Chapter 123 Christmas Morning

On the morning of Christmas the next day, it was not so much that Della woke up early, but rather that she had slept poorly the night before.

She had a rare dream, in which she became Della, unable to move in the moonlight, and her so-called boring life was completely replaced.

"Huh..." Della woke up with her hand on her forehead and sat up. She looked up at the clock hanging in the dormitory and found that it was only six o'clock. However, her Christmas presents were already piled up under the hanging Christmas socks. Oh, that knitted sock full of Christmas trees was a gift that Quasi gave her in advance.

As Della got up, Maggie also woke up and followed Della to the end of the bed to look at the Christmas presents.

Della gave out about thirty Christmas gifts this year, but there are at least forty gifts piled up here. This was within her expectations, and she would conduct targeted social activities later.

Dumbledore gave her a pocket watch, Snape picked out a new cauldron for her, Ron and Hagrid both gave her a large bar of chocolate, Harry's was a novel about the Wizarding War, and Hermione got... a poster of Lockhart.

After unfolding the poster, Della and Maggie looked at Lockhart, who kept showing his charming smile on the poster, and felt a little overwhelmed. After a brief moment of stunned silence, Della quickly rolled up the poster and decided to stuff this dynamic piece of garbage into the innermost part of the cabinet.

"It must be because I performed too well in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class that made Hermione think that I was also a fan of Lockhart." Della put the rolled-up poster aside with amusement and helplessness, and continued to open the gifts.

Senior Ellian gave her an exquisite brooch, George and Fred gave her a very dreamy blue butterfly specimen, and Mrs. Weasley knitted her a sweater and a large piece of raisin cake.

Draco also gave her a piece of clothing, a dress with a medieval feel. It looked very much like what the wizards in Diagon Alley wore, but it was much more particular and the style was also nice. Della decided to wear this when she went out today.

Most of the remaining gifts were from Slytherin. Every time Della opened a gift, she would recall the communication she had with the gift giver. As she opened and evaluated the gifts, her expression gradually became serious.

Hmm? Did this senior send one too?

When opening the last gift of a suitable size, Della was a little surprised to see the name 'Trev Ewing' on it. She had only spoken a few words to this senior, and he was not from Arlian's group.

Inside was a very classic green plaid jacket, a classic in the Muggle world, which surprised Della even more. She touched the delicate cashmere material and pinched the tag.

It's not a big brand that Della knows, but according to the prices in the Muggle world, the price of this dress is not cheap, and the material and workmanship are very good.

Senior Ewing, if I remember correctly, is a pure-blood, maybe his father or above has Muggle ancestry.

Because it was obvious at a glance that the dress was chosen with great care, Della did not think that the senior was humiliating her. To be honest, this gift was quite what she wanted, as she had always liked clothes of various styles from the Muggle world.

"Hi-sisa (Do you like this dress)?" Maggie, who was clinging to Della's shoulders, hung in front of her.

"Senior Ewing is very bold, but I really like this gift." Della stood up while shaking her clothes. She walked to the mirror and gestured twice, then nodded with satisfaction. "It's a pity that I can only wear it during this holiday."

She wasn't so unique as to wear Muggle clothes in Slytherin.

Della gestured twice more before hanging up the dress. She put Maggie back on the bed, picked up the dress that Draco had given her, waved her wand to cast a cleaning spell, and then carried the dress into the bathroom to change.

Before going in, she suddenly turned around and smiled at Maggie, "Merry Christmas, Maggie."

"Xisa-ya (Merry Christmas, Della)" Maggie replied as usual. After watching Della go into the bathroom, he slowly lay back on the bed.

Maggie had no concept of holidays, but Della tried to give Maggie a piece of raw steak as a Christmas gift when she was a child. But think about it, how could a small child with limited abilities get such a good piece of meat from the usually stingy store owner?

Yes, stealing.

Maggie, who suddenly understood the situation, didn't feel anything. Obviously, he was not a person with a normal sense of shame. He himself would not even define this behavior as theft. He would only think that it was a casual taking. Similarly, he didn't think there was anything wrong with Della at first.

But on second thought, even though she has gained an almost subversive perspective, Maggie still hopes that her children can be more dignified like her.

So Maggie, despite her true feelings and thinking about Della's appearance, gave the then ignorant Della her first positive education outside of survival.

He said at the time, "Stealing is not a good behavior. When giving gifts, it is enough as long as the thought is there. And between us, just a blessing is enough." This later became their little Christmas habit.

I have to say that Della's politeness is largely due to Maggie, or rather, to "her" in Maggie's heart.

Della came out of the bathroom at this time. She adjusted the collar of her clothes and showed Maggie the thick but not bulky black dress Draco gave her. "How is it? Does it look good?"

Maggie looked at Della's black hair jumping because of her movements, and was a little dazed. He didn't know if it was because he began to recall the past, so he rarely saw her shadow in Della.

They are just like ordinary girls. They like new clothes and like to pose deliberately to ask for opinions. Even if they know there can only be one answer, they will still ask.

Maggie didn't hate that and was generally quite cooperative with the behavior.

He swam around Della twice in a serious manner, as if he was evaluating the skirt that made Della look taller. After swimming twice, he moved away and tapped the snake twice in a pretentious manner before commenting slowly:

"Hai Xi Ya Si (very beautiful, he will be stunned)."

Hearing this, Della's smile froze for a second, then the corners of her mouth widened further, she covered her mouth and laughed, she said to Maggie, "You really are."

If Draco could see Della in such a coquettish manner, he would be stunned no matter what clothes Della wore.

However, Della, wearing the clothes he carefully selected, was already stunning enough to him. Anyway, when Draco first saw Della today, he was stunned for two or three seconds before he went up to talk to her.

"Merry Christmas, Della," he said first, and then he blushed and pulled Della's sleeve to look at her twice, saying, "I know you will look great in it."

Hearing his praise, Della's face turned slightly red, but she still calmly reached out to help Draco adjust the silver-green striped scarf around his neck. "Merry Christmas, Draco, is this scarf still warm?"

With such an intimate action, the atmosphere between them became more ambiguous, which made Draco smile foolishly twice. He loosened Della's sleeve and held the small place at the end of the scarf where his name was knitted. "You knitted very well!" he said.

Seeing Draco's shy and pretentious look, Della smiled silently. She took the boy's hand and led him outside. "Let's go have breakfast, Draco. There should be a lot of delicious food today."

"Yeah!" Draco responded. He turned around and gave Crabbe and Goyle, who were waiting on the side, a look that said "stay away", and followed Della to the auditorium in a good mood.
