Chapter 204: Honest Luke
Luke smiled and patted the stunned McClane.
Said to Lilith on the communicator:
"Arrange the flights waiting in the air to land one after another. And restore the airport tower's system so they can continue to work."
"Okay, boss."
McClane was relieved to see that Luke had made arrangements.
My wife finally landed safely.
Only then did Luke remember to ask McClane.
"Why did you come to Washington to spend Christmas?"
McClain sighed and shrugged.
"Holly insisted on coming to her mother's house for Christmas, saying that there was no Christmas atmosphere in Los Angeles without snow."
Luke smiled and said to him:
"My private jet will be coming to pick me up and take me back to Los Angeles soon. Do you want to come with me?"
McClane thought about it and rejected Luke.
"Forget it. Holly and I have finally reconciled. I won't comment on it, to avoid her getting mad again..."
Luke patted his shoulder.
"John, remember, if you can't get back what you lost in life, it means you're not good enough in bed..."
"Fuck...Luke, you underestimated me."
Luke waved his hand, pulled McClane into the car, and drove back to the terminal.
In the tower, staff have taken over the dispatching work one after another.
But Lilith's arrangements are still the main focus.
All the staff were in awe of the precise control of each aircraft.
Flights arrived one after another and everything seemed to be back to normal.
At the airport gate, Luke saw Frank who was about to leave.
"Frank, aren't you going home?"
Frank sighed and complained to Luke:
"That's how it is for soldiers. You rarely get to spend time with your family on holidays."
So Luke tempted him:
"Then retire. America doesn't need a soldier like you anyway."
Frank frowned and answered Luke.
"I want to, too, but I don't know what I can do after I retire. I haven't figured it out yet."
Luke patted his shoulder.
"Come to Los Angeles, man. I believe in you. As long as you come, I will take care of everything in your family life."
Frank looked at Luke and gave him that ugly smile of his.
"Thank you, Luke. I haven't thought about it yet, and I still need to discuss it with my family."
Luke waved his hand.
"As soon as possible, move your family to Los Angeles. I'll take care of everything. New York has bad feng shui and is too chaotic."
Frank thought for a moment and nodded.
"I also think New York is not very good, but after all, it is still relatively convenient to Quantico. It only takes half a day to drive there."
The two chatted for a while and then parted ways.
Frank and his men returned to Quantico, and McClane was picking up his wife Holly.
After Luke waited for someone from his company to pick up the car, he found McClane and Holly to say hello, then took his own plane back to Los Angeles.
Someone has taken over the follow-up of this matter, so Luke can leave with peace of mind.
By now Ernie Paxton (current FBI Director) is well aware of Luke's tactics.
Kill them and bury them!
This guy is good at planning and directing, but he just doesn't like the aftermath.
But fortunately, Luke is definitely a lucky general under his command. He does not take credit for his achievements and keeps a low profile.
So Director Paston was very willing to help him clean up the mess.
No matter how the credit is calculated, just remember to give Luke the credit in the end.
It's not that Luke is easy to talk to, but his background is too strong, and I have to give it to him...
The work was done, and Luke had no intention of disturbing President Marshall.
They are all smart people, just look at the report later.
It is up to him to decide what benefits to give at that time.
But President Marshall did give Luke a surprise.
After Christmas, before President Marshall left office, he signed a mandate.
The FBI's Special Incidents Unit can, under limited circumstances, carry out missions to rescue American citizens overseas.
This authorization is very interesting.
What are special circumstances? What are limitations? Overseas rescue missions?
This was a joint decision between the White House, the Department of Justice, and the FBI.
But the decision still lies with Luke.
He has the right to refuse overseas missions.
There are too many such units in the US military.
But there are very few government departments, and the very few here means publicly.
A lot of this is done in private, and almost every department has such a department that specializes in carrying out overseas missions.
This has almost become an open secret among federal law enforcement agencies.
After returning to Los Angeles, Luke became more low-key.
The new president has been in office since January, but Luke still has no idea what this guy's temper is like.
The new Doherty has entered the Federal Supreme Court and become one of the nine highest justices.
The new Attorney General has not yet taken office and needs to be nominated by the new president after taking office. The former Deputy Attorney General is currently serving as acting Attorney General.
During this time, Luke continued to work on research and development.
The squad members continued to assist Harris in deterring the Los Angeles underworld.
Why is there a deterrent effect in the underworld? Because an undercover agent was killed by the gang.
The Los Angeles police department seemed to be in an uproar, with all officers madly targeting this gang.
The gang couldn't even come up with a few scapegoats, and Harris, led Arthur and a group of Los Angeles police detectives like crazy.
With the precise intelligence provided by Lilith, Luke led his team to avenge Harris for the first time.
He was still dressed in the same mafia outfit, and not only him, but all the other team members except Cook and Erica were dressed in outfits specially matched by Luke.
Harris knew that Luke was very cruel to these gangsters. Anyone with a weapon would be shot dead without giving them a chance to surrender.
Finally the opportunity came.
The gang members were troubled by the Los Angeles FBI branch, so they gathered together to discuss a solution.
Lilith located the meeting place based on the intelligence.
Luke and his team broke into the villa.
The periphery is full of agents from the Los Angeles FBI branch, who have completely blocked off the area.
Cook and Erica operated drones and reconnaissance spider robots, providing internal information and the distribution of guards.
Luke brought the male members of his team, all dressed like mafia gangsters.
Kick the door and give a warning in one go.
"FBI, put your hands up."
The team members are already familiar with Luke's process.
Because Luke only said this once, as long as you go through the procedures, kill anyone who has a weapon...
Five minutes later, except for Luke's team, there was no two-legged creature left standing in the villa.
This gang was wiped out by the Los Angeles FBI with lightning speed.
Not only that, a large number of weapons, contraband and a large amount of cash were also seized.
This made Harris so happy that he almost hugged Luke and started to bite him on the spot.
After a portion of the money is distributed to the families of the fallen agents, the rest can be used to provide benefits to the Los Angeles branch.
Luke also contributed a bit, and the money was transferred to his own company, which then gave out shopping cards with large discounts.
Win-win...
Not only that, Harris rewarded Luke for two nights, no...rewarded herself...
Young women who have been single for a long time, those who understand will understand...
