What is the law?
It is the eternal and unchanging law of magic and the fundamental rule for the operation of this world. Every wizard who creates the law of magic will be recorded in history and may even become the founder of a top school or even an important doctrine.
And now the other party actually said that he had studied out three laws regarding the movement of stars and wanted to provide assistance to the legendary wizard Harof. This was simply extremely arrogant.
In the past, Theresa had seen people who boldly claimed that they had important research results in order to deceive her into recommending wizards, but this was the first time someone said such an exaggerated statement.
Theresa's face showed an extremely impatient look. She reached out and snatched the letter from Lin En's hand, and said very stiffly, "The teacher is studying a very important topic these days and has no time to meet with you for the time being. If your theory is really that useful, I think the teacher will consider giving you this opportunity after reading it!"
"The planetary theory that Lord Harof verified before is my theory. I think he should be willing to meet me." Lin En did not give up, but explained.
He somewhat suspected that the other party failed to recognize his identity.
Theresa saw through Lin's thoughts and sneered. "Of course I know who you are. You're the one who shamelessly said that the magic theory of the wizarding land is outdated, right?"
"But I want to tell you that the law of free fall that you proposed has actually been known to me for a long time, but the relevant research results have not been published yet. My trip to the top of the world is not just to verify whether the continent is round."
At this point, Theresa was somewhat indignant. The law of free fall was a by-product of her teacher Harov's research on gravity. It had been concluded a few years ago, but he was planning to publish it together with the soon-to-be-completed theory of gravity. Unexpectedly, Lynn got there first.
What’s even more infuriating is that this wizard from the Secas Empire mocked and questioned the research on magic in the Wizarding Land. This is simply like an ignorant mouse mocking the dragon in the sky!
How could Theresa keep a good face?
"You just heard it. Everyone here thinks that their research can help the teacher. Should I let others in as well?" Theresa said coldly.
Almost every day, someone would wait at the gate of the manor, submitting their research materials in an attempt to gain the appreciation of the legendary wizard. If I agreed to all of them, there would be no end to it...
The so-called research of these formal wizards is completely worthless. Most of the theories are full of errors and omissions, or they are just some outdated ideas that will only waste the teacher's precious time.
After saying that, Theresa turned around and left with a stack of manuscript paper and envelopes, and the gate of the manor was closed.
After being turned away, Lin En showed a helpless expression on his face. He thought that after the publicity of "Magic Daily", he would be somewhat famous in the wizarding land, and it should be no problem to meet the legendary wizard Harof.
But now it seems that his fame brings more than just positive influence.
"Sir, do you know how long it usually takes for the legendary wizard to check these letters?" Lin En turned his head to look at the wizard next to him and asked.
"That's hard to say, maybe a few hours, or maybe a few days. It all depends on when Harof becomes interested!" The wizard shook his head, and there was a hint of gloating in his eyes when he looked at Lin En.
Over the past half month, this wizard from beyond the Misty Sea has become extremely famous, but now he is still being turned away like himself.
Lin En shook his head. Perhaps it was too fast for him to raise his target to the level of a legendary wizard. After all, the other party was the top figure in the wizarding land and he could not meet him just because he wanted to.
……
At the same time, inside the manor, Theresa carefully opened the door of the laboratory, trying not to make any noise so as not to disturb Harrov who was thinking.
In the center of the laboratory, there is a huge platform with several small magic balls suspended on it. They are orbiting the huge magic ball in the center and constantly making uniform circular motion to simulate the influence of the star's gravity on the planet.
The vast starry sky was unexpectedly reduced to a small area. Theresa could not help but sigh at the greatness of the legendary wizard.
At this moment, Harov was standing at the bottom of the platform, holding the data he had just calculated in his hand, and shouting angrily, "Impossible, it can't be like this... The orbit of the stars should be a perfect circle, and the center of the circle should be in the middle!"
The more Harov thought about it, the angrier he became, and finally he simply tore into pieces the data that he had spent more than ten hours to calculate.
According to his idea, gravity will present a perfect circular shape like water waves, and the effects of some force field magic can verify this well.
However, the star map data produced by the Prophecy School did not correspond to the perfect gravitational model he had established. There must be something missing, such as an interference factor that he had not yet noticed...
Or is it that the star map data given to him by the prophecy school is actually wrong.
As Harov was thinking hard, Theresa squatted on the ground carefully, picked up the torn manuscript papers one by one, and pieced them together.
In her opinion, every study of the teacher is an in-depth exploration of the world and the laws of magic. Even the mistakes and omissions are extremely valuable. These manuscripts contain the most profound thoughts!
Chapter 136: The Shocked Legendary Wizard Harolf
Harov thought for a long time but came to no avail. Finally, he sighed, looked at Theresa and asked.
"Where is today's research material?"
"Here, teacher." Teresa handed over a pile of manuscript paper very respectfully.
Harof picked up a piece of parchment and started reading it. Although the various ideas proposed by these formal wizards were full of loopholes, they were imaginative enough that they could sometimes give him some inspiration.
After all, this is exactly what he lacks most right now.
Harof scanned the lines, then quickly threw it aside and picked up the next piece of parchment to read.
After reading more than a dozen copies, Harov's patience slowly ran out.
Because the quality of the theories in this issue is so poor, many theories have no factual basis at all and are just groundless fantasies.
It's just a waste of your time!
Forget it, I'd better finish reading it first. Maybe I can find some inspiration.
Harov shook his head, held on to the last glimmer of hope, and picked up the very exquisite envelope left on the table.
"Tell them next time to just bring manuscript paper. There's no need to make all these messy decorations." Harov said dissatisfiedly.
"Yes, teacher, I will remind them." Theresa nodded quickly, and she hated the wizard named Lin En from outside the wizarding land more and more, because the letter was taken from him.
"Huh?" After Harov casually opened the envelope, he was stunned.
Because the envelope was not filled with research papers on magic theory, but an invitation letter.
[Respected legendary wizard Mr. Harrof
I heard that you are studying the laws of the movement of stars and are committed to deciphering the secrets of gravity, space and time. I hereby invite you to join the [Secret Law Society] to explore the mysteries of the truth of the universe together...]
Harov frowned. He had no idea how many invitations from academic research organizations he had to reject every month, and now he got one mixed in with the research materials.
"I'm sorry, it's my fault, teacher. I should have reviewed it first." Theresa responded in a panic. This was her job, but because there was some delay before, she just brought it in directly.
"The Secret Society..." Harov didn't throw the letter away directly, because he seemed to have heard of this name somewhere. "Who brought this letter?"
"It was a wizard named Lin En, the wizard from the Sea of Mist who came up with the planet theory." Theresa said indignantly. "That arrogant guy also said that he brought three laws and a formula that can solve the problem you are facing."
"What about the laws and formulas?" Harrov asked.
Since this wizarding organization can clearly propose the theory of planets and the law of free fall, it proves that they have some knowledge at least. It won’t hurt to take a look!
Theresa was choked up and couldn't speak...
Fortunately, Harov quickly found the formulas and laws written by Lynn on the back of the invitation letter.
[First law: The orbits of all planets around stars are ellipses, and the star is at a focus of the ellipse.]
After scanning the first line, Harov nodded thoughtfully.
Indeed, he also discovered this phenomenon in the process of studying the movement of stars, but the question is why this is the case. According to his speculation, the gravitational field should be a perfect circle, and the stars should be at the center of the circle.
This is also one of the problems that has always troubled him.
So Harov looked down in a hurry, but to his surprise, there was no explanation at all, but the second and third laws were directly proposed.
[Second Law: For any planet, the area swept by the line connecting it and the star is proportional to the time of motion, and the magnitude of the planet's surface-grazing velocity is constant.]
[The Third Law: The ratio of the cube of the semi-major axis of all planetary orbits to the square of their orbital period is equal, and the ratio is only related to the celestial body they orbit. ]
Harov's expression immediately became serious, because these were two brand new rules that he had not yet discovered.
"Hurry, bring paper and pen, I want to verify it." Harov shouted loudly.
Could it be that these so-called laws are really useful to teachers? Theresa felt a little uneasy in her heart, and she didn't understand why just three short sentences could make Harov, a legendary wizard, lose his composure so much.
Although she was completely confused, Theresa hurriedly took the paper and pen.
However, Harof, who could not wait any longer, used his magic power to write and draw in the air, and then took the data from the star maps to compare them one by one.
Theresa was so frightened that she dared not even breathe. She just waited there with a pen and paper, and she waited like that for several hours.
When it was light in the sky, Harov stopped and looked at the orbital data of the stars suspended in the air, muttering to himself.
"It fits, it really fits!"
Harov felt that he was closer to the truth than ever before.
So he looked at the end of the invitation letter.
There is a short one-line formula there.
F=GMm/r^2
However, these operation symbols...he couldn't understand them at all!
What does this F stand for and what is G?
Harov knew nothing about these mathematical operation symbols from another world and could only make guesses based on his previous research. He had a hunch that what he had been pursuing was within this short line of formula!
"Where is Lin En? Where is he now?" Harof suddenly remembered the person who sent the letter and asked anxiously. The other party must understand the meaning of this formula.
"Teacher, it was too late yesterday, so the wizard named Lin En went back first... As for now, he should be attending a seminar." Theresa replied hesitantly, not daring to mention that she had deliberately stopped him outside the door.
"I'll bring him here right away!" Theresa hurriedly planned to go out and bring Lin En back.
As for the previous conflict, she no longer cared about it.
Theresa knew very well that she was just a three-ring wizard with ordinary talent. It was because she provided some inspiration to Harof with an academic paper that she was appreciated and became his apprentice.
If this legendary wizard knew that he had made such a big mistake, he would probably lose his current position.
"No need, it's too slow. I'd better go there myself." Harov had a thought, and he sorted out the messy research manuscripts in the room and gathered them in his hands, and then flew out directly from the wide open window.
Chapter 137: Morning Star, Silver Moon, and Corona!
"Professor Lin En, where on earth did you go last night? I wanted to discuss today's topic with you, but you didn't come back after waiting for more than an hour."
In front of the hall of the magic seminar in Greenore City, Philip asked with a slight complaint. You know, he was busy for an entire afternoon and evening yesterday just to help Lin En win the debate.
"I went to see Lord Harof to verify a theory." Lynn continued.
"And then? Did you meet that adult?" Philip asked curiously.
"No, not really. In fact, I was stopped right outside the door." Lin En answered calmly.
"That's normal. Even if it's Master Hellram, if he wants to meet this legendary wizard, he has to make an appointment in advance and choose a time when the other party is free." Philip laughed. Harof is a well-known research maniac. It would be strange if Lin En didn't get embarrassed when he came to him so rashly.
Lynn shrugged and didn't care too much about the failure. Instead, he turned to look at Johnny and the others, asking if they were ready for what he wanted. After getting a positive answer, he walked into the magic seminar hall with everyone else.
