Chapter 159: Long-distance Relationship in Danger

The year Draco entered Slytherin, Della Riddle, a girl from an orphanage, also entered Slytherin.

Draco was initially quite dismissive of this girl from the Muggle world and of unknown ancestry, but the more they got along, the more he was attracted to Della's calm and playful temperament, and they naturally became ambiguous.

There is no doubt that Della is smart and excellent. She always gets extra points and was even adopted by their Dean Snape in her second year.

In their second year, when Draco and Della's relationship was gradually warming up, someone launched an attack against Muggles in the name of 'Slytherin's Heir'.

If his Della was not of unknown descent from a Muggle orphanage, Draco might have applauded for it, but he was more worried that something might happen to Della, so he followed her almost inseparable during that time, wanting to protect her with his pure blood.

But Della, whom he was so worried about, turned out to be a Parseltongue, a descendant of Slytherin, and might even be the daughter of the Dark Lord!

When I was so worried about her, she never told me anything!

Della's concealment has obviously gone beyond the realm of secrets. She is betraying their close relationship!

Draco was very angry about this. He was not at all happy about being in love with the Dark Lord's daughter. His heart was filled with strong dissatisfaction and a sense of betrayal.

Why, why didn't she tell him anything? Was he unqualified? Did Della look down on him?

Or was he, the son of a Death Eater, just an insignificant plaything to the Dark Lord's daughter?

But now he didn't even have the chance to argue with Della about this. A crazy interrogator forced a public trial on Della in the absence of sufficient evidence. During the trial, he only focused on the fact that Della was suspected to be the daughter of the Dark Lord. He failed to convict her and cursed Della, preventing her from having any contact with people or things from the wizarding world of Country Y.

This means that Della cannot return to Hogwarts to study in the short term, and Draco cannot deliver the letter from himself, a wizard from Country Y, to her.

In order to compensate Della for the damage she suffered within the program, the Ministry of Magic is going to send her to study abroad, and she can only come back after the curse is lifted. The connection between them is completely cut off again.

Draco was still aggrieved, angry, and self-doubting, but he couldn't accept the fact that he had completely lost Della...

"Oh, what should I do?" Draco lay on the bed, his usually combed back blond hair scattered casually, weakening his usual sharpness. He stared at the bracelet with a red rope and a silver snake bite that Della gave him on his wrist. His gray-blue eyes were sad and hazy. Finally, he sighed again and buried his red little face completely in the soft bed like an ostrich.

"Little master, it's time for dinner." Just after he was buried for a while, the new house-elf called him tremblingly outside the door.

"Get out of here!" Draco shouted impatiently, and the elf outside the door immediately shouted sorry and ran away. Knowing that it was his parents who called him over, Draco could only pout and get up from the bed, scratch his hair casually and walk towards the restaurant.

Lucius and Narcissa had already taken their seats. They sat upright, staring at their decadent youngest son who sat down with an obvious absent-minded look, then picked up the bread and stuffed it into his mouth.

"Draco," Lucius frowned, and the nobleness on his face was replaced by seriousness in a second, "correct your etiquette."

"Got it, Dad." Even after being reminded by his most feared father, Draco still couldn't get back to his original state. He responded absentmindedly and chewed the bread carefully.

"Oh... poor little dragon." Unlike Lucius's impatience, Narcissa looked at Draco with great pity.

Narcissa's pitying tone completely aroused the sadness in Draco's heart. He looked at his mother, pouted his lips, and tears welled up in his eyes. "She never told me anything before, she didn't even tell me that she was a Parseltongue!"

"Oh..." Narcissa took Draco into her arms and comforted him softly, but Lucius looked down on the way Draco was trapped in love.

"This is your fault, Draco. You must not have shown enough of your qualities in front of her," Lucius was very dissatisfied with missing the opportunity to meet the Dark Lord's daughter in advance. "What do you usually do in school?"

"Lucius!" Narcissa interrupted her husband disapprovingly.

Lucius glanced at Draco, raised his head slightly, took a deep breath, and stopped talking. However, Draco shouted at this time: "She accepted my confession on Valentine's Day! We are already a couple! Then she shouldn't have hidden it from me!"

Even when he was most worried about Della being attacked by the heir, he would say that she was a Parseltongue...

Draco buried his head in his mother's warm arms and cried, but Lucius focused on the first half of his sentence. "Are you sure you are already a couple, Draco?"

"Are you still thinking about these, Lucius?" Narcissa was very dissatisfied with Lucius's attitude of caring too much about the Dark Lord.

"Sissi..." Lucius softened his attitude and held his wife's hand. "I was not loyal eleven years ago, but the Dark Lord may just not be able to do it now. We must be prepared for the future."

Narcissa patted Draco's hand and paused. A hesitant light flashed in the black eyes of the Black family. Draco in her arms looked up at her with tears in his eyes. After noticing his mother's distraction, he turned to look at his father and saw a pair of eyes that were also thoughtful.

"Draco," Lucius began, "when we find a way to contact Della Riddle, I want you to write the first letter from the Malfoys."

"Don't even think about it!" Draco broke free from his mother's arms, "Della was wrong! I won't write her the first letter!"

Amid his parents' calls with varying emotions, Draco ran back to his room regardless, and the resistance in his heart reached its peak at this moment.

Now, he has become the one who did everything wrong!

Draco was still thinking about Della and was still angry, but a sense of panic rose in his heart. The compromise of his once arrogant parents made him further realize the significance of Della's current identity as the Dark Lord's daughter.

Can they still be the same as before?

And Della, whom he was worried about, was sitting in the study of the Muggle apartment rented to her by the Ministry of Magic, making preparations before departure.

Della turned on the warm reading light and lightly turned a page of the book. The light shone on her pale and delicate face, and the added warmth could not completely conceal the solemnity beneath her calm expression.

A letter came from Country F a few days ago, inviting her to spend her summer vacation in Beauxbatons.
