embroidery needle in the fire. The Star Lord narrowed one eye and tilted his head back, as if he had just refined a treasure and was using the sunlight from the sky to look at the embroidery needle.

Bi Yue Xingjun. In the portrait, this Xingjun is wearing a moon-white palace skirt with layers of tassels on it. His hair, ears, and neck are all decorated with bright pearls, which is really a jewel. The Xingjun holds two swords and looks forward, with a look of anger and murderousness in his eyes, and he looks very heroic.

The Lord of Mars. In the portrait, this star god is wearing the official uniform of a star official, with purple and black colors interweaving, and is extremely noble. The star god has a red face and a pointed mouth, his eyes are like red charcoal, and he holds a short red iron stick in his hand, looking angry.

Refer to the God of Water. In the portrait, this God of Water is tall and burly, with thick eyebrows and big eyes, and he is dressed in green armor and a blue robe with rippling water. He has his left hand on his waist and a large seal in his right hand, looking down at others and reprimanding them.

These seven star gods occupy seven elements of yin and yang and are ranked as the White Tiger in the west. They are in charge of military affairs and killing. It should be enough for them to be the main deities of the palace in the brain now and the gods of the five internal organs in the future.

If the cloud wants to open up the heart palace, the inner god must be of the fire element. Logically, the first choice would be Mars Lord, but the cloud prefers Pleiades Lord.

There are three reasons.

Firstly, Pleiades is a god belonging to the sun. Although he is beyond the five elements, he is also the root of fire. It is difficult to combine yin and yang with the five elements, but it is easy to derive the five elements from yin and yang. There is nothing wrong with him being the main god of the heart.

Secondly, the true form of the Pleiades star god is a large rooster with double crowns and golden eyes. The rooster is a "bird of five virtues". There is an old saying that goes, "A rooster wearing a crown on its head is a symbol of culture; one with spurs on its feet is a symbol of martial arts; one that dares to fight when the enemy is in front of it is a symbol of bravery; one that calls out to others when seeing food is a symbol of kindness; and one that keeps watch on time is a symbol of trustworthiness." In comparison, the true form of the Mars star god is a fire monkey, who is jumpy and irritable, and is not liked by clouds.

Thirdly, the chicken is a yang bird, and its duty is to announce the dawn. It can restrain the yin energy, and can defeat the monsters, insects and snakes in the world. As the official of the heart, it has the power to command the five organs and give orders to all the orifices.

After having an idea in mind, Yunqi thought about it carefully several times and confirmed that there was nothing wrong with it, so he made up his mind.

He put away the scroll and pasted the paper seal back on to prevent the divine intention from leaking out too quickly.

Afterwards, he flipped through the "Construction Methods of Taoist Palaces and Temples", focusing on the essentials of constructing palaces and temples for the Yang Official, Star Official, and Fire God.

————Spring goes and winter comes, and it snows heavily today.

Songlu Lake is located in a pine forest south of Xiaowan Mountain and is sparsely visited by people.

Today is the sixth day of the winter month, and it is the snowing season. In fact, it has been snowing for five days in a row. The snow is all around, and there is white snow on the ground and fog in the sky, making it difficult to distinguish the boundaries.

The pine forest was covered with white snow, except for one spot in the center of the forest which was still lush green. It was the Songlu Lake. There was cold mist rising over the lake, but it was not frozen. There was a red dot in the cold mist above the center of the lake.

The sharp wind from the pine trees blew away a corner of the fog, and then I could see that the red dot was actually a fire cloud.

On the fire cloud, a young Taoist priest stood, his eyes slightly closed, and his body repeated several movements:
Lift your hands along the sides of your body, draw an arc forward around the Changqiang and Shenshu acupoints, and lift them in front of the body to the level of the clavicle. Make your arms round as if holding a ball, with your fingertips facing each other.

Then squat down, let your arms drop down and slowly place them above your knees.

Along with these movements, the young Taoist priest uttered a syllable slowly:
【blow】!
After finishing the long syllable, the boy slowly stood up as he inhaled, and his arms naturally dropped to his sides.

Just as the boy inhaled, the cold mist on the lake was also inhaled into his mouth.

At this time, if you look down from above, you can easily see a dark green shadow swimming in the lake below the red cloud.

"Okay, thank you for protecting me."

The young Taoist priest said something to the water.

"Wow~"

Suddenly, there was a sound of water, and a huge creature broke through the water surface, and a big head that looked like a dragon but not a dragon, and like a snake but not a snake popped out.

The giant creature was covered in green scales, with a dragon head but no horns. It turned out to be a green Chi.

The head of the green dragon sticking out of the lake is about the same size as the young Taoist standing on the red cloud. Judging from its size, this green dragon is not yet an adult and is a juvenile.

The little green dragon opened its mouth and spit out something. The object fell into the clouds and was caught by the young Taoist priest. It was a dark green guqin.

Seeing the young man catch the guqin, the little green dragon's green eyes were suddenly filled with joy and anticipation.

"Are you still going to play The Fisher Girl?"

The little green dragon nodded repeatedly.

The young Taoist priest smiled and said yes, then put his hands on the zither and began to play the ancient song from the Tang Dynasty, "The Fisher Girl".

This little tune is a little-known one. It was discovered accidentally by the young Taoist's father from some ancient music score when he was young. Unexpectedly, it became the favorite of the young dragon.

A few months ago, I was collecting water vapor on the lake. It happened to be the Mid-Autumn Festival at midnight, and the lake was reflecting the moon. I sang the song that my parents sang to express their love, but I didn't expect that it would attract the green dragon to linger around.

Yunqi plucked the strings of the guqin named "Tianfeng Songxue". The tone of this guqin was naturally very different from that of his old father's ordinary guqin. But at this moment, Yunqi missed his father's guqin music very much, and missed his mother's warm and satisfied smile when she heard this song.
