Chapter 64: Three Disasters and Nine Tribulations

Chapter 64: Three Disasters and Nine Tribulations

Chu Tai didn't dislike the boy's behavior too much.

Or it could be said that this young man has learned how to deal with people in a relatively systematic way and would not do anything disgusting.

The most important thing is that this child has a very pure character. He is simply curious about immortals and gods and has no bad intentions.

But precisely because he was just curious, neither Chu Tai nor Taoist Dachun would guide him into Taoism.

And since there is no intention to lead him into Taoism, then the right thing to do is not to tell him about the many things about immortals and Buddhas.

After all, after two days of collision, the connection between fate and knowledge has become closer.

Many times when you know too many stories about immortals and gods, fate will bring some immortal and god-related matters to you.

But these things may not all be good things.

Just like now, Chu Tai looked at the ancient books brought by the young man, frowned slightly, and then smiled.

"It's really strange. Why did you bring a guest here today?"

"guest?"

The young man was stunned for a moment, a little at a loss. The moment he looked behind him, a black light flew out from his sleeve and escaped.

A green light emerged and pierced through it. The clear air rolled up and returned to Chu Tai's hand, on which was a black beetle the size of a grain of rice.

"Is this a Gu insect?"

The boy didn't look frightened, but rather eager to try.

Chu Tai held the green light in his hand, looked at the frozen beetle and said with a smile: "It is the product of the witchcraft. This insect was concocted by the caster. There is a spiritual power inside it that can connect with people's minds. Through it, he can see your every move."

Hearing this, the young man's face suddenly froze. He recalled some of the things he had done recently, especially the way he cheered in the room after knowing Chu Tai's existence. His face couldn't help but turn red again.

Chu Tai, who saw what the young man was thinking, shook his head and handed the Qingmang to him.

"Take this thing back with you. This poisonous insect contains a bit of the other party's spiritual consciousness. When this green light emits light, it means that the person next to you is the one who cast the poison on you."

After the young man took the green light, Chu Tai took out a talisman arrow from his sleeve and handed it to him, and taught him a protective spell.

The boy holding these things immediately lost his embarrassed mood and ran back excitedly.

"He really is a child..."

Chu Tai shook his head and then laughed, remembering that he might not be much older than the boy.

Guo Shan, who was following Chu Tai, looked at the boy leaving and thought for a while.

"Master, there seems to be a little bit of corpse qi on him, which is a bit similar to the corpse qi in the pool in the mountain."

Hearing this, Chu Tai was not surprised. He nodded to indicate that he understood, and then explained some of the inside story to Guo Shan.

"This place is so small, and gathering qi and refining treasures will inevitably affect each other. Otherwise, why would Fellow Daoist Dachun be so angry? To put it bluntly, that place has ruined the feng shui of the land, and it may also pollute the water source and cause plague."

"Similarly, the people who practice cultivation in this city will inevitably be affected, especially those who imprison the undead and practice evil arts."

As he spoke, Chu Tai's eyes flashed with the light of the sun and the moon, and he saw the faint aura of death in a remote small building in the home that the young man had visited.

"After a while, when he comes back, I'll leave it to you to handle. It's appropriate to leave his family's problems to you to handle."

Guo Shan was stunned when he heard this: "Is it just me?" "What else?"

Chu Tai smiled and asked back: "You have been practicing with me for some time, and your wisdom is gradually recovering. I think it won't be long before you can live independently. Why should I restrict you?"

"master!"

Guo Shan was so frightened that he wanted to kneel on the ground, but was supported by Chu Tai's true energy.

"The reason why I brought you with me and taught you magic is, first, because you have a kind heart. Even if your wisdom is damaged, you are still willing to do good. Second, because the fate between me and your parents has continued to you in the absence of your parents."

"But in fact, my cultivation method is more inclined to the sun and moon moving in the sky, and your cultivation method is to bear life and death on the ground. The two are not closely related, and the conflict is not small."

"To put it bluntly, the bond between you and me is shallow and will eventually end, and now it is almost time."

After Chu Tai finished speaking, he no longer paid attention to Guo Shan's thoughts and began to read various books.

In the following days, Guo Shan was in a very low mood until the young man came to him again. After Guo Shan went out with him, his mood calmed down a lot.

"Has it been dealt with?"

Chu Tai looked at the thick yin energy on Guo Shan and asked casually.

As Guo Shan nodded, he took out a small jar from behind him, which contained a rosy-skinned, chubby-looking baby.

"Master, this is something made by someone in his family who practices evil magic. How should we deal with it?"

He stretched out his hand and the smell of decay spread out from the baby's body. Chu Tai closed his eyes slightly.

"Although I expected this, why do these people always like to use children as materials..."

With a long sigh, Chu Tai taught Guo Shan a spell to liberate the souls of the dead, and then gave Guo Shan some instructions.

"I know what that kid said to you, but Guo Shan, you have to know that although he has some affinity with the same Dao, his heart is shallow. Now is not the right time, and you must not teach him the techniques."

Just as he finished speaking, Dachun Taoist came in, pointed at Chu Tai and scolded him with a smile: "Daoyou, what you did is not authentic."

"Did I do something wrong?"

Chu Tai asked back. Taoist Dachun was stunned for a moment and sighed, "You didn't do anything wrong, but it's a pity that the boy's entry into Taoism will be extended for a long time."

"Wouldn't it be better to extend it a little? His desire to enter the Dao is shallow to begin with. If he is stimulated by external forces such as family changes, he may temporarily develop the desire to enter the Dao, but it may not last long. Why should we force it?"

Chu Tai stood up and looked in the direction of the young man's house. After Guo Shan brought the jar back, the pure energy gathered again above the mansion, and it could prosper for another twenty or thirty years.

"I entered Taoism after my hometown was hit by a disaster, and Guo Shan entered Taoism after he was kidnapped. I think fellow Taoists also have their own stories. Since we are already in this situation, why should we watch others suffer?"

Taoist Dachun was also somewhat moved when he heard this.

"Those who seek the truth must undergo the three disasters and endure the nine hardships. The three disasters are man-made disasters of war, plague, and famine; earth-level disasters of fire, boiling water, and wind; and natural disasters of demonic trials, thunderstorms, and burning certificates."

"The nine difficulties are: the first is that the great medicine has not been completed, and food and clothing are in short supply; the second is that the karma from the past is heavy, and the elders invite and stop; the third is that the shackles of gratitude and affection are tied, and the fire house is worried; the fourth is that the mind is constantly deluded, and fame and wealth are entangled; the fifth is that the weak energy leads to illness, and the root of yin leads to disaster; the sixth is that one cannot distinguish between the true and the false, and is restricted by a blind teacher; the seventh is that one points to the side doors and discusses differences; the eighth is that one changes his mind from morning to night, and his will is slack; the ninth is that time is limited, and the years are wasted."

"Only by overcoming these numerous tribulations can one hope to ascend to heaven, achieve the highest level of immortality, and roam freely in heaven and earth."

The settings of the three disasters and nine tribulations have been modified to a certain extent.
