Chapter 219 Della's Discovery

After school started, Della handed in the empty thorn hourglass to Professor Cockrell, and also handed in several completed wizard level examination materials.

"clang--"

Cockrell tapped the hourglass, making a crisp echo, and all the gold sand flowed back. He looked at Della, who was standing upright in front of the desk, and said, "Tap it again, Riddle."

Della knocked as she was told, and the sound was just as crisp. The sand trickled down, but about one-sixth of it remained on it. Della's eyes widened in surprise, "I didn't do any tricks on it, Professor," she hurriedly explained to Cockrell.

"No one can play tricks on this," Cockrell said calmly, "Your abilities have grown sufficiently, but your desire to explore is not strong enough."

"Professor, this..." Della frowned and said hesitantly.

"It won't have any impact. You can move on to the next stage of study," Cockerell picked up Della's homework and took a quick look. "For the wizard level test, your knowledge reserve is almost there. I will arrange for another professor to give you some guidance on test skills. You can take the test on Thursday, and she will accompany you during the test."

After crossing out Divination, Della had to take eleven exams, two exams for each subject, and she would have to stay in Country D for at least a week.

"Thank you very much, Professor. I will prepare well." Della responded to Cockrell's words and quickly made a time estimate and preparation plan in her mind.

"And manifest," Cockerell pushed Della's small stack of homework aside, placed the thorn hourglass between the two of them, and slowly moved his hands in black leather gloves around the hourglass. His movements were slow and light, as if he was performing some strange ritual, "You can start now."

Della watched as the one-sixth of the golden sand floated up and suddenly swirled in the hourglass on the upper layer. Cockrell stopped moving his hands at this moment, then raised his right hand and a notebook flew into his hand. "You still need to let the sand drain out, but you can see me once every Friday night at 8 o'clock."

Cockrell handed over the sealed but somewhat rotten note. "Beyond the basic principles and results, I don't like to explain too much. Study it yourself, Riddle. When you are qualified to manifest, you will know what to do."

Della took it and gently touched the old notebook with traces of time. A serious look appeared on her face. "I will study it carefully, Professor Cockrell."

Cockrell nodded expressionlessly. He glanced at the thorn hourglass that Della had picked up again, and a dark light flashed in his eyes.

Unlike Della Riddle, although Tom Riddle had no pursuit, his personal desires were very clear. He strongly wanted to override everything and was convinced that he had the strength and power to do so, so his hourglass was empty in an instant.

But Della Riddle was hesitant, hesitant about taking the power her father wanted?

If Della Riddle was really someone who was hesitant about power, Cockrell didn't think those old foxes who were only interested in profit would be fooled by a simple title. Even the bluffing Karkaroff would not respect Miss Riddle.

Cockrell was more inclined to believe that Della Riddle was able to not desire power even though she had become so famous. Perhaps he had misjudged Riddle before, and Della might be a person with aspirations.

If that were the case, Cockrell would appreciate Della a little more and look forward to seeing how much trouble she could cause Dumbledore.

Because when Della Riddle pursues her desires, she inevitably uses power as a tool, and power, which is of little value in her eyes, can easily create huge waves for everything Dumbledore wants to protect.

Levon Cockrell is looking forward to that time.

"Professor Cockrell, when should I see the professor who will be guiding me for the exam?" At the end of the conversation, Della asked Cockrell, considering that the exam was on Thursday and today was already Tuesday. She wanted to have as much time as possible to prepare.

Cockrell raised his gray eyes to Della, and saw the strong color of an excellent student in this girl - hardworking, not afraid of unknown challenges, and fully prepared when facing known challenges. She is the kind of student that is hard to dislike. "On the second floor of the East Tower, the office with a black rose on the door. Her name is written on the doorplate, Litia Abate. You can go find her now."

"Abate?" Della suddenly thought of the annoying senior Gullam Abate from Hogwarts.

"What's wrong?" Cockrell could tell that Della's question was unusual.

"It's like this, Professor. The curse is still on me, so I can't meet wizards from Country Y," Della first explained the legitimacy of her doubt, and then she explained, "And there is also a senior named Abbott in Hogwarts. I was just wondering if there is any relationship between them."

"Liti was indeed a wizard from Country Y, but she was granted asylum by the Ministry of Magic of Country D a long time ago. There is no problem with the curse. As for the little Abate you mentioned..." Cockrell's cheek muscles twitched, and his face wrinkled more. "Don't mention it. Professor Abate won't ask you about this."

It seems that there is a real connection, Della thought to herself. Without asking any more questions, she nodded and responded to Cockrell's words obediently, "I understand, Professor."

"Go ahead." Cockrell waved his hand indifferently, ending the conversation.

Della tiptoed out of the office and closed the door. Outside the door, Sadolin was squatting on the ground with her face in her hands, staring at the mark left by Grindelwald on the wall without blinking. Her dark green eyes were wide open, and she looked very innocent.

"Hai-(Master)" Upon hearing the sound of the door opening, Sadolin turned her head, still squatting, and just blinked and smiled at Della.

"Sith-Aesar (You should stand up and speak, Sadolin)." Maggie slowly slid out from Della's neck. He had been hiding in Della's hair.

"Oh!" Under Maggie's deliberate guidance, Sadolin would subconsciously speak snake language. Apart from that, she would simply utter some interjections that only had emotional meanings, "Haishi-Sa (I forgot)!"

Having said that, Sadolin stood up, took two or three steps to Della, smiled and called her "master" in snake language.

Della looked up and down at Sadolin, who was dressed beautifully and no longer behaved rudely, and realized that Sadolin had transformed from a basilisk into a human in many ways. She immediately felt that the call of "master" directed at her was a little strange.

The word "master" has too much connotation, and she has never needed a slave.

"Since you are already a Slytherin, just call me Della outside, Sadolin." Della supported Sadolin's arm with a smile.

"Ha-Hisa (How can this be possible)..." Sadolin said hesitantly, but her eyes lit up as she looked at Della. She knew that calling each other by their names was an intimate act between friends, she had heard of it.

"Hai-xi (Sadolin, what should you do)?" Maggie suddenly joined the conversation. His hissing sound was no different from usual, but the light in Sadolin's eyes suddenly dimmed.

Maggie had told her that the master's orders were above all else.

The command of the Slytherin descendant who gave her light was above all else.

"What's wrong?" Della realized that Maggie's words made Sadolin feel something was wrong.

"Hai-shiha-sa (Nothing is wrong, Della)," Sadolin said, laughing as Maggie had taught her.

With just one simple sentence, Maggie misinterpreted Sadolin's external understanding and turned friendliness into an order.

"..." Della looked up and down at Sadolin again, and she probably guessed that Maggie had given her some hint, but she was very busy now and did not have time to pay too much attention to Sadolin's psychological problems.

After all, Sadolin is one of their own, not Nella, a bomb that Dumbledore placed next to her that could explode at any time and needs to be carefully defused, so Della plans to discuss Sadolin's development plan with Maggie after returning from the exam in Country D.

She doesn't need a slave, and Maggie actually doesn't have such a need. But one should not go too far in life and things, and blindly exploiting the value of others will cause problems.
