Chapter 84 Ginny and Buckbeak

Della fiddled with the necklace in her hand. This necklace was assembled from disassembled endoscope parts. The outermost layer was a hazy crystal, and the inside was red crystal surrounded by circles of chains.

Several small protrusions are irregularly arranged on the hazy crystal on the outer layer of the necklace. Every time it is fiddled with, the layers of chains inside the crystal will rotate accordingly.

And the crystal inside will become more fiery with each rotation.

Della fiddled with her newly made necklace a few more times. Although it did not involve any knowledge of alchemy and was just a simple ornament, she was quite satisfied with this handmade work.

"Hey! Della!"

The girl's clear voice was heard, and Della pressed down the necklace that she was moving. She turned her head to look at the jumping red color.

"You're here quite early, Ginny. Oh hey, Luna, nice to see you." Della added after seeing Luna beside Ginny.

"Nice to see you, Moonlight." Luna tilted her head, and the big carrot pendant on her ear tilted to the side.

"Moonlight? Did Harry and the others tell you about yesterday's performance? Oh, this is really embarrassing." Della touched her chest exaggeratedly, looking just like Fatima who had given up on the stage yesterday.

"We didn't hear it," Ginny laughed. She followed Della and walked forward. "Many people used the photo ball. We cast it in the lounge last night. We watched a lot of games together. Yours was the one that had the most fans."

"Ravenclaw, too. Last night, many people started calling you Moonlight in that theatrical way, but I think it's more appropriate to call you Daylight."

"You held such an event last night? Wait, I'm feeling a little complicated now. This situation is beyond my expectation." Della slowed down her pace, not knowing what to say for a moment.

"Don't be embarrassed, Della, you guys are so great! It feels like you've surpassed those pages of Lockhart's paper!" Ginny shook Della's sleeve.

"Except for Fawcett's group, which is also very dedicated, your group is no longer at the level of group work." Luna's eyes were not fully open, and because her pace slowed down, she looked left and right aimlessly.

"You've said too much, Luna." Despite her dreamy expression, her words were surprisingly aggressive. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to describe her as honest. Della's thoughts wandered for a moment, but she quickly returned to the topic, "Zabini is very knowledgeable in this area. He often goes to the theater with his mother."

"And those super-level props, some are magic from Nott and I, and some are from Nott's family who sent them over in letters. The 'smart blue powder' was sent by his family, and it seems to be very expensive." Looking at him so deserted, I didn't expect him to be so favored at home.

"Because he is 'Theodore' from the Nott family. I heard from my father about his family. Nott's mother was already quite old when she gave birth to him." Ginny carefully recalled what Arthur had said at home. She raised her eyes and paused before continuing, "His father is also much older than my father. My father said that old Nott is better than the Malfoy family, but still annoying."

Theodore, God's gift...

While Della was thinking about the name of the pale and thin boy, they had already arrived at Hagrid's pumpkin patch that was enlarged by the spell.

"Della, you haven't told me why you called us here." Looking at the big pumpkin in front of her, Ginny's expression looked a little unnatural, and her voice became deeper when she asked the question.

"There have been so many surprises along the way that I forgot to tell you about them." Della loosened her grip on the necklace and spread her hands in front of the two girls. She took out another necklace of almost the same style from her pocket and placed it in her red palm. "This is a consolation gift for you."

"A carrot carved from wood?" Luna held the necklace in front of her eyes, her silver eyes staring at the wooden carrot embedded in the crystal.

"It's the piece of wood you carved last time. It was so big, but in the end, only this one looked acceptable. I think I need to improve my craftsmanship," Della sighed. "I can only put it in. Do you like it?"

"Did you make this by dismantling those spyglasses? I love it, Della!" Ginny looked very happy.

"I like it too." Luna said as she put on the necklace. She groped behind her head with her hands and put it on before anyone else could ask for help.

"As long as you like it." Della didn't bother with the wine cork still on Luna's neck. She helped Ginny put on the necklace. "There will be other consolation gifts later. I heard from Percy that although the four children have been put in detention, I think it's better to take you out to play."

"They're just a few annoying little buggers. I'm not that fragile!" Ginny argued.

"But you've been absent-minded lately. You even held the broom upside down during the flying lesson the day before yesterday." Luna walked to the big pumpkin and reached out to touch it.

"......" Ginny pouted and her fiery red hair fell to one side.

"For Weasley, there's nothing that can't be solved by flying." Della took the hands of the two children. She was taller than other girls of the same age, and looked more like an older sister in front of the two first-year students.

"Fly for a while? Della, we're only in the first grade." Although her tone was evasive, Ginny's big blinking eyes completely revealed her expectation.

"Don't think I didn't notice, Ginny. Mrs. Weasley doesn't allow you to ride a broom at home." Della lowered her eyes and looked at Ginny who was pretending.

"Hey." Ginny stuck out her tongue.

"I've flown once or twice before, and I think it's a little faster than a broom. Maybe that's because I can't fly fast," Della led them through Hagrid's hut and toward the woodland where the Thestrals were. "Luna, if you don't like flying I can take you to see other animals, but only outside the Forbidden Forest of course."

"Animals? Forbidden Forest? We're going to use animals in the Forbidden Forest to fly?!" Ginny looked even more excited.

"Honestly, Ginny, I sometimes think you're braver than Harry." Della said bluntly, but she was very happy that Ginny had visibly recovered.

Luna tilted her head and stared at Ginny's head as if she wanted to say something. When she was about to open her mouth, her attention was attracted by the Thestral that appeared in front of her. She let go of Della's hand and walked over there.

"Luna, why are you walking towards that empty fence!" Ginny had already caught a glimpse of Buckbeak's half-exposed body, and she was about to walk there holding Della's hand.

"I'm fine here. They're very docile, right, Della?" Luna turned and looked at Della.

"......" Although Della was a little surprised that Luna could see the Thestrals, she didn't say much. She told Luna, "They are very docile, but if you want to ride on them, you have to wait for me to come back."

"Is there something here that is invisible to the naked eye like the nuisance fly?" Ginny's eyes widened in confusion, but her mind had long been attracted by Buckbeak, who had exposed his entire body. At this moment, she had no time to take another look at the empty forest. She only wanted to quickly ride on the smooth-bodied hippogriff.

"You still need one more step, Ginny." Della raised her wand and led Ginny towards Buckbeak, who was looking up at them. "His name is Buckbeak. He is very beautiful. As long as you respect him, he will be very friendly."

"What should I do?" Ginny looked up at Della, and she finally hesitated.

"Look him in the eyes, show him your courage and admiration for him, don't feel pressured, you will do well, Ginny." Della led Ginny to three meters away from Buckbeak, and while whispering encouragement to the girl, she also clenched her wand.

Ginny pursed her lips and unconsciously tightened Della's hand. She did not look directly into Buckbeak's eyes, but admired his muscular body first. After she had calmed down mentally, she looked at Buckbeak with her bright brown eyes.

It went very smoothly. Buckbeak lowered his head slightly. Ginny turned around excitedly and smiled at Della. She couldn't wait to pull Della two or three steps closer to Buckbeak.

Della waved her wand, and three transparent magic stairs flashing green light appeared in front of the two of them. They walked up the stairs and sat on Buckbeak. After hugging Ginny, Della patted the underside of Buckbeak's neck, and the muscles under her crotch immediately began to move.

"Hold tight, Ginny. Buckbeak doesn't like being tied up. I can only promise that he will fly back. Oh, don't worry. I have already fed him well before—"

"what--"

Before Della could finish her words, Buckbeak flew up, and Ginny screamed excitedly, "This is much faster than the broom I've ever ridden -"

Buckbeak had risen very high, and the real water vapor kept hitting Della's face, and the perceived temperature dropped a little, but the early autumn noon sun and the excitement of flying completely made up for the chill.

Ginny in his arms seemed even more excited. She was originally clinging to Buckbeak, but now she had a tendency to lift her body. Della slid down and removed her hands from Ginny, allowing both of them to slowly sit up straight.

"Ah-ah-"

A blush crept up on Ginny's face, which had turned pale due to the cold. She looked at the mountains below her, constantly passing through the vague clouds, and vented her emotions to her heart's content. After shouting a few times, her face became very rosy, and the sunlight that had just shone on her body was not as hot as her at this moment.
