Chapter 174: Past, Present, and Future; Killing Three Corpses to Become a Saint; Ziwei Alliance
Chapter 174: Past, Present, and Future; Killing the Three Corpses to Become a Saint; Ziwei Alliance
Among the Three Pure Ones, Yuanshi represents the beginning of creation, the past, and the beginning of everything. It exists at the most ancient source and is endless and eternal.
Morality is the present and is the foundation of the world’s existence. It has no beginning and no end and exists forever without boundaries.
Lingbao is the future, it is impossible, it is infinite, it is forever moving forward.
The so-called endless eternity, boundless eternity, and infinite eternity symbolize the three stages of eternal time and space:
The past is forever!
Now forever!
The future is forever!
In Taoist classics, all things develop from their creation to their reproduction and prosperity and then to their decline and destruction. This is a cycle from nothing to something and then from something to nothing again.
Mu Wushuang had no idea whether the future was a destined end or infinite tributaries and possibilities.
In other words, for him who is only at the stage of Zhan Dao now, these things are still too early and he cannot see through them.
He planned to use the blood of the Immortal King of the Chaos Green Lotus as the ancestral qi, and Xuan, Yuan, and Shi as the true meaning, to condense the form of the Three Pure Ones, and then combine it with the time branch he traced back to the fall of the Great Emperor Wu Shi, condense the concepts of the past, present, and future, and evolve the mythical Three Pure Ones as the three talents of the inner world, which is also the basis for his sainthood.
Of course, this is a huge project that will require him to spend his entire life pursuing it. Now all he needs to do is to make a start and then do it step by step in a down-to-earth manner.
Mu Wushuang stepped into the deepest part of Taiqing Holy Land. Purple air was swirling, clouds and mist were rising, and ancient palaces were standing tall. Although they were not magnificent, they had the power to overwhelm the heaven and earth.
When he got closer, Mu Wushuang felt a power that was extremely sacred, great, far-reaching, and profound.
This purple palace is engraved with scriptures.
“The Tao that can be spoken of is not the eternal Tao; the name that can be named is not the eternal name. The nameless is the beginning of heaven and earth; the named is the mother of all things.”
This is an inscription from the other side of the starry sky, engraved on the purple palace, it is very mysterious and profound.
The purple mist was thick, wisp after wisp, like an incense burner for enshrining gods.
Mu Wushuang stopped here for a moment and looked at the ancient characters engraved on the palace. This was the upper part of the Tao Te Ching, which was circulated in the world and was for mortals to read.
The lower part is the ancient quasi-emperor scripture that describes the method of cultivation.
After glancing at the first volume of Tao Te Ching, Mu Wushuang drew the light of the stars from all over the sky and used the endless power of the stars to tear open the formation patterns around the Bajing Palace.
With purple mist rising and rosy clouds lingering, the Bajing Palace became more and more sacred and solemn, making people want to worship it.
Mu Wushuang's aura was ethereal, as if he was not in this world. He was not affected by the mysterious quasi-emperor situation at all and walked straight in.
As soon as you enter, you will feel a mist surrounding your body, as if you are bathing in fairy air, and you will feel relaxed all over.
This is a treasure palace, a supreme pure land for cultivation. The speed of cultivation here is several times faster than that in the outside world.
"This place is very suitable for retreat."
Mu Wushuang, who was born with a natural affinity for the Tao, could feel the natural quasi-imperial aura that permeated the heaven and earth at every moment.
The Purple Palace was somewhat empty. Although it had gorgeous decorations, it was also not cluttered. It was very simple and plain, which was in line with Lao Tzu's state of mind of tranquility and inaction.
Looking around, there was only a purple alchemy furnace and a stone platform.
Mu Wushuang stepped over to the purple alchemy furnace. More than two thousand years had passed, but the furnace was still filled with purple mist, with flames surging and mist rising. It seemed that there was a furnace of precious elixirs still being refined and had not yet been opened.
As the God and Demon's Eyes opened and closed, Mu Wushuang saw the principles and truths intertwined inside the alchemy furnace.
This is a precious weapon that interweaves Tao and Principle. The medicinal power of the pills made from it will be greatly enhanced, as if it were divinely assisted.
Putting away the alchemy furnace, Mu Wushuang walked slowly deeper into the cave. What came into view was a stone bookcase, which contained numerous scriptures. They included many precious methods of making elixirs, Lao Tzu's experiences and observations along the way, local customs, insights into formations, and even the second half of the Tao Te Ching.
In addition, on the ground next to the stone bookcase, in an inconspicuous corner, there is a pottery jar, which is full of dust. If you don’t look carefully, you can’t notice it at all.
Mu Wushuang understood in his heart that this was a pottery jar that contained the combat power of Laozi's mount, the Green Bull, for one hour. It was a life-saving means left by Laozi to prevent the successor from dying young.
On the pottery jar, there is an ancient character from the Pre-Qin period engraved, which is the word "封".
Mu Wushuang put it away. This pottery jar was of no use to him, but he was very interested in the ancient starry road that Laozi had walked. Perhaps he could get some important information from the incarnation of the old cow in the pottery jar.
Behind the pottery jar, there are several silver glittering treasure rings.
Thousands of years have passed, and they are still shiny, like a moon ring, shining brightly, and time cannot conceal their brilliance.
This is the famous divine weapon, the Vajra Cutter, in ancient Celestial legends.
The three treasures with divine light shining on them are respectively a leader-level weapon, a great king-level divine weapon, and a holy weapon handed down from generation to generation, all of which are extremely precious.
After putting away the treasure, Mu Wushuang returned his gaze to the stone bookcase.
He took out a thick stone book. On the surface of the cover, three ancient characters were engraved - "Tao Te Ching".
When Mu Wushuang gazed at these three ancient characters, a picture suddenly appeared in his mind, traveling through time and space and coming to him.
An old man rides a cow westward, with purple air spreading for 30,000 miles. He passes through a place called Hangu Pass and travels far into the starry sky. Then the picture gradually becomes blurred and condenses into a scripture.
Mu Wushuang's eyes were blazing, and deep in his pupils, there was a scene of chaos beginning to emerge and gods and demons being born. This was the outward manifestation of the opening of the gods and demons' heavenly eyes, and it was quite astonishing.
Opening the stone scripture, lines of ancient characters from the Pre-Qin period full of Taoist charm appeared before Mu Wushuang.
It was as if the door to all wonders was opened, and the endless divine sound of the great way resounded throughout the entire Zique, making people involuntarily immersed in it, unable to extricate themselves.
The text tells about Laozi's ideas on the way of cultivation, the texts of cultivation, and even the methods of health preservation, which are very mysterious and wonderful. Although the "Tao Te Ching" is divided into two parts, the upper part is widely circulated, while the lower part recording the methods of cultivation is little known.
But in fact, it is just the opposite. What is truly precious is the widely circulated upper part.
What is recorded there is a perspective, a perspective from which the former Heavenly Lord and today's Quasi-Emperor views the essence of the world.
It is Lao Tzu's understanding of all things in nature and the great way of heaven and earth.
The lower part of the Tao Te Ching may be more meaningful to the world, because Lao Tzu's realm is too high, and ordinary people cannot understand the true meaning of Tao hidden in the upper part.
Perhaps for a strong man like Laozi, only those who can truly understand the upper part are his true successors.
For people like Laozi, physique and qualifications are all empty talk. The successor he really wants is someone who can truly understand and recognize his own path.
However, perhaps I also know that this is an extremely difficult task, so I deliberately lowered the requirements.
Slowly turning the stone scriptures, Mu Wushuang saw the part of the supreme secret technique recorded in the lower part of the "Tao Te Ching".
This section records the complete terrifying secret techniques such as One Qi Transformation into Three Pure Ones and Taiqing One Qi Hunyuan Slash.
At this moment, Mu Wushuang seemed to be immersed in a mysterious state of enlightenment, and based on Laozi's inheritance, he was reversely deducing a supreme secret technique.
His body was wrapped in dense scriptures, and endless symbols appeared and jumped in the eyes of gods and demons, with light mist surging and lightning lingering.
Trace back to the source and find the origin.
This secret technique was extremely terrifying. Even though Mu Wushuang himself possessed astonishing wisdom and had reached the eighth level of the Way of Slashing, he could only glimpse a little of it.
After a whole day and night, the shocking phenomenon on Mu Wushuang's body slowly subsided.
He opened his eyes, and two rays of divine light burst out, captivating people.
Mu Wushuang succeeded. Based on Laozi's inheritance, he preliminarily deduced version 1.0 of his own method of beheading the three corpses to become a saint.
In the ancient legends, beheading the three corpses refers to beheading the three corpses of good, evil, and obsession. The core idea is to make oneself closer to the way of heaven, not to move for good, not to move for evil, not to move for obsession, not to think or have thoughts, and to be absolutely fair and just.
However, this does not conform to Mu Wushuang's practice philosophy.
Of course, beheading the three corpses is not as simple as beheading one's good thoughts, evil thoughts, and obsessions.
You must know that a person's good thoughts, evil thoughts, and obsessions are never quantitative, but dynamically changing, so the three corpses are related concepts.
Be aware of your own good thoughts, evil thoughts and obsessions, and use these as the core to cut out related concepts so that you are no longer affected by them. This is the key to the method of beheading the three corpses.
Therefore, Mu Wushuang's method of becoming a saint by beheading the three corpses is simply to use this magical power of beheading concepts, to behead the Three Pure Ones, and to condense the related concepts of the past, present, and future.
Although he had never seen the method of beheading the three corpses, this did not prevent him from using tricks to achieve his goal.
Of course, the concept of beheading is still too far-fetched for Mu Wushuang, who is just a small cultivator of the Dao of Beheading. It is not something that a small cultivator like him should consider.
Mu Wushuang has always been a pragmatist. His inability to understand shows that his realm, vision, level and status are not high enough.
But these do not affect Mu Wushuang's enjoyment of the results first.
As for what happens next, I believe that when he stands in a higher position, there will be more ways to solve the problems.
And now the most important thing for him is to kill the three corpses and become a saint.
However, before that, he still needs to complete an important step before he can become a saint by killing the three corpses, which is -
Mu Wushuang continued walking in the Bajing Palace, his eyes falling on the scriptures that described the local customs, formations, or alchemy that Laozi had seen and heard along the way. He read them with great interest.
Another quarter of an hour later, Mu Wushuang had finished reading all the scriptures.
At this moment, he had inherited all of Laozi's teachings in disguise, including the ancient scriptures, secret techniques, and treasures. None of them were left behind.
Moreover, on the last page of the lower part of Tao Te Ching, he also obtained an extremely precious map of the starry sky.
A thin purple line connects the stars and leads to the depths of the universe.
This should be the route map for Laozi’s journey to the west. Mu Wushuang had no plans to study it carefully for the time being, so he put it away first.
Afterwards, Mu Wushuang made tea, took out piles of spiritual objects, and used his own source technique that almost surpassed that of Master Yuan Tianshi to transform this place into a cave for cultivation.
In an instant, the divine energy surged inside the purple palace, and the essence of heaven and earth became so rich that it gathered into a small stream, mixed with purple mist, and filled the air with the divine charm of the great way of all things in nature.
This is simply one of the world's top holy places for cultivation, with spiritual light dancing and sacredness rising into the sky. It is hard for a cultivator to not become stronger while sitting in it.
After doing all this, Mu Wushuang drank the brewed tea in one gulp, then closed his eyes slightly and began a deeper level of enlightenment and practice.
As the Divine Court fell silent, the entire Ziwei Star Region felt as if a storm was about to come. An unprecedented undercurrent swept across the four continents and even spread to the vast North Sea.
First, a number of major forces including the Jinwu Clan, Taiyin Sect, Sea God Island, and Heavenly Demon Alliance announced the establishment of the Ziwei Alliance. All the forces that joined would advance and retreat together.
Later, it was revealed that the extinct Mingling Changsheng Temple was rebuilt, and the temple master, along with two saint-level figures, announced in a high-profile manner that he would join the Tongmenghui.
After that, joining the Tongmenghui seemed to have become a trend, with new forces joining the Tongmenghui and becoming one of its members every day.
To date, this organization has almost encompassed more than 60% of the major forces in the Ziwei Star Domain, and only a few forces are still waiting and watching.
