Chapter 147: Filming Begins
Chapter 147: Filming Begins
The signing of contracts for several main actors of the movie "Wushuang" means that Wang Hao and his team's trip to Hong Kong was a complete success.
After this, Wang Hao and his group will go their separate ways.
After Li Kui and Wang Hao completed the location scouting work in Hong Kong, they needed to fly to Vancouver, Canada with an assistant to complete the location scouting work abroad.
As for the others, they can return to Shangjing to complete the final preparations and prepare for the filming of the movie.
On the day of returning to Shangjing, Huo Wenxi came to see Wang Hao off and talked to him about another matter.
"Zhuang Wenqiang has agreed to serve as the executive director of "Wushuang"."
Wang Hao was not surprised by the news.
Wong Jing, born in 1968, is one of the most popular screenwriters in Hong Kong today, because the movie "Infernal Affairs", which was said to be the rise of Hong Kong films a few years ago, was written by him.
He also won the Best Screenplay Award at the 22nd Hong Kong Film Awards for this film.
At the same time, he is also the original director and screenwriter of the movie "Wushuang". However, no matter how famous he is now, he is just a screenwriter and has no opportunity to direct a movie.
So when given the opportunity to make the transition from screenwriter to director, there was certainly no reason for Zhuang Wenqiang to refuse.
"That's really good news." Wang Hao looked at the time and found that there was still some time before boarding, so he smiled and asked Huo Wenxi: "In that case, how have you considered the suggestions that Sister Wenxi and I made last time?"
Huo Wenxi shook his head helplessly and smiled bitterly: "You! You! You are so young and you are already provoking me, your elder sister."
"I'm not trying to provoke Sister Wenxi," Wang Hao chuckled, "It's just that I'm not familiar with Hong Kong and foreign countries, and most of the company's employees are from Beijing. I really need someone with outstanding ability and experience to help me coordinate the crew."
"I have already mentioned your suggestion to Mr. Yang," Huo Wenxi could only say, "Mr. Yang didn't blame you for poaching people, and said he respected my opinion."
"Then what do you think, Sister Wenxi?" Wang Hao asked.
Huo Wenxi smiled slightly, and a look of ambition appeared in his beautiful eyes.
“I joined Eagle King as an agent when I was 21 years old. I have been in this industry for more than ten years. It is true that I am eager to make a move.
Since you dare to give me this kind of burden, I have nothing to say. You should go back to Beijing first, and I will take care of the rest of the work in Hong Kong."
Wang Hao smiled slightly and was very happy that Huo Wenxi got into work mode so quickly.
At least with the addition of Zhuang Wenqiang and Huo Wenxi to his "Wushuang" crew, there will be no major problems in filming in Hong Kong and overseas.
So after returning to Beijing, he checked the preliminary preparations and found that everything was normal. He then once again found Mr. Wang of Huayi and Mr. Han of Huaying to report the results of this trip to Hong Kong. He also discussed with them the start date of filming the movie.
Time quickly came to March 3. On that day, all the members of the crew arrived in Hong Kong. After holding an ordinary small press conference in the conference room of the Peninsula Hotel, the Sino-US co-production film "Wushuang" was hastily started shooting.
During the time in Hong Kong, they mainly filmed the scene where the counterfeit money team in Wushuang was making counterfeit money, which was also the most difficult and important scene in the movie.
This part of the content was filmed inside the former Yuen Long Water Treatment Works, which is located on a mountain near Fuk Hang Village, Tuen Mun, Hong Kong. It is an abandoned factory building.
Wang Hao and others rented it as the base for the counterfeit money making gang in the movie.
It was here that Li Wen (played by Aaron Kwok) assisted William (played by Liam Neeson) in making perfect counterfeit money, and it was also here that Uncle Wu, played by Liao Qizhi, was shot dead by William. Because some of the equipment and props related to counterfeit money were still being produced, the first scene they shot was the rivalry between Aaron Kwok, who played Li Wen, and Liao Qizhi, who played Wu Xin.
In this plot, the counterfeit money gang successfully produced the circuit board, and in the process of checking the test-printed banknotes, through the conversation between the two of them, the identity background of the "painter" William was also explained.
"There is no moiré, and all the details are printed very finely. I'll try printing a few more times later to see if the circuit board will be scratched."
It has to be said that Liao Qizhi is worthy of being one of the gold medal supporting actors in the Hong Kong film industry. Just by checking the counterfeit money, he showed the image of a cautious team veteran.
The acting skills of Aaron Kwok who was standing behind him were equally good. After turning his head to watch William leave, he, who was playing the role of Li Wen, shouted.
"Uncle Xin."
"Hmm?" Liao Qizhi turned around with a magnifying glass and showed his face in the camera.
"How long have you been with 'The Painter'?"
"That's a long time."
Liao Qizhi chuckled and turned his head again. The camera followed his face and moved sideways for a distance, framing both him and Li Wen.
"I used to work with his father, but later his father passed away and passed the business to him, so I continued to help him."
Guo Fucheng looked up again, then moved to Liao Qizhi's side and asked tentatively in a low voice:
"He told me that three generations have been doing this business and no one has ever been caught. Is that true?"
Liao Qizhi glanced at him sideways, then looked up at William, nodded, and then said to Guo Fucheng:
"They are very abiding by the rules and will never spend money on their own products. The customers are also very tight-lipped. It's as if we don't exist."
"Didn't your family ask you?" Guo Fucheng asked curiously.
"How do you know I have a family?" Liao Qizhi's tone changed instantly when he said this.
Guo Fucheng lowered his voice a little more, "I heard you call the day before yesterday. I heard it."
Liao Qizhi looked up at him, chuckled, and walked in front of Guo Fucheng.
"Hey, according to the rules of the industry, each of us should take care of our own business. If you meddle in other people's business, I'll chop off your hand!"
"Cut! Very good, Uncle Liao's last part really scared me. This part is over. Let's take a break and then save another one."
Wang Hao, who was sitting in front of the monitor, shouted at the right time, and applause broke out at the scene.
Regarding this section, unlike the original version, Wang Hao deliberately designed it as a long shot to enhance the realism of the counterfeit money gang's work process. This places extremely high demands on the actors. Not only must the movements not be wrong, but the lines, emotions and actions must also correspond.
Fortunately, both Liao Qizhi and Aaron Kwok’s acting skills were pretty good, and they finally made a good start for the movie “Wushuang”, which was passed in just one take.
