I'm already wanted by the Ministry of Magic, so what's the harm in adding one more crime?
Even if the basilisk only obeys the commands of the Parseltongue, it would be nice to treat it as a bomb that does not distinguish between friend and foe.
Since I have been identified as a terrorist, it is only natural for me to have a dirty bomb for self-defense.
There must be other conditions required to cultivate a basilisk. Hagrid said that Slytherin had a basilisk, which was killed by Harry and his friends a few years ago? Maybe we can talk to Harry about it.
Although he had an idea in his mind, Hu Xiuwu was not in a hurry to implement it immediately. There was still a long time, and they would stay in Hogwarts for a long time, so there was no need to rush.
I continued to look for clues in the book, but unlike the Basilisk, whose origin is clear, the origin of the Thestrals is as confusing as that of the Dementors.
Some people believe that they were left in the world by the god of death. The author of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" simply repeatedly emphasized in the book that there is no evidence for this statement, but there is no clear refutation.
What does the god of death represent?
Hu Xiuwu flipped through the magic books around him, but none of them mentioned the god of death.
"grim Reaper?"
Madam Pince looked up at Hu Xiuwu who was standing in front of her. "You said you wanted to read a book about the god of death?"
"Yes, I want to learn more about what the so-called Grim Reaper is."
The Hogwarts library is quite large, with thousands of bookshelves spread out across the space. The aisles are like criss-crossing lines on a chessboard, and there are millions of books.
If he were to look for it on his own, he might not be able to find what he wants even after the Goblet of Fire was over, so it would be better to ask the locals directly.
"The glory of God always attracts young men who crave power."
Mrs. Pings was not surprised by Hu Xiuwu's idea, but she seemed to have misunderstood something and tried to persuade him:
"Don't believe in fairy tales. Isn't reality as beautiful as fairy tales?"
Hu Xiuwu felt that there was some misunderstanding between him and Mrs. Pingsi: "Fairy tale? What fairy tale?"
Madam Pince said in surprise, "Didn't you look for records of the Grim Reaper because you read about Dumbledore's deeds and the legend of the Deathly Hallows?"
Hu Xiuwu was even more surprised than her: "What is the Deathly Hallows?"
The two of them stared at each other, realizing that their ideas were misunderstood and divergent. In the end, it was Madam Pince who spoke first: "Then why are you looking for the records of the God of Death?"
Hu Xiuwu shook the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in his hand and said, "I read in the book that it said that the Thestrals were brought by the god of death, so I was a little curious."
This was the first time that Madam Pince had heard that someone wanted to learn about death because of magical creatures. When she stood up to help Hu Xiuwu find a book, she couldn't help but sigh:
"Orientals actually like magical creatures. No wonder they get along so well with Hufflepuffs."
Madam Pince had been a librarian at Hogwarts for many years. She knew the situation at the Hogwarts Library very well and found a book for Hu Xiuwu with ease.
"The Tales of Beedle the Bard?"
Hu Xiuwu read out the name of the book that Madam Pince handed to him.
Madam Pince said, "This is the only book in the library that records the whereabouts of the Grim Reaper. If it doesn't satisfy you, you can only ask the professor for a list and go to the restricted section to look."
"Let me finish reading it first. Thank you, ma'am."
Madam Pince nodded slightly and simply reminded: "The books are just stories, don't get too immersed in them."
After thanking Mrs. Pings, Hu Xiuwu began to read the collection of stories.
The deal between the God of Death and the three brothers, the three Deathly Hallows: the Elder Wand with infinite power, the Resurrection Stone that can bring the dead back to life, and the last one, the Invisibility Cloak that can hide from the sight of God.
After reading the entire story, Hu Xiuwu was certain that the god of death was definitely a metaphor for the snake god.
Infinite power and resurrection, these two extraordinary abilities gave Hu Xiuwu a sense of déjà vu that was too strong, making Hu Xiuwu involuntarily think of the first treasure he had seen in his life.
The Zhuochen Pearl is said to be the gall of the phoenix transformed from the Earth Mother, which can transform a person into a saint.
The so-called three brothers must have found a way to cross the barrier of time and space, used the invisibility cloak to hide from the eyes of the Snake God, and then coincidentally with Li Chunfeng, stole the power from His body.
It's so sad, the snake god with great power, who feeds on the world,
He was actually fleeced one after another, just like a tiger in the plains being bullied by a dog, or a god stranded being plotted against.
The story of the three brothers in The Tales of Beedle the Bard:
The gist of the story is that three brothers met the god of death, who told them each that they could ask him for one thing.
The eldest brother wanted the most powerful wand in the world, and the god of death gave him the Elder Wand. Later, the Elder Wand was stolen and his throat was cut by the thief.
The second brother wanted the ability to resurrect the dead, so the god of death gave him the resurrection stone. However, the resurrected lover was incompatible with him, so he committed suicide in despair.
The third brother asked for an invisible cloak that even the god of death could not find him, and lived out his old age in peace. Finally, he took off the invisible cloak and faced death with equanimity.
Chapter 244 Transformation
"Transfiguration is indeed magical. It is comparable to Teacher Zhang Huaiyi's Qi Body Origin Flow."
Hu Xiuwu commented during the Transfiguration class.
Hu Xiuwu was very satisfied after finding clues about the Deathly Hallows in the library, and he became very interested in the Transfiguration class in the afternoon.
This afternoon's Transfiguration class was attended by Gryffindor and Hufflepuff freshmen together. The teacher had not arrived yet, and only the students were laughing and playing in their seats. A cat was squatting proudly on the desk, watching everything coldly, and coldly refused the students' attempts to feed and tease it.
Hu Xiuwu was a young man in his twenties, tall and strong. Sitting among a group of first-year students under the age of twelve, he was particularly conspicuous. Even though he sat at the back of the class, many students noticed him, and some even talked about him in a low voice and made fun of him.
But faced with this predicament, Hu Xiuwu did not shy away and showed no shame. Although his mind had not yet been cultivated to the level of being able to focus on one thing, these little sneers were nothing more than a passing breeze to him.
The tabby cat squatting on the desk kept nodding after seeing this scene, just like a human, and was very satisfied with Hu Xiuwu's attitude.
Then, she gracefully jumped off the desk and smoothly transformed into a strict professor in the air. It was Professor McGonagall.
The noisy conversations around them suddenly quieted down, and the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff freshmen nearby were all shocked.
Professor McGonagall first scolded the few mischievous kids she had caught, and then asked them to apologize for making fun of Hu Xiuwu.
Every year, in the first Transfiguration class for new students, Professor McGonagall would perform advanced Transfiguration for the students. This was to let the students know the wonders of magic, arouse their interest, and also to establish the teacher's authority.
This time, not only the freshmen from various colleges were shocked, but also Hu Xiuwu.
He watched Professor McGonagall transform from an ordinary, living cat back into a human form. This was not an illusion, but she really turned into another species.
Even he himself didn't see any flaws.
He just thought it was a clever cat with too much vitality, a sign of awakening. It was not until Professor McGonagall lifted the spell herself that he suddenly realized that it was actually transformed by Professor McGonagall. It was not just a simple transformation, but even its fate had disappeared.
At that moment, Professor McGonagall was just an ordinary cat, no longer the Transfiguration professor at Hogwarts, Ms. Minerva McGonagall.
Don’t look at it, Hu Xiuwu is different from those ignorant and green freshmen. He has superb skills and is knowledgeable, so he is more aware of the difficulties involved.
The effect of this spell immediately reminded Hu Xiuwu of the introduction of the Great Heavenly Immortal Art taught by Patriarch Bodhi to Sun Wukong. It can grant immortality but cannot avoid the three disasters, so he needs to learn seventy-two transformations to avoid the three disasters.
This spell, called Animagus, only has one animal form and is not as versatile as the seventy-two transformations, but its effect of escaping the cage of fate is similar to the seventy-two transformations.
Simply put, Professor, I want to learn this!
After a brief introduction, Professor McGonagall started talking about Transfiguration from the beginning. Her explanation was simple and witty, and she almost dissected Transfiguration and chopped it into small pieces to feed Hu Xiuwu.
Although Professor McGonagall's lecture was very interesting, there was so much dry stuff that the other young wizards felt dizzy and could not keep up with the progress at all.
Many young Gryffindor wizards had given up thinking and started fiddling with their quills, and the Hufflepuff students were yawning as well.
With many years of teaching experience, Professor McGonagall certainly knew the limits of first-year students' ability to accept new knowledge, so after explaining to Hu Xiuwu, she deliberately slowed down her pace.
Speed, take care of the learning progress of other little wizards.
While Professor McGonagall was re-explaining to the other young wizards, Hu Xiuwu fell into deep thought.
He could tell that the Transfiguration that Professor McGonagall had just explained was very different from the Transfiguration she was explaining now. The one just now was more complicated and closer to the essence of Transfiguration.
According to Professor McGonagall, Transfiguration, in the final analysis, is to interfere with reality with will, to pry the laws of physics with magic, to make fire in the air and make wood and stone walk.
In fact, this is somewhat similar to the origin of Qi body of Master Zhang Huaiyi. Although Zhang Huaiyi did not teach Hu Xiuwu the origin of Qi body, the seal left in Hu Xiuwu's body by Zhang Huaiyi's method of using the origin of Qi body has existed for two years. Naturally, he also experienced some of the mysteries from it.
Teacher Zhang Huaiyi's Qi body source and flow is to work hard on Qi, following the principle of one Qi evolving into thousands of Qis, which is invisible and formless, yet encompasses everything; and the transformation technique is to evolve all things with one thought.
Although the two have different representations, they both ultimately take the approach of simplifying the complex.
By the time Professor McGonagall had finished, her mouth was dry and she was much more exhausted than her previous first classes. After taking a breath, she swung her wand.
The paper box on the podium was like a stream of air being forced out of its belly, and it was opened from the inside out. Several matches flew out of it and flew in front of everyone like a hummingbird.
Professor McGonagall crossed her arms and held her wand like a whisk:
"In the remaining time, your task is to turn this match into a silver needle."
“The more sophisticated it becomes, the higher the score will be.”
Unlike Hu Xiuwu, other Hogwarts freshmen have magic circuits in their bodies, so Professor McGonagall does not need to explain it in as much detail as she did for Hu Xiuwu. She only needs to explain the key points clearly and let the students try it themselves to stimulate the magic circuits in their bodies. Then the body's instinct will lead them to learn Transfiguration.
Just like elks are born to run and frogs are born to jump, there is also a strange phenomenon in the Western alien world. The year they graduate from Hogwarts is the year they are most knowledgeable and have the most skills. After they graduate, it is inevitable that some less commonly used spells will be abandoned.
What followed was the shrinkage of magic circuits. These seldom-used magics became more difficult to use. As the saying goes, use it or lose it. If you want to pick it up again, you have to spend a lot of time practicing again.
When the freshmen heard that the boring theory was finally over and they could use their wands, they became excited. The quills were no longer fun and they stopped dozing off. All the little wizards couldn't wait to take out their wands, pointed them at the matches on the table, and were ready to cast spells with confidence.
But unfortunately no one succeeded at once.
The person who came closest only made one end of the match sharper, and turned it into a sharp match. Even so, Professor McGonagall still commented that he had made good progress.
After discovering that this was more difficult than they had imagined, many young wizards began to get impatient, or started waving their wands impatiently, as if the greater the force they used, the greater the chance of success. As a result, they used too much force and caused the match to explode.
Some people put the magic wand against the match, thinking that the closer the wand was, the better the effect would be. However, they didn't see how good the effect was, but they managed to light the match.
Professor McGonagall saw all of this. She treated all students equally, regardless of which college they came from. She would deduct points if they made serious mistakes, and would teach them where they went wrong afterwards.
Only Hu Xiuwu stared at the match without moving. He had no magic circuit, so he needed to start from scratch and allow his own will to interfere with the world. In layman's terms, he had to open up the mysterious orifices of heaven and earth.
This is the Brahma Wheel mentioned in Tantric Buddhism and the Xuanguan Acupoint mentioned in Taoism.
Dongfang wants to open the mysterious gate not to interfere with reality, but to communicate with heaven and earth, that is, to pursue the true unity of man and nature and experience the mysteries of the way of heaven.
However, the method of opening the mysterious gate has always been dangerous. It is equivalent to opening a hole in the physical body, which is a treasure ship for crossing the world. The soul can touch the sea of suffering through this hole, causing waves, but it will also inevitably put the treasure ship in danger of capsizing.
But the universe is so vast, and the principles of heaven are so profound. Once you get lost in them, you will become a wise man who is diligent in seeking others, or a cruel and ruthless person, like an eagle or dog chasing a rabbit.
Being transformed by the Way of Heaven, the soul merges into the Way of Heaven, like a person on a boat falling into the deep sea, leaving only an empty shell.
But most of the extraordinary people are seeking transcendence and the opportunity to make further progress, and it is difficult for them to resist the temptation to see the true face of the Heavenly Dao. Only some Taoist immortals and great monks can resist this temptation, but most of them are already senior masters and have their own lifelong beliefs in their hearts, and most of them do not need to open the mysterious gate.
Those who can safely open the mysterious gate don't care, while those who are interested in trying it risk their lives. It is like the "Shenzu Sutra" requires people to understand the self and others, and not have the thought of practicing martial arts in their hearts.
Therefore, this method has become a useless spell, and few people are willing to try it.
However, it is very different in Hogwarts. The purpose of opening the Mysterious Gate is not to be one with the heaven and earth, but to practice magic. Therefore, when opening the Mysterious Gate, the practitioner can be placed in a place isolated from the inside and the outside.
