Chapter 218 The Third Prophecy
She slowly opened her eyes and saw a wrinkled face in front of her.
The eye sockets on that face were sunken, and the eyelids were drooping like orange peels, with no eyeballs in them.
It was the old man who wanted to trick her into exchanging her feelings for a prophecy.
She heard a familiar voice coming from her mouth: "Prophet Adrian, in addition to the four Knights of Divine Revelation who have followed me since the ancient Earth era, the Temple Knights serve as my personal guards and always maintain a strength of twelve people."
"Over the years, there have been no less than a hundred knights who were born in the Knights Templar and sent to various interstellar fleets as major generals after training. What's the difference between telling me that a knight will betray me and telling me that a planet in the vast galaxies of the Interstellar Federation will declare independence?"
Ai Wanxin reacted for a moment and realized that this should be what happened after the last prophecy.
Why am I having these serial dreams again?
Before she could figure it out, the prophet Adrian put down the golden scepter with his dry branch-like hand, and the scepter fell on the smooth marble floor with a dull "thump".
"Nebula Well gave this prophecy, so there must be a reason for it."
Ai Wanxin's face was filled with indescribable confusion. Isn't this a scam?
If it is accurate, then you are a great prophet; if it is inaccurate, then you are insincere. You have said both the right and the wrong things.
However, the body was not under her control now.
In her dream, she did not utter a word in rebuttal.
Prophet Adrian sighed and said, "I know you don't believe it, so why not listen to the second prophecy."
Ai Wanxin rejected this suggestion.
Some predictions about the future are useful. For example, because she was reborn, she knew that the end of the world was coming, so she made a lot of preparations in advance.
But some predictions are purely about playing with people's mentality. Looking at the first prophecy, you can tell that the Nebula Well can't say anything good.
Oh, don't even look at the prophecy, look at what it wants.
Asking for kinship, friendship, and love from others, does that look like helping others?
If she were to say so, she would just smash this broken well and call it a demon that confuses people.
However, in the dream, she did not do as Ai Wanxin wished, snatching the prophet's scepter and smashing the broken well, but nodded.
Ai Wan was so angry that her heart was pounding.
Prophet Adrian raised the unfortunate scepter again, but before he could bring the scepter up, a hazy blue light appeared under the surface of the Nebula Well.
He clearly had no eyes, but he seemed to be able to see, and put down the scepter in surprise.
Prophet Adrian thrust his shaking hand into the light, but came up empty.
He turned to Ai Wanxin and said, "It's Nebula Well that has something for you."
Ai Wanxin looked at "herself" doubtfully as she stretched out her hand and reached into the light. After a while, the light faded and a ball half the size of her palm appeared in her palm.
Ai Wanxin looked at the silver-white sphere carved with exquisite patterns with some confusion. In the hollow sphere, golden stellar wind was slowly rotating in one direction.
A strange thought came into her mind.
Could this be her old actor Star Ball?
Prophet Adrian reached out again, and his skinny fingers went straight through the ball.
He paused imperceptibly and said, "It seems that only you can open it."
Ai Wanxin opened the metal buckle on the sphere, and golden star wind spread like clouds and mist. In the center of the sphere floated two silver rings inlaid with gems, one dark blue and the other blood red.
Prophet Adrian reached out and took the two rings out of the sphere, stroking the runes engraved on the ring settings.
Ai Wanxin's silent murmurs almost overlapped with his trembling voice: "Precepts, laws, precepts..."
But why two?
In the dream, she asked, "What are the precepts and the law?"
The deep hollow eye sockets of the prophet Adrian were fixed on the ball in her palm: "The Ring of Discipline can suppress all supernatural powers."
"Why are there two?"
Ai Wanxin pricked up her ears, finally asking the part she wanted to know most.
"Anyone who wears the red magic ring can be immune to supernatural power suppression. You can give it to the knight you trust most."
Her clear and cold voice rang out in the dream: "I trust every one of my knights."
Prophet Adrian remained noncommittal.
Seeing that there was no other instruction from the Nebula Well, he brought up the second prophecy.
Ai Wanxin felt herself nodding. In front of her, the prophet Adrian's withered hand picked up the staff again and pointed the tip of the staff at her forehead. A light smoke was drawn from between her brows and merged into the Well of Nebula as the golden scepter moved.
Ai Wan was angry and anxious. She really didn't want to dream anymore, but no matter how she struggled, her whole body seemed to be in a nightmare and she couldn't move.
A dazzling nebula rose from the water. The prophet Adrian passed his hand through the nebula and said in a trembling voice: "The knights who followed you to the distant star will all rest there forever."
Ai Wanxin only felt a sharp pain in her heart, almost to the point of cramp, which suddenly pulled her out of her dream.
Her chest heaved violently, her ears buzzed, and she felt dizzy.
It took a long time for her hearing and vision to return to normal.
In front of her was the dilapidated aluminum ceiling of the small office in the municipal building. The clear snow light illuminated the room through the windows without curtains. It was daybreak, and she had indeed just had a dream.
But the dream was continuous and logical. Even the origins of the star ball and the law ring were so reasonable that she couldn't ignore it again.
Ai Wanxin propped herself up and sat up on the bed. Her whole body was limp, and a drop of cold sweat slid down her cheek and dripped onto the back of her cold hand.
"Sweetheart, are you awake?" He Yang's voice was not loud, as if he was afraid that he might have heard it wrong and woke her up by mistake.
Because she was resting, even though he heard the noise in the house, he did not come in without permission.
Ai Wan agreed weakly.
The hurried footsteps stopped at the door, and He Yang knocked on it: "I'm coming in?"
"Come in." She looked down at the magic ring on her index finger, thought for a moment, and put it into the space.
He Yang pushed open the door and walked in. Ai Wanxin was a little absent-minded at first, but when she saw his expression, she couldn't help but laugh out loud.
The temperature outside was at least 20 to 30 degrees below zero, but He Yang's strong upper body was naked. His shoulders were broad and straight, his chest muscles were full and strong, his eight-pack abs and deep mermaid line were clearer than the trajectory of his life.
He had been standing at the brightly lit doorway very deliberately. When he saw Ai Wanxin's face was not looking good and sweat was coming out of her forehead, he hurried over and asked, "Are you feeling unwell?"
Ai Wanxin shook her head, leaned against his firm and warm abdominal muscles, and asked with a smile: "Aren't you cold?"
He Yang's back was a little stiff, and he didn't know where to put his hands. He forced himself to say, "I'm changing clothes. Besides, this little bit of snow is easy for me to handle."
