Chapter 235: Taibai Jinxing is filled with righteous indignation
Chapter 235: Taibai Jinxing is filled with righteous indignation
He took a step forward and stepped onto the golden stairs. Under Wen Rui's expectant gaze, the stairs were crushed to pieces by his foot.
Seeing this, Wen Rui's newly-raised glimmer of hope was shattered. The system's authority overwrote the highest authority in the current world.
Even the Bodhisattva’s great salvation technique cannot free his soul from hell.
He thought about it for a moment and felt that it made sense.
For five hundred years, his soul has been jumping back and forth between hell and the human world. In the King of Hell's Book of Life and Death, a name flashes periodically. How could it flash for five hundred years without anyone knowing?
If even the King of Hell, who can be bullied by monkeys, is not very powerful, how can the powerful Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva pretend to be deaf and dumb?
How could Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva not know that he has the help of the divine beast Di Ting?
But after so many years, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva has not reacted at all, which means that either the system has concealed the information, or has forced Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva to shut up through some means.
Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, who sits in hell and has greater merits and vows than ordinary Buddhas, was completely subdued by the system. How could a third-rate Bodhisattva like Great Joy Bodhisattva, who only makes money through shady means, break through the system restrictions?
Sighing secretly, Wen Rui could only go along with the situation and recite a verse with pride:
"It is not my wish to become a Buddha. I have trampled the steps to rebirth. I am a lonely wild goose in Jiejiao, and will always be a resident of hell!"
After saying this, he lay flat in the magma pool, letting the hellfire burn his spirit body. Even as the flames burned his body, his smile grew wider, and finally he looked up to the sky and laughed: "Ahahahaha, Long-eared Dingguang Immortal, I'll show you what true determination is! What can Bodhisattvas and Buddhas do to me? My heart is at peace, and hell is just like my home!"
It doesn't look like suffering in a magma pool at all. It's more comfortable than soaking in a hot spring!
The salvation failed and the Bodhisattva of Joy stood there in a daze.
Hell is ruled by Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and is the home of Western religion. It is a piece of cake to rescue a soul from hell.
There is no need even for the Bodhisattva to take action; a high monk who has attained the Arhat stage can do it.
The gate to rebirth had clearly been summoned in hell, and the golden steps to salvation had been laid out to Wen Rui's feet, so how could they be crushed by just one foot?
I thought that Wen Rui, after entering the Dharma Realm Mandala, was like a mournful bird in a cage and a trapped beast in a trap. I only needed to spend countless years and put in a lot of effort to "persuade" him to change his mind.
I never thought he had such a strong character. I don't know what secret method he used to die to show his will, and his soul fell straight into the hell.
Burned by the fire of karma, but never wavering.
The comparison immediately made the apostate Chang'er Dingguangxian feel ashamed.
No matter what his original intention was for betraying the religion, he has betrayed it. Compared with Wen Rui's behavior, even if he says it in a very exaggerated way, he is still a treacherous villain.
Moreover, Wen Rui had previously refuted his excuses for his apostasy and overturned his so-called reason of "developing bodhi mind to save all living beings and avoid the destruction of the three realms."
The cruelest way to threaten someone is to threaten him with death. Now Wen Rui is dead.
The cruelest way to threaten a soul is to send it to the hell of endless suffering. Now Wen Rui's soul took the initiative to go to the hell of endless suffering and lie down.
In a sense, he was invincible.
No matter how many gods and Buddhas there are in heaven or on earth, no one can change his free will.
Just as he said, even if Buddha came, he wouldn't be able to do anything to him.
After all, even the Buddha cannot save people.
As soon as the thought loosened, the Dharmadhatu Mandala could no longer be maintained. After the scene changed, it returned to the back hall of the Joyful Zen Temple.
In the hall, Wen Rui's body was clearly visible. He died peacefully with a smile on his lips, showing that he was in a peaceful state of mind and ready to face death at the moment before his death.
The statue of Great Joyful Bodhisattva enshrined in the main hall made a crisp sound and a crack appeared on the head of the statue.
The Bodhicitta was shaken and the golden body was broken.
The Bodhisattva of Joy had already transformed back into his original form as an old monk. He stared at the corpse and sighed dejectedly, "Amitabha, once I die, all thoughts will be extinguished, and everything will be over!"
The formation protecting the Joyful Zen Temple was also lifted, and the golden barrier disintegrated, turning into dust all over the sky. When the formation was lifted, the immortals on the Golden Spirit immediately noticed it, and Taibai Jinxing smiled and said, "It seems that Brother Wen has completed the task for me. Look, the Great Joyful Bodhisattva is no longer resisting."
He rode on a auspicious cloud, with his belly bulging and his official authority held high, like a victorious general, he descended from the Golden Spirit and flew towards the Joyful Zen Temple.
Guanyin Bodhisattva calculated with her fingers, but her face suddenly changed. She quickly raised the lotus platform and followed Taibai Jinxing.
An immortal and a bodhisattva landed at the door of the side hall, walked into the side hall, and saw Wen Rui lying on the ground at a glance.
"Eh?" Taibai Jinxing was stunned and said, "Brother Wen, you are really brave. How can you sleep here peacefully after you have just finished your work?"
Guanyin Bodhisattva took two steps at a time and came straight to the dejectedly sitting Great Joy Bodhisattva and asked, "Brother, what did you do? Why did Wen Rui die?"
"died?"
Taibai Jinxing, who was listening carefully, was horrified and shouted at the top of his voice: "How dare you, you evil monk, to murder the special envoy who delivered the will of heaven!"
He looked intently at Wen Rui who was lying peacefully on the ground, and after a quick look he confirmed that the body in front of him was one that was deader than dead.
He quickly calculated with his fingers. It would have been fine if he hadn't calculated it. But after he did, Taibai Jinxing flew into a rage and roared, "Well, you actually sent his soul to the eighteenth level of hell to suffer! He has such great merits, what kind of magic did you use to dare to disrupt the reincarnation path and force him into hell?"
Bodhisattva Guanyin was speechless for a moment, narrowed his eyes and looked at the Bodhisattva of Joy with an unhappy expression: "Brother, why do you keep making mistakes? Even after so many years of practicing in front of the Buddha, you still can't get rid of the anger in your heart?"
The Bodhisattva of Joy was speechless and said with a bitter face: "I did not kill Wen Rui, he committed suicide!"
"hehe!"
Before Avalokitesvara could speak, Taibai Jinxing interrupted, "Why would he commit suicide for no reason? Wasn't it because you forced him to do so? Avalokitesvara, you can't escape this karma. If you hadn't brazenly interfered in my heavenly affairs and asked Wen Rui to personally deliver the imperial edict, he wouldn't have died."
Taibai Jinxing glanced at Guanyin Bodhisattva and asked, "Great Master Guanyin, monks do not tell lies. Before you sent Brother Wen into this dangerous place, you promised him that you would save him when he was in danger."
After that, he pointed at Wen Rui's body and said, "Now that he's in this state, why don't you save him?"
He was really angry, and turned to scold the Great Joy Bodhisattva, "Who gave you the courage, Tathagata? Aren't you afraid of being blamed by the Jade Emperor? Aren't you afraid of being held accountable by Dou Mu Yuan Jun Niang Niang and Wen Tian Zun?"
"I think you Western religions really don't take the gods in heaven seriously. If you two don't fight, I'm afraid you won't be able to tell the difference between the primary and the secondary, the superior and the inferior!"
"The Heavenly Court reserves all rights to retaliate equally. All the bad consequences and the resulting killing disasters will be borne by you alone!"
It’s not Taibai Jinxing’s fault that he was so furious. Although Wen Rui’s death could be blamed on the two Bodhisattvas of the Western Religion, he, as one of the persons in charge, also got a lot of blame.
If it weren't for his tacit consent, why would Wen Rui, an ordinary man who seemed to have nothing to do with this matter, convey his order on his behalf?
Isn't this equivalent to dying for him?
Even if the Jade Emperor dealt with it impartially and did not punish him.
Will Dou Mu Yuan Jun and Wen Tian Zun secretly give him trouble? Will they settle the score later? Is it possible that he will be sentenced to death just because he stepped into Zhongtian Doufu with his left foot...
It’s hard to say!
In order to get rid of the suspicion of killing Wen Rui due to negligence and to gain the forgiveness of Dou Mu Yuanjun and Wen Tianzun, Taibai Jinxing must seek justice for the tragic death of Wen Rui.
To this end, it would not hesitate to trigger a war between the Western Church and the Heavenly Court!
