Chapter 165 New Dormitory
The accommodation conditions in the Lily of the Valley area of Beauxbatons are very good. The double dormitory has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Della and Bellinda share a large bedroom and a common area with a small kitchen.
There was a bed with a desk underneath in the bedroom. It was made of solid wood with a mellow color and was quite large. Dela, who had just sent Quasi and Nella to clean up the public area, stroked the heavy desk and couldn't wait to put the books in the suitcase on the bookshelf that was integrated with the desk.
"The small staircase leading to the bed can be opened, and all my books are placed inside." Bellinda, lying on the bed, supported her face with her beautiful eyes slightly narrowed. She looked at Della and reminded her with her habit.
"Really?" Della, who found her roommate's bookshelf full of cosmetics, jewelry, and beauty potions, pulled the ladder and pretended to look at the bookshelf again. She politely rejected Belinda's suggestion, "I think it's better for me to put out the books I often read."
"Often? Are you a nerd?" Belinda blinked, her fine eyelashes fluttering up and down.
"I think I might be." Della replied and continued to put her books in order. When she took out a famous work from the Muggle world, Belinda cried out.
"You're reading Muggle books!" She sat up in bed, her golden hair swaying in waves, and Belinda opened her amber eyes wide.
"If you are only concerned about the reason why I read this book, I read it when I was learning French," Della glanced at Belinda sideways and generously showed her the cover of the book, "If you are concerned about whether I read Muggle books, I have been reading them since I learned to read."
"This really surprises me. The rumor in school is that you are the daughter of the Dark Lord." Belinda tilted her head, with a beautiful curve rising from the side of her neck. "And we all know that the Dark Lord is an extreme pure-blood believer."
Della didn't hear hatred in Bellinda's clear voice, nor did she see disgust on her roommate's overly beautiful face, so she raised her eyebrows and asked, "What do you think I should be like?"
"You emphasized your family after you said your name, and displayed a bunch of expensive things from the wizarding world when you were packing up," Belinda counted on her fingers, "and you arrogantly asked me to be your girlfriend and so on."
"..."
Della lost the last thought of refuting Belinda's words. She turned around and put the book back on the shelf while explaining her own situation. "Before I was eleven years old, I was in an orphanage, a Muggle orphanage. As for whether I am the daughter of the Dark Lord, I think my explanation is useless, so I won't say more."
"I like you like this!" Belinda shouted again, but her soft and crisp voice did not make people feel rash at all, "I never care how others define me."
Narcissism, ego, non-bloodlineism...
"Great, I think we can get along very well," Della replied, slowly determining Belinda's personality traits. Then she paused in putting the book down and turned to Belinda again. "I have to confirm one thing first. Do snakes bother you? I have three snakes."
"Snake!" Belinda covered her mouth, her amber pupils trembling in fear, but even Della could see her obvious signs of over-acting.
"If the next thing you say is 'scared', I will question my eyes." Della took out the small suitcase, and without changing it back to its original size, she just put it on the table and opened it, then knocked on the table. A fluttering sound was heard, and Angel rushed out impatiently. Angel was always afraid of Maggie, and he had been staying with him today, so he was afraid that he would scare him.
"It's a beautiful white owl!" Belinda said excitedly, her eyes swaying as Angel stretched his body, and there was no trace of the artificial fear in her voice.
Della thought that Belinda's clear voice was innocent and like that of a fool, but she was still considerate enough to help her change it to the label of "easy-going".
Next came Apep, a small black snake of excellent appearance, with dark hide and dark eyes, and a slender, smooth body, so that again Belinda cried, “What a beauty!” and she jumped off the bed.
Maggie came out at this time, but Belinda didn't even look at this little snake that was very popular in Hogwarts. It was true that Maggie was also in good appearance and her body was also slender and smooth, but the common blue-gray color could not be compared with pure black.
"It's okay, Apep is very docile," Della was busy instructing her new roommate, who was a head taller than her, to pet Apep. She only glanced at Maggie meaningfully, "He is the friendliest one."
"The friendliest?" Belinda, who boldly put Apep on her shoulder, looked at Della, then at Maggie who had just half emerged from her body. "Is it bad?" she asked Della.
"Maggie? He's not a bad guy. He's smart and docile, but docility does not always mean friendliness." Della also looked at Maggie, watching as the back half of his body arched slightly and he used his tail to roll out the blind Sadolin.
“Oh!” Looking at Sadolin’s scabby eye sockets and several hideous scratches on her body, Belinda frowned. She didn’t even ask if Sadolin was docile or not, nor did she think about whether these wounds were left by a fight. She reached out to comfort the miserable-looking snake, “What a pitiful little thing it is!”
"No, this one won't do. She's a venomous snake, extremely poisonous." Della picked up Sadolin first, and motioned for Maggie to slide onto her. "Although I can make you immune to Sadolin's toxins, getting bit by her won't be a good thing. You can see that, she's been abused, I have to keep her for a while."
"Oh!" Looking at the mutilated body of Sadolin, Belinda, with Apep wrapped around her neck, sighed loudly. Her pretty eyes were full of pity. "I will wait for you to take good care of Sadolin, Della."
Dramatic emotional performance and strong empathy, Della added two more labels to Belinda. She looked at her new roommate who had not yet flattered her as the well-known daughter of the Dark Lord, and smiled, "I will, Belinda."
Belinda also blinked and smiled. Compared with Della's usual politeness, her smile was much more lively. "I just found that this green snake is not bad. Its name is Maggie, right? You have a good taste in choosing snakes. Do you want me to help you sort out your clothes? I can't wait to get to know you."
"Know me by looking at my clothes?"
"Of course, this is the fastest way. I know people always like to buy the same type of clothes for themselves. I can tell her character from whether she likes to wear a long skirt or a shirt." Belinda said as she looked up and down at Della, who was wearing a neat and slim-fitting dress.
Della raised her hand cooperatively so that Belinda could get a better look at her slightly formal outfit today. She asked, "What's in your closet, Belinda? What kind do you like?"
"There are all kinds of types. I'm the kind of woman who's hard to figure out, and..." While speaking, Belinda shook her slender neck slightly and made small movements with her hands, but she didn't seem annoying at all. Rather, her every move completely caught the attention of others. "I know I look good in anything I wear. I'm the one who defines beauty."
Sure enough, narcissism is her biggest label.
"So, there is a separate type called Belinda, and there is also a separate beauty called Belinda, right?" Della blinked.
"Oh! You are so good at talking! Are you really not going to take advantage of my free time to break up with your boyfriend? We will live very happily together!" Belinda waved her graceful arms, and her two clenched fists suddenly pressed against her neck, looking very cute. She tilted her head and asked Della again.
"No, I can't do this to my boyfriend who has done nothing wrong." Della replied, looking away and sighing slightly.
In fact, she is now the one who is doing the wrong thing in the relationship.
