Chapter 204 Inspection
Chapter 204 Inspection
Shanmei.
Haifeng County, Gongping Town.
Several official cars painted with the words "Nandian Group" were parked in a small mountain village west of Gongping Town.
"Manager Song, the location should be nearby." The driver said after parking the car.
The secretary looked at the map navigation and said, "Old Zheng, drive about 300 meters forward and you will turn a corner."
"Ok."
The car moved forward again.
After a few minutes, after turning a bend, the scene that was blocked by the mountain suddenly became clear.
In a small valley, the flat land and hills on both sides of the road have been transformed into dairy farms.
At first glance, the dairy cow sheds on this farm, plus various supporting facilities, and artificial pastures for the cows to move around, appear to be an endless scene.
The mountains on both sides have also been transformed into four-level terraces, which are planted with genetically modified silk cotton trees, and under the silk cotton trees are lush alfalfa.
The three cars stopped slightly.
The signboards on the roadside read Gongping Town Dairy Breeding Base and Gongping Town Biofuel Experimental Base.
Following the instructions, the group drove for more than one kilometer before they saw rows of buildings next to the cowshed. On the roof of one of the buildings was a large red sign that read "Gongping Town Biofuel Experimental Base". They knew they had reached their destination.
At the door, explain the situation to the security guard.
After a while, Lin Shuya came out with Zhang Guangyu, the person in charge of the experimental base.
"Hello, I'm Lin Shuya, the technical manager of the Technology Division of Hailufeng Company."
"Hello, I am Wang Shanhe, general manager of Lingnan Branch of Nandian Group. I am very happy to meet Professor Lin." Wang Shanhe had obviously done his homework before coming. He knew that Lin Shuya in front of him was Jiang Miao's wife, a scientist in the field of microbiology, and a distinguished professor at Lion Rock Agricultural University.
Lin Shuya said calmly, "I already know why Manager Wang came here. I happen to have some free time recently, so I will introduce the technology to you personally!"
"Then I'll trouble you, Professor Lin." Wang Shanhe remembered something, turned around and pulled another middle-aged man and said, "Professor Lin, this is Dr. Ma Zhiyao, our company's honorary consultant. Dr. Ma is engaged in the field of biogas power generation and has some knowledge of microbial power generation technology."
"Hello, Professor Lin."
"Hello, Dr. Ma."
The group introduced themselves to each other and then headed inside the base.
Zhang Guangyu, the head of the base, introduced the base to everyone. He pointed to the building with the words "Power Generation Building" on it and said:
"Everyone, this is the microbial fuel cell power generation device currently in use in our company - Fibermustard No. 1."
Dr. Ma raised his glasses and said, "Professor Lin, I have read the paper you published some time ago. Is this Fiber Mustard No. 1 developed based on that mutated Erwinia bacteria?"
"That's right." Lin Shuya smiled slightly.
The two exchanged academic topics for a while.
Wang Shanhe, who seemed to be listening to a foreign language, quickly found an opportunity to interrupt the two people who were still talking about technology research and development. He said with a smile:
"Professor Lin, why don't we go in and see how the equipment works?"
Lin Shuya reacted immediately, and seeing that Wang Shanhe and the others didn't quite understand the professional terms, she nodded quickly: "Okay, Director Zhang, take us in to have a look!"
"Everyone, please come in!" Zhang Guangyu led the way.
Several technical staff led by Dr. Ma had no choice but to follow the crowd and go in.
When we arrived at the door of the power building, there was a smell of cow dung, but no one said anything.
After passing through the disinfection channel and putting on protective clothing, everyone entered the power building. However, they did not directly enter the power generation room that needed to be isolated from the inside and outside, but came to the control center on the top floor.
Inside the control center, three staff members on duty are looking at the computer screen.
Seeing Zhang Guangyu and others coming in, he quickly stood up with a hint of nervousness on his face.
Zhang Guangyu waved his hand: "You all return to your posts. I will show General Lin around."
"Okay." Everyone secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Looking at the monitoring screen and the background data of each power control device, Wang Shanhe could understand a little bit. He found a device he was familiar with and asked:
"Director Zhang, can this base generate 350 kilowatts of electricity per day?"
Zhang Guangyu also smiled and nodded: "Yes, our factory currently has 500 microbial fuel cell boxes in use, with a maximum power generation capacity of 175 kilowatts."
Wang Shanhe continued to ask: "500 battery boxes? How big are these microbial fuel cell boxes? How much does it cost?" "The inner tank is one cubic meter, and with the outer shell, it will be a little bigger. The cost of one battery box is about 2000 yuan." Zhang Guangyu did not tell the truth. In fact, the material cost of the entire battery box was only about 850 yuan.
But the person on the other side might be a customer, so he naturally wouldn’t say the cost is 850 yuan.
Of course, Wang Shanhe didn't believe that a box would be worth 2000 yuan, but he didn't expose it. Instead, he continued to ask with a smile: "I heard that the battery room of the microbial fuel cell uses cow dung and straw. Can pig dung be used as well?"
"Yes, animal excrement and plants can be used as raw materials for battery fluid."
Dr. Ma, Lin Shuya and others continued to talk about some technical things.
The two sides talked about their own things and for a while did not interfere with each other.
However, after more than two hours of inspection, Wang Shanhe did not express any intention. It was not that he did not understand the benefits and advantages of this technology, but as a state-owned enterprise, this kind of cooperation was not something he, the general manager of the Lingnan branch, could decide on, and it had to be reported to the head office.
He just asked Dr. Ma to stay and bring his people to continue to complete various materials. Wang Shanhe himself took his people back to the headquarters to prepare to explain the situation to the management of the head office.
As for this point, even though Lin Shuya had no experience in managing a business, she was clear about the internal operating model of state-owned enterprises and naturally would not demand any promises from the other party.
Anyway, whether Nandian Group is willing to adopt this technology is irrelevant to Hailufeng Company.
The core application area of microbial fuel cell technology is actually those large-scale breeding enterprises, especially pig, cattle and sheep, which are manure-producing machines. They produce a huge amount of excrement every day, and these excrement contain a large amount of organic matter and various nutrients.
Of course, if you are a company with a large farm, you can also consider using straw as raw material.
Using microbial fuel cells, we can achieve self-sufficiency in electricity, sell electricity to the power grid in a stable manner, build charging stations and charge fees, etc.
As for small farms and small breeding farms, they are not suitable for independently building microbial fuel cell power stations because this power generation system requires a stable and large supply of fuel.
If there is not enough straw and livestock excrement, it will be impossible to form economies of scale, which will increase the cost of power generation and make power generation unprofitable.
Ideally, the minimum scale of a microbial fuel cell power station should be maintained at more than 10000 boxes in order to reduce the cost to around 0.15 yuan per kilowatt-hour.
Otherwise, a situation similar to that of the Yangcheng Storage Center will occur. After allocating labor costs, the cost reaches a high level of 0.47 yuan per kilowatt-hour. This cost is okay for personal use, but the power grid will not charge for this kind of electricity because the price is too high.
However, in recent years, the power system has been undergoing market reforms. If power generation companies obtain the qualifications to sell electricity, they can sell electricity directly to commercial and industrial users through the power trading platform.
However, there are still many problems in the current operation of this system. The most critical point is that there is an unbridgeable gap between power generation companies that want to sell electricity and users who want to buy electricity, and that is the power grid.
The contradiction lies in the fact that the power generation situations of new energy power generation companies, traditional thermal power companies and traditional hydropower companies are different.
Solar and wind power generation companies have low costs and large fluctuations.
Hydropower generation companies have low costs and relatively small fluctuations.
Thermal and nuclear power generation has high regional costs and minimal fluctuations.
Once everyone rushes to sell electricity to the grid, the price of photovoltaic and wind power will of course be the lowest. But the problem is that the regulation of photovoltaic and wind power requires the cooperation of hydropower and thermal power, which can easily lead to conflicts.
After all, the thermal power plant cannot sit and wait for death. If you want me to adjust electricity consumption, then give me money to subsidize me. Otherwise, who would be willing to do such a loss-making business?
Burning oneself to warm others, that is the characteristic of a candle.
The thermal power station is not a charity organization.
This is the challenge facing current electricity trading platforms.
Unless every power generation company can build an independent power grid, this contradiction will be difficult to resolve.
It is almost a fantasy for every power generation company to build an independent power grid.
The construction cost, operation cost and maintenance cost of the power grid are not affordable for ordinary enterprises.
At present, for many photovoltaic and wind power companies, the power grid only gives them an access quota of 30% of their generated power. This is because the power grid cannot afford the unstable electricity.
What is even more serious is that the scale of domestic wind power and photovoltaic construction is getting larger and larger, making the power grid increasingly difficult to regulate.
The only solution now is to develop the power storage industry on a large scale, such as pumped-storage reservoirs, large-scale power stations, electric vehicle battery storage, etc., in order to barely consume a part of photovoltaic and wind power.
This is also the reason why Jiang Miao did not rush Hailufeng Company to cooperate with the power grid. The main reason is that the power grid is now tightening its review of the access quota for new energy power generation projects and will not easily approve unstable power sources to be connected to the grid.
Although the power generation capacity of Hailufeng's microbial fuel cell technology is highly controllable, the low power generation capacity is also a problem.
However, Jiang Miao did not get hung up on power generation and grid connection. His target customers were large-scale breeding companies.
Less than three days after the inspection team from Nandian Group left, another company that had previously cooperated closely with Hailufeng Company came to them.
