Enkidu sounded as always - cunning?
"And what about other things?"
"The shop and equipment are almost ready, but we are still short of a few people."
Kyosuke thought for a moment and said to Enkidu, "I can find a few people here, and as for ordinary waiters, just post a job opening. I'll come to interview them then."
"Thank you for your hard work, Manager Kyosuke."
PS: The third volume is almost here. There will be an epilogue after that, just like the first volume. Kyosuke will start working alone from the fourth volume. But before that, Mi-chan will fill in the gaps in the second volume, which is expected to take 1-2 weeks. Then the fourth volume will start in mid-to-late April.
End of Volume 3
Kyosuke looked at the resumes Enkidu handed him in silence. Four-fifths of them were his old acquaintances and all of them were Heroic Spirits. So is there anything in the Heroic Spirit circle that can be kept secret? Every time there is a little movement, it is known to everyone.
I won't talk about Nero and Elizabeth, but what the hell are Fergus and Cuchulain? I remember that you followed my dad to be a policeman, didn't you? How come you have time to work as a bartender here?
And don’t think that I don’t recognize you just because you wear glasses and change your name, Shuten. I know it’s you. The two horns on your head have already exposed you.
"Okay, I'll let you know later if you're accepted."
Kyosuke waved his hand to dismiss Shuten who called herself "Rainy Day Lingling". He could see that Shuten was not here to apply for a job but to drink. After all, his bar was invested by Gilgamesh. This guy who liked to show off had sent a lot of good wine to the store just to show off.
"Kyosuke is really popular~"
Sitting next to Kyosuke for the interview, Yono teased Kyosuke while looking at the resume in her hand. As the second investor of the bar, Yono rushed over to join in the fun after hearing that Kyosuke was going to have an interview, under the pretext of helping Kyosuke to check things out.
Kyosuke didn't have time to pay attention to this guy. He reorganized the resumes in his hand and first picked out all the Heroic Spirits he was familiar with and put them aside. These people were either here to laugh at him or to drink for free. Unless there was really a shortage of manpower, Kyosuke would never consider these guys.
"What do you think of this?" Enkidu took out one of the resumes. "He has experience working in other bars. Such skilled workers will be of great help to a new store like ours."
"Kawasaki Saki?"
Kyosuke looked at the photo of the girl with long light blue hair on the resume. He felt that the girl looked surprisingly familiar, as if he saw her every day.
"Ah, and she's your classmate, Kyousuke. Isn't that better? Compared to a complete stranger who you don't know anything about."
Hearing Yang No's reminder, Kyosuke finally remembered the quiet and invisible girl in the class. He and she had almost no communication at all. This girl's presence in the class was much lower than that of Penguin Hachiman.
"But she's still in school, so she can only be a part-time worker at best. I think we still need someone who can work formally..."
Compared to those Heroic Spirits who came to cause trouble, Kyosuke didn't mind his classmates coming to work part-time, and he could even give them a little more preferential treatment in terms of pay.
"Ok?"
Kyosuke put Kawasaki's resume aside, and then he saw another resume that he was interested in. Although he had expected that he would meet her at some point, Kyosuke never expected that she would come for the interview.
Kyosuke thought about it for a moment and asked Enkidu's assistant to call in the person on the resume.
"Hello, I'm Kyousuke, the manager of this bar. Can you introduce yourself?"
The blonde girl nodded to Kyosuke and the other interviewers, then sat down on the chair, smiled innocently and said, "Hello, store manager. My name is Jean Dark and I'm from France."
PS1: Okay, the third volume is officially over, and the next step is to complete the second volume.
PS2: In order to make this chapter a free chapter, Mi-chan has deliberately controlled the number of words. Please bear with me if there are any problems with the description. _(:з」∠)_
Chapter 55
"My husband, you're back."
When Kyosuke returned home, the first thing he saw was Xiaoyu coming out of the kitchen to greet him. Xiaoyu breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Kyosuke appear unharmed.
"Why are you not sleeping yet?"
Kyosuke glanced at his watch and noticed it was already 1am.
"Because my husband hasn't come back yet. Although today we are having a dinner with friends, it's too late for my husband to come back, isn't it?"
Xiaoyu looked a little worried, and she held a handkerchief tightly in both hands and refused to let go.
"Well, something happened on the way back. Am I the last one to come back?"
Kyosuke was a little surprised to find that everyone's shoes except his were placed on the shoe rack by the entrance. Daisuke had clearly said that he would have to work overtime tonight and would probably be back tomorrow morning.
Xiaoyu lowered her head and explained to Kyosuke who was sitting in the entrance with his slippers on: "Father said that the work originally scheduled for tonight was cancelled, so he came back early. Originally, father wanted to talk to you, my husband, but you came back too late, so I let father go to bed first. What happened on your way back?"
"I'm sorry, I don't want to talk about this."
Kyosuke didn't really want to mention what happened that night, because he felt a little nauseous when he thought of the guy who was stabbed into a candied haws shape by Gilgamesh.
Fortunately, Gilgamesh had some discretion in his attack, and the other party did not die. And Gil did not use a cursed treasure, so the other party only had some superficial injuries, and he was soon out of danger after being sent to the hospital.
But the real trouble was the subsequent examination. According to Dr. Roman, the other person's entire body had been corroded by a special magic. Even if he was cured, he would probably have to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.
"Based on the degree and path of magic erosion, it should have been injected through a potion. In other words, this thing is very likely to be mass-produced, so Kyousuke, you must be careful recently and never leave Mashu-chan's side."
According to the doctor, the person or organization that created the monster is most likely targeting him. This makes Kyosuke feel very uncomfortable. He doesn't like the feeling of being targeted. And he has a sudden panic in his heart about what has happened recently. People around him keep reminding him to be careful, but no one tells him what happened. This situation makes Kyosuke feel quite annoyed. He hopes to at least know something about himself. Everyone is reminding him to be careful, which is definitely not aimless, but he doesn't know who the enemy is. This feeling makes Kyosuke feel trapped.
"What happened to my husband?"
Xiaoyu noticed that Kyosuke's face was becoming more and more ugly. She stroked Kyosuke's face with her hand and asked with concern.
So cold.
Kyosuke felt the touch of Xiaoyu's palm rubbing against his cheek, which relaxed his tense expression a little.
"It's okay. I just thought of something bad. Thank you for your concern."
"Mo~Really, my husband, please don't scare me."
Xiaoyu smiled and tried to take her hand back but Kyosuke stopped her, holding Xiaoyu's hand and letting her keep it on his face.
"Ms. sir?"
"It's so cool and comfortable. I'll keep it on for a while longer."
Kyosuke sat on the floor at the entrance, closed his eyes and felt the touch of Tamamonomae's palm.
"My husband still likes to act like a spoiled child as always."
Tamamono leaned on Kyosuke with a nostalgic look on her face, but because of the angle Kyosuke couldn't see Tamamono's expression.
Tama leaned over and kissed Kyosuke's forehead and said, "Don't worry, husband. Tama is here. Everything will be fine."
Kyousuke didn't answer but just nodded silently.
After the two of them were affectionate for a while, Kyosuke leaned on Xiaoyu's shoulder and said slowly: "Hey, Yu-chan. Let's go on a date."
"Hey? Why are you talking about this all of a sudden?"
Xiaoyu couldn't keep up with Kyosuke's thoughts. She didn't expect him to say this suddenly.
"Well, it suddenly occurred to me that we've never dated before. Given our current relationship, isn't it strange that we've never dated before?"
Kyosuke hugged Xiaoyu and let her lean on him. He sniffed Xiaoyu's pink hair and seemed to be thinking about something.
Xiaoyu drew circles on Kyosuke's chest with her fingers and pouted, "My husband is so nice to me all of a sudden. Did he do something to let Xiaoyu down? It doesn't matter. My husband can just confess to Xiaoyu. At most, Xiaoyu will beat my husband half to death and that will clear the matter up."
Who else dares to say such things now that you have said them?
Kyosuke resisted the urge to complain. If he said it aloud, it would ruin the warm atmosphere that he had worked so hard to create.
Although he had never done anything to let her down after knowing Xiaoyu, except for the cat-turning incident, and Xiaoyu knew about that. In fact, when Xiaoyu said that he was sorry to her, Kyosuke's first reaction was actually to Fumino, who had already broken up.
Although what happened between him and Fumino happened before he met Tama, for some reason Kyosuke always feels guilty when he thinks about what happened between him and Fumino when facing Tama.
You have to calm down, Kyosuke. Everyone has an ex-girlfriend. This kind of thing is very normal. You don't need to feel guilty. Just treat it with a normal heart and don't be afraid.
Kyosuke took a deep breath and pretended to be calm, then said softly to Xiaoyu: "Do you think I came back so late because I did something shameful? I just encountered some problems on the way. Or do you think it's abnormal for us to date?"
"That's not the case. It's not my husband's own fault. Since Xiaoyu came, my husband has never been so considerate."
Listening to Xiaoyu's resentful words, Kyosuke felt a chill down his spine. He quickly raised his hands in surrender and said, "Is it not okay if I was wrong?"
He thought back on his behavior after Xiaoyu came and found that he really accepted everything Xiaoyu gave him (such as cooking), and it seemed that he really did nothing for Xiaoyu. It seemed that he was really derelict in his duty.
"Humph, since you apologized so sincerely, I'll let you off this time."
"So where do you want to go?"
Seeing that he seemed to have coaxed the other party, Kyousuke began to make a date plan to distract her.
Xiaoyu thought for a moment and said, "Let's go to Akihabara."
Why where?
Kyosuke doesn't think Akihabara would be a good place for a date. If it were just a otaku, it would be fine, but Tamamonomae doesn't seem to fit the word otaku at all.
"Didn't my husband have fun playing with others in Akihabara before? I remember he was playing the feeding play in public. Why don't you plan to do it with Xiaoyu as well?"
Why did she know this?
Kyosuke's whole body stiffened in an instant. He had only played the feeding play with someone once in his life, and that was the time when he and Fumino were eating omelette rice in Akihabara. But why did Xiaoyu know about this?
"How does that saying go? Oh, that's right. If you don't want others to know, then don't do it." Tamamonomae touched Kyosuke's lips with her fingertips.
"It's getting late, husband, go to bed. You have a date tomorrow, don't be late."
After saying that, Xiaoyu stood up and walked up the stairs like a cat, leaving Kyosuke sitting alone in the entrance, in a daze.
We all sleep in the same room, there’s no way we’ll be late!
Kyosuke sat there for a long time before he finally realized what was happening.
PS: Well...it feels like writing the plot is more difficult than Mi-chan imagined, but Mi-chan will try her best.
Chapter 56 Dating ()
"Takoyaki?, Taiyaki?, Okonomiyaki?..."
This is Akihabara, not a temple fair. What do you mean by singing about food?
Kyosuke felt helpless when he saw Tama jumping in front of him. It was she who suggested coming to Akihabara, which made Kyosuke think that Tama had already made a date plan. But when they arrived in Akihabara, they didn't go to the otaku shops, nor did they go to the electronics town where ordinary people (non-otaku) usually go. And the scene that Kyosuke originally thought of couples walking hand in hand did not appear. When Tama arrived in Akihabara, she left Kyosuke behind and wandered around aimlessly, humming an unknown song (all about food).
"Hey, Xiaoyu. Where are you going?"
