Chapter 35 Remarks on the launch
Chapter 35 Remarks on the launch
It has been over 0:00 since 4:00, and I have deleted it three times. Finally, I have finished coding the first VIP chapter with some bumps and bumps. Now I would like to write down my thanks for putting it on the shelves.
Let me first talk about this book. It’s a niche genre of suspense…a rule-based horror story. Emm…how should I put it? It’s like the debuff is maxed out when the book is opened. But I thought of this when I was conceiving this book.
Although I have written millions of words of fantasy and fairy tale novels, they have never been very popular. Every time I design a climax, I feel that I am being pushed by the plot instead of me pushing the plot. I have been confused about this for a long time.
I have thought about the reason, and it is basically that I can't help but think of some "logic" that would make people laugh if I say it out loud. Of course, it is not ruled out that I am just too bad at writing fantasy and fairy tales.
By chance, I learned about ghost stories, and then learned a little about the "K-series" style while listening to Foxtail's live class. So I went to read "The Call of K-Xru" by the great god Aishu (I don't know if this book can be typed out, so I omitted a word).
To be honest, only by reading the original novel can you vaguely understand what the horror of "K-series" is like. Then, I looked for some ghost story novels on the Internet, and found... ahem, here is the mysterious smile of Principal Wang commenting on Mou Han's acting skills.jpg.
My first reaction was: What is this, big brother? You are writing a weird story about a man who is invincible and ignores the rules. Is this a good story?
It's a mystery! It's a rule-based weird story! Can you please write something interesting?
It was because there were no books to read that I started to do it.
Before I started, Mo Fangju was traveling and came to Suzhou to visit me. I proposed this idea to him. In the early stage of drafting the student code, Mo Fangju gave me a lot of advice, so I thanked Mo Fangju first. I said I would write it and test the waters. If it is good, I will trick (cross out, invite) him to join the rules-based weird talk.
My initial idea was very pure. No matter what the market was like, I would write a rule-based horror story for Ai Fa Dian that I imagined would be the kind with some counter-themed horror.
After I drafted the preliminary rules, I wrote an introduction and gave it to my editor Ye Xiao Da. After reading it, Ye Xiao Da said, "You can write it, but the popularity has passed."
I just saw the word “yes” and automatically ignored “the heat has passed” because all I needed to know was “you can write”.
I told Ye Xiaoda that for this book, I would only write a complete ghost story. Once I finished writing it, if the response was not good, I would just finish the book, and it would still be a complete story.
If it is well written, there will naturally be a sequel.
Regarding the subsequent part, in addition to S City University, I actually conceived some locations, but because I was not sure whether everyone would like it, I did not make detailed plans for the subsequent weird stories. I just deduced the logical chain of "S City University" to a closed loop.
Then I started writing the book. Oh, and by the way, since the logic of the entire code was conceived by me bit by bit from scratch, the whole process was really difficult. There was no one for me to refer to (at least I didn't know. I have read Zoo Tales, but to be honest, its help to me in this logical chain was very limited). So in the end it took me more than a month to come up with the initial logical chain, and then I kept discussing it with Mo Fangju, and it finally took more than two months to complete the logical chain 1.
I remember it was August at that time, and then I completed the entire logical chain bit by bit. It was probably in September that I started writing the main text. I made some revisions during that period, and the book was not published until October.
Actually, I was very busy in October, but I told Ye Xiao that I would start writing on September 10st, hahahahahahaha… It dragged on until October, and seeing that the October holiday was over, I made up my mind and decided to push myself a little. This person, if you don’t push yourself, you really won’t move forward.
After publishing the book, I was actually very nervous, wondering if it would change from “generating electricity for love” to “generating electricity for true love”?
Hahahaha… I dismissed the idea once it crossed my mind, because I am confident that with a closed-loop logic, I can come up with a bunch of analysis posts just by throwing all the rules online, not to mention how fun (scary) it would be if I wrote it as a story. At worst, if no one reads it after I finish writing it, I can see if I can make it into a short video or something…
And then the book was published!
After publishing the book, I didn't expect that so many people liked it. The comments were often one or two hundred words long, which really made me smile. I was also slowly motivated to write every day.
During this process, I created a group and saw the number of group members increase from 1 to over 60 now. Although there are few people, the purity of everyone is very high. We discuss the plot and rules every day, which makes me feel very accomplished.
I would like to thank all the readers for their support. Thumbs up to you Orz!!!
Finally, about the results.
Currently there are 5000 collections and more than 300 follow-ups. I don't know how the data is after it's listed. Although it's very small compared to other categories, I don't know why I feel that if I don't mess up, I should be able to get some results... So, I'll work hard.
(Whispering: Although there are only more than 300 follow-up readings on the shelves, I am so greedy and want to go for the boutique TT, which is 3000 average. Hahaha, it seems a bit unrealistic, because 300 follow-up readings are almost 300 average subscriptions...)
Never mind all that. I’ll just keep writing and writing... Tell the story well, and the rest will be left to you, the readers.
Damn, I almost forgot...
Thanks to the two great guys who recommended my chapter - Bai Ya, the whitest crow. Bai Ya Giant’s status is so high that I don’t even have the face to recommend his book… I can only say that a drop of kindness will be repaid with a spring in the future. Thank you Bai Ya Giant on my knees.
There is also a rabbit giant, a medieval rabbit, whose status is also much higher than mine... I can only kneel down and thank you +2 here...
And Queen Vera who helped me, thank you so much +3...
Finally, let me talk about the update.
The minimum guarantee on Qidian is 4000 words per day, but I think a high-quality work will not be left stale, so I try to update as many words as possible every day. Although I want to reach words a day, I haven't tried it yet, so I can't guarantee much of an improvement here. I can only say that the update volume will be increased little by little, so just wait and see.
Also, if there is an alliance leader, I won't do any of that nonsense about how many chapters to add, just give the word count directly. An alliance leader will add 10,000 words, and I will try to add it within a week (woooo, woooo, that's what I'm saying, "meow", a sudden alliance leader makes me surprised and happy)!
All right... let's go!!!
I hope you like this story, and we’ll see you after the final words!
