Chapter 179 "Children"

Trevor Ewing arrived in Country F in mid-August and only met Maggie and Rochel. He showed Rochel and his daughter another reason why he was chosen - he spoke half a Parseltongue. If you were to be more relaxed, you could almost think that he was related to Della Riddle.

So Rochel suddenly paid attention to this big boy who they originally thought was just a little bit of an eye. In addition to loyalty, Trevor also brought some new news to Della.

"Has a Death Eater escaped from Azkaban?" In the dormitory, Della, who had learned about Sirius from Maggie, frowned. She stopped drawing the phase diagram in her hand and said, "It is said that he is the Death Eater who is most loyal to Voldemort?"

"Hee-sssa (Trevaux says he's perfectly willing to leave now)," Maggie added.

"..." Della hesitated for a while, and finally waved her hand to reject it. "It doesn't matter. Since the Ministry of Magic has joined forces with Muggles to arrest Sirius Black, it will be difficult for him to find Voldemort."

Even if he was found, a notorious wanted criminal would hardly satisfy Voldemort's need for resurrection.

Besides, Black might be coming for her...or Harry.

"I'll let Rochel pay more attention to the news in this regard." Della said, and continued to modify the basically completed design plan on the drawing. This was a phase diagram drawn for Gillis Holt's private diary. Although his purpose was not here, Della still planned to finish her work as an alchemist to make this communication under the excuse more decent.

She has been very busy recently. She has made some progress in the office and laboratory. After the progress, there is more to do. Sometimes she even wants to live in the research institute.

Well, in fact, she did sleep in the office one night, but when she arrived at the laboratory the next day, Zhou Yushi and Livia persuaded her to go back to the dormitory on the grounds that the child needed to grow. In the dormitory, Bellinda explained to her in detail the dangers of staying up late (Bellinda herself had a very healthy and regular schedule).

Their attitude was a bit tough, which even made Della feel fresh. She quickly understood where the freshness came from - no one had treated her like a child for a long time.

She doesn't even think of herself as a child.

Della generally listened to their advice, but she increased her previous five-day work habit to six and a half days, and began to bring some non-confidential written work to the dormitory at night.

Belinda had teased Della about being a "workaholic and breadwinner". Della never objected but just smiled. Sometimes she felt that the monthly allowance of 600 Galleons was a bit too little, as her workload and contribution were definitely more than that.

This feeling was quite novel, because now that she had hundreds of thousands of Galleons, she actually cared about these few hundred Galleons. She had never cared so much about money before.

Is it because work gives her a sense of life?

Maybe, Della didn't hate it. Compared to being the daughter of the Dark Lord, she was very happy to be just Della Riddle in the research institute, and she was also happy to be an ordinary student in any school.

"Hai-(Master)," Sadolin slid onto the table. After a month of familiarization, she could basically walk around the dormitory and the outside of the dormitory building without any obstacles. Della would also regularly apply specially customized perfume on her so that she could smell her way back even if she got lost. "Hai-hi-sa (I just heard Belinda's footsteps on the road. There is a man beside her. I guess she is coming back)."

Sadolin could roughly hear the difference in the walking of men and women, young and old, and Belinda's gait was different from most people. Perhaps it was because she was a model, she walked lightly and powerfully, which made her the easiest to distinguish for Sadolin.

"Very good." Della praised Sadolin. Maggie was training Apep and Sadolin in human language, but the effect was probably limited to simple dog training language.

"It's almost half past nine. Belinda has been coming back a little late lately." Della looked at the small clock on the table and Apep who was playing by himself next to her. She recalled Belinda's daily routine and suddenly remembered that Belinda's lover seemed to be a woman. "Hei Xi Ya (Is there a man next to Belinda? She doesn't have any abnormal conditions such as bleeding or injuries, right, Sadolin)?"

"Hai-Xi (no smell of blood, and no problem walking)." Sadolin answered affirmatively.

"Sashi-Ya (she changed partners a long time ago. I told you she is a humanoid succubus)," Maggie knew what Della was thinking, "Hai-Sah (this is the third one in her school, but judging from her short window of separation, I guess she has also had a relationship in the Muggle world)."

"Is that so?" Della nodded, without any surprise on her face, and continued with the work at hand. It was okay for Belinda to change her partner every day. That was Bellinda's own business. She just wanted to know that Bellinda was fine.

"..." Maggie stared at Della. Although he also felt that it was not a big deal that Belinda changed partners frequently, he still felt that Della's reaction was too indifferent.

This made him a little confused about Della's view on love. Maggie fully accepted a free and open relationship. It would be better to say that he was quite happy for Della to invest a little emotion in many men, which was better than hanging on to a childish guy.

However, given Della's attitude towards Draco and her initial rejection of Belinda, Maggie always thought that Della had a tendency towards pure love and responsibility.

Logically speaking, if a person has a preference for something, he or she should unconsciously reject the other one, but he didn't see this at all in Della.

"What's wrong?" Della noticed that Maggie's gaze stayed on her face for too long. She didn't stop writing or even raise her head. She just asked casually, "You are not thinking about Bellinda, are you?"

"..." Maggie didn't know what to say for a moment. After all, it was impossible to directly ask Della about her views on love and partners, so he was rarely stuck.

"..." Della was silent. She paused and looked up at Maggie. After a lot of thinking, she barely ruled out the possibility that Maggie had fallen in love with Belinda. "Have you been too idle recently? I know you heard a lot of gossip when you were in Hogwarts, but you never thought of talking to me about those things."

Most of the gossip is about meaningless things about meaningless people, and they never really care about it.

"Hai-(A little bit)." Maggie could only respond to Della's words.

"It really makes me unhappy." Della supported her face with one hand, pursed her lips and shook her head. What is more unhappy than working overtime is that the person next to you is on holiday while you are working overtime.

She thought for a while and gave Maggie a suggestion, "Trev and Rochiel's first stop is Las Vegas. Do you want to come with them? Anyway, we will have an independent space when we arrive at Durmstrang. Karkaroff is building the sealed laboratory I want. You can have some fun during your stay at Beauxbatons."

Maggie turned her head around. Between teaching the two little stupid snakes and going to the Muggle world, she happily chose to go to the world-famous Vanity Fair. "Sa-Xi (I want to go. Please take care of yourself during this time)"

"How could I not take care of myself?" Having said that, Della had already started thinking about what to bring tomorrow. Usually Maggie would help her prepare these in the morning.

Oh, it turns out that Maggie has always treated her as a child.

Della realized this after breaking out of her routine.
