Chapter 237: The Moon Hidden in the Leaden Clouds, the Migratory Birds Occur

Chapter 237: The Moon Hidden in the Leaden Clouds, the Migratory Birds Occur (First Update, Please Give Me a Monthly Ticket)
The banquet was coming to an end. Cheng Xinzhan realized that these people might still have something to say, so he was the first to stand up and say goodbye. When he returned to Yangtaiju, he found that it was already dusk.

"Master, how about the banquet today?"

Zhao Li smiled and walked forward to ask.

Cheng Xinzhan smiled and nodded.

"Not bad, all the wine we drank was good."

Bai Long listened and swallowed his saliva.

"Master, I want to go next time too."

Before Cheng Xinzhan could answer, Zhao Li stepped on him.
"The master is having a banquet with friends, why are you following him? Wait until you reach the master's level before you drink."

Bai Long's face turned bitter, and he muttered quietly,
"The master started drinking when his cultivation level was low."

"you!"

Zhao Li put one hand on her waist and tried to pull Bai Long's ear with the other hand.

Cheng Xinzhan laughed loudly.
"I can take you drinking, as long as you can convince Zhao Li to agree."

After saying this, he no longer looked at the two children's expressions. He sat upright on the balcony, with his five hearts facing the sky, meditating.

It was obvious that today's banquet was a private banquet. The drunk Taoist must have called him over temporarily because he thought that he was new and could get along well with others.

The names of the six wanderers were so similar, and their interactions were so natural, it was obvious that they were old acquaintances. However, there was one thing, when the three young people talked or clinked glasses with the three old people, a closer look revealed that there was still a hint of deliberately concealed respect.

Therefore, the relationship between these six people should not be what they call friendship regardless of age difference. The three young men are the younger generations of the three older ones.

But why should he lie to a newcomer like himself, even if they were from the same sect and were of the same generation?

Moreover, their sect is not simple. I cannot see through the realm of Zuiting Sanren, who should be above the third level. Di Bai and Hu Qing should be at the first or second level.

The most important thing is that the three young men have all achieved Dan at a very young age.

The training of young people can best reflect the strength of a sect. These three young Jindan are enough to show that the master behind them is not simple.

Judging from the swordsmanship of Fen Yan Sanren, it was not something that could be taught by an ordinary sect. And that Zhan Qi Sanren, his aura was like an abyss, deep and bottomless. To be honest, I dare not say that I can defeat him.

Fenyan Sanren talked about another person in Shu, saying that among the younger generation, no one could match him in the art of sword clouds, and he wondered what kind of style he had.

Such a small Bailongqi Mountain is actually home to so many hidden talents. What will happen if we look at the talents and heroes in the entire Shuzhong area?
There are countless talented people and heroes in the world, so you must not be anxious and arrogant.

With a slight sigh and alertness in his heart, he then took out the jade bell from Mount Sanqing and directly contacted Master Tongxuan, who was now in charge of emergency affairs, and told him about the Qingzhou practitioner's westward migration.

How to treat this matter depends on what position you put yourself in. If you are a disciple of Meiji Mountain, then this matter has nothing to do with you. But if you are the head of Sanqing Mountain and the future leader of Eastern Taoism, then this is a very important matter.

But maybe my vision is too short-sighted now. Maybe one day in the future, when I reach a higher position, this will not be a big deal anymore.

However, Cheng Xinzhan can only take one step and look three steps ahead now. He cannot take one step and look three hundred steps ahead for the time being.

After reporting the matter and chatting with the master for a while about family matters, it was already completely dark. Looking towards the east, the spiritual light of Mount Emei became more and more dazzling in the night, like a palace in the sky above the clouds.

After looking for a while, Cheng Xinzhan calmed his mind and continued his practice.

He sat upright on the balcony, bathing in the moonlight, his mind settling into the Purple Palace.

Ever since the robbery of thunder, the aura of his Purple Palace has become very different. In the small inner world, it is located at the highest point in the sky, its color is like purple clouds hanging from the sky, and its shape is a ten-story, twelve-sided jade palace.

This is the residence of the three souls and seven spirits. His consciousness came to the highest level and attached to the Shuangling Yuanshen. There were many golden tablets and jade books piled here, which were all the embodiment of his practice code memory so that he could review it often. There were golden words and jade traces that turned into golden lotus and jade swallows flying out of the books, circling and dancing in the purple palace.

In addition, he now has three treasures of the Purple Palace placed in the Purple Palace. The first one is the "Crimson Purple Life-Replacing Mirror", which is placed on the top of the Purple Palace. It is a protective treasure.

The second item is the "Heavenly Sound Bell", also known as the "Awakening Bell", a treasure bestowed upon Cheng Xinzhan when he became the Master of the Ten Thousand Dharmas Sutra. He placed it in the ninth floor of the Purple Palace where the spirit of Youjing resides. It can eliminate the five obstacles of arrogance, drowsiness, suspicion, jealousy, distraction and obsession, and is an auxiliary treasure.

The third item is the "Moon Ring that Shines in the Dark", which is the moon ring that Beiyin asked Wen Sukong to pass on to him. It is an ancient treasure. It is not only the carrier of an ancient spell, but the jade ring itself is also a treasure of the Purple Palace. When the jade ring condenses, it becomes jade, and when it disperses, it turns into the "Taiyin Soul-Slaying Divine Light", which is an extremely rare offensive treasure.

The Taiyin spell recorded in this treasure is called "Taishang Changye Jiuyou Yinfu Yukui Mingzhen Curse". This spell is very obscure and uses ancient moon worship language. Even with Cheng Xinzhan's talent in spells, it is very difficult to understand it. After two years in hand, he has only deciphered two words of the spell.

The jade ring is now held in the hand of Shuang Ling's soul. At this moment, the moon is bright. Cheng Xinzhan follows the method of refining magic weapons taught by his master. He makes hand gestures to draw the moonlight from the moon into his body, shining directly on the purple palace and falling on the bright moon ring.

The moonlight was drawn by Shuang Ling's soul and condensed into a shining silver rune, which was imprinted on the bright moon ring. Then, the jade ring was dispersed into thousands of flowing silver threads, floating slowly in the purple palace, like the Milky Way.

But this stunning and gorgeous thing is the "Taiyin Soul-Slaying Divine Light" that can destroy the soul and spirit without form.

After the jade ring disintegrated, spots of light appeared one after another. These spots of light had special shapes, like the pictographs of star officials, some shaped like the spoon of the Big Dipper, some shaped like the heart of the Antares, and some shaped like the bird of the Winged Constellation.

But in fact, these star pictograms are all the strokes of the Chinese character "Zhu". If you want to get the complete word "Zhu", you must first understand the meaning of these strokes, and then restore the word "Zhu" according to the arrangement of stars and the meaning of the strokes. This is extremely difficult.

In fact, his uncle from Beiyin also thought about deciphering the spell after getting it, but he gave up soon. This is not to say that Chen Suxing's talent is poor, but because he has been in the devil's cave for a long time, his mind is dirty, his mind is no longer clear, and there are too many things to think about in the devil's cave, which makes it impossible for him to calm down and study.

Cheng Xinzhan was comprehending the spell, and time soon came to the hour of Chou. At this time, a gray cloud floated in from somewhere, blocking the bright moon. Without the moon's illumination, the jade ring in Cheng Xinzhan's purple palace immediately turned into its original shape, and thousands of flowing silver threads merged into one, also covering up all the strokes of the spell.

This is because Cheng Xinzhan has not yet comprehended all the words of the spell, which means that he has not completely refined the treasure. Currently, he can only use the moonlight to unlock the treasure, and has not yet been able to do what he wants.

Cheng Xinzhan opened his eyes and looked towards the position of the Moon. There was a gray cloud there that completely blocked the crescent moon. Under the moonlight, the gray cloud appeared an eerie bright lead color.

Cheng Xinzhan frowned. Because he wanted to break the Taiyin spell, he had been looking for moonlight at night for the past two years. He could clearly notice that the bright moon was blocked by leaden clouds more and more recently. Moreover, it seemed to happen at the hour of Chou.

This is not a good sign.

This phase of the moon is recorded in the Qing Xie Hua Sheng Jing, which is called: "At the hour of Chou, the moon is hidden in the leaden clouds."

The book says that this is a sign of "the moon is covered in dust, and the evil spirits seize the pivot", which means that wars will break out and plagues will spread. The book also says that if you encounter this kind of celestial phenomenon, it is best not to raise a corpse, otherwise the corpse will be overwhelmed by the plague and easily turn into a demon.

Cheng Xinzhan sighed secretly. This time, there were many precursors to the demonic disaster, and they were extremely fierce. He didn't know what kind of killing calamity it would evolve into. When the time came, who would be the withered bones, and who would be the successful general?

"Dang~"

In the Purple Palace, Youjing Yuanshen rang the awakening bell, which dispelled Cheng Xinzhan's scattered thoughts. He gathered his mind again, and Shuangling Yuanshen picked up another secret book that he had not yet completed practicing.

"Baopuzi".

It is one of the supreme classics of Sanqing Mountain, and the magnificent immortal scripture left by the founder of the sect, Ge Hongxianweng.

Before Cheng Xinzhan went out this time, the head monk Ji Hehe used the magical power of "The Enlightenment" to project the Immortal Scripture from his own purple palace into Cheng Xinzhan's purple palace, and then used another encryption talisman to cover it up, so outsiders would definitely not be able to see it. Even great monks would not be able to find any trace of the Immortal Scripture with their magical power of searching souls or the method of possessing another body.

There are five chapters in Baopuzi, which respectively record the five ways of Jindan, Fuzhao, Shijie, Qimen, and Zhanyan. What Ji Hehe passed on to Cheng Xinzhan this time was just the Zhanyan technique which ranked last among the five chapters, called,
"Migratory birds predict the weather."

Ji Hehe believes that the general situation of the world is about to change, and the flow of inspiration is becoming increasingly unpredictable. At this time, he should not only strengthen his own practice, but also pay attention to the changes in the general situation of the world, and know how to judge fortune and misfortune based on the general situation of heaven and earth.

But in the final analysis, this is still a way of preservation, and it is also the care and concern of the sect leader for him.

This immortal book is equally obscure and difficult to understand. The book of divination begins with the following words:

"There are six kinds of qi in the sky and five elements on the earth. Wind is the breath of heaven and earth; birds are the mysterious messengers of yin and yang. If there is a change of spirit, the wind will turn into the shape of a bird of prey, and looking at it can predict military disasters, good or bad luck."

This means that when the spiritual atmosphere between heaven and earth changes, it will be reflected in the wind, and the wind will turn into the shape of a bird. By observing the shape of the wind bird, one can predict things that have not yet happened, especially military disasters and good or bad fortune.

The immortal called this technique "wind bird divination", and believed that the flying and singing of the wind birds, their rise and fall, and every move all corresponded to military strategies and the weather.

The book also records many forms of wind birds and the military disasters they foretell. The explanations of the formation of wind birds are both detailed and obscure.

Moreover, this secret book is said to summarize the methods of divination, but it does not only talk about divination, but involves many aspects.

When talking about the flow of spiritual energy between heaven and earth, the subject often changes to the circulation of the microcosm in the human body.

According to the book, the circulation of qi, spiritual energy and magic power in the human body can also be seen in the wind. Bird shapes can also be seen in the wind, and the problems in spiritual practice can be seen from the bird shapes.

At this point, the magical bird shape is linked to the human body's pulse, and the conversation turns to Taoist medicine, the five internal organs, the hundred orifices of the body, and the rotation of yin and yang.

When it comes to the hundreds of orifices of the meridians and the advance and retreat of yin and yang, we will also talk about the deployment of troops and military strategies, which is simply dizzying and makes one dizzy.

As the founder of Sanqing Mountain and the founder of the Wanfa School, Patriarch Ge Hong learned a lot in his life, including external alchemy, internal alchemy, meditation, guiding, body refining, medical prescriptions, health preservation, talismans, fasting and offering sacrifices, rituals, astronomy, numerology, divination, escape armor, prophecies, military strategies, secrets, battle formations, spells, writings, and so on. He was praised by later generations as:
"It encompasses the mysteries of the Nine Truths and demonstrates the subtleties of the Eight Visions. It is the best in the Daoist world."

One can imagine the vast and unrestrained writing style and the all-encompassing content of a comprehensive work written by such a person.

Cheng Xinzhan didn't know what others felt when reading it, but in his opinion, it was even more confusing to interpret than the Taiyin Spell.

It is difficult to understand the words in "Taiyin Mantra", and one has to piece together the words based on one's understanding of Taiyin's meaning and the constellations. As for "Migratory Bird Divination", one can recognize every word in it, but cannot understand it at all when they are put together.

Cheng Xinzhan had just obtained this secret book of immortality, and it was now the most brain-racking time for him.

----

Cheng Xinzhan looked around in confusion, unaware of the passage of time, until he heard a rooster crowing in his mind, and then he realized that the sky in the east was already turning pale.

He put down the classics and began to absorb air. Just as he finished absorbing the purple, Bai Sanren came and took out a pile of books from the cave stone. He said he wanted to help Cheng Xinzhan write the Bashu and Xikang chapters of the Book of the Earth.

Cheng Xinzhan was naturally very happy, and told him that he had given his book a nickname, "Banana Leaf Collection". After listening to it, Li Baisanren nodded repeatedly and said that it was elegant and interesting.

When the two were chatting and Cheng Xinzhan mentioned the three young men, he learned from Li Baisanren that they did not live in Yanhuai Mountain. They usually practiced in Shu, but often made appointments to come to Yanhuai Mountain to drink.

In the following period, Cheng Xinzhan lived a very fulfilling life. He edited books with Lie Baisanren during the day, and had a drink from time to time. Under the guise of editing books, he openly learned about the topography and topography of Shuzhong and the Taoist sects.

At night, he practiced "Taiyin Mantra" and "Migratory Bird Divination" alone.

After two months, he felt that he had made some progress in the two Taoist arts, but he also felt that Li Baisanren came less and less frequently, brought fewer and fewer geography records, and stayed shorter and shorter each time. He didn't know why.

On this day, a cool breeze blew, and the autumn wind blew the white dragon flag. The ice and snow white dragon on the top of the mountain was more majestic than in summer.

It had been ten days since Li Baisanren came. Cheng Xinzhan was suspicious and took the initiative to go to the cave of this drinking buddy to look for him.

This time he went, he came back empty-handed.

When I went to the caves of Huqing Sanren and Mingting Sanren, there was no one at home either.

Weren’t they supposed to be hermits? Why did they all run away and haven’t come back for dozens of days?

Could it be that they went to visit friends in another mountain together?
Cheng Xinzhan felt the chill of autumn wind. He didn't know if it was because he had gained some insights into the art of practicing "Migratory Bird Divination" recently, but he could actually smell a hint of murderous aura in the interaction between heaven and man. He suddenly felt that things were not that simple.

Well then, let’s use bird divination to see if the fortune of Di Baisanren is good or bad, predict his whereabouts and return date, and also test whether bird divination is really as magical as described in the books.
