Chapter 242 The People I Met

"I've always thought you like women," said the tall man. He was wearing a black shirt, and looked to be in his thirties. The buttons on his shirt were unbuttoned all the way to his chest. His face wasn't very handsome, but his facial features were deep enough to make him look quite manly. However, what he said was quite annoying. "I didn't expect that you don't like women, but little girls."

"Fuck you," Leah cursed, but she gently put Della down with her hands, and considerately placed Della's tearful face towards the inside of the sofa to prevent others from seeing her vulnerability. Then she rushed towards the man who broke into her house, cursing and punching him. "Barrios, I told you that if you break into my house again, I won't be polite."

"I'm just concerned about my colleagues." Kondra Barrios reacted quickly, raising his arm to block Leah's punch. His arm was numb from the shock, and Leah threw another ruthless hook at him. He had no choice but to step back. During this gap, Leah punched him in the stomach. Barrios groaned and fought back and forth with Leah. The more they fought, the more they retreated, and he was beaten outside.

Listening to the sounds of fighting outside, Della tried to calm herself down. She wiped her tears and ran out holding the small gun in her pocket.

The two had been fighting from the third floor to the first floor. Leah, who was nearly 1.8 meters tall, seemed small in front of Barrios, but she was agile and each of her punches was clean, neat and powerful, giving her the upper hand in this fight.

Della watched in amazement. It was the first time she realized how good Leah was at fighting. She had just felt relieved that Leah was not losing, but then she saw Maxine lying on the ground with her messy blonde hair covering her face. Della was startled and ran over in a hurry.

The sound of fighting was still going on in her ears. Della half-helped Maxine up. Maxine was still conscious, but she had no strength in her body. There was a large red palm print on her left cheek, probably from being slapped when trying to stop the intruder.

Leah also caught a glimpse of the red palm print on Maxine's face, and she became even angrier. She kicked Barrios to the ground and cursed even more, "I hate it most when someone hits a woman in front of me!"

She rushed forward and pressed Barrios down to continue beating him. After just two hits, a clear male voice at the door stopped Leah, "Little Leah, you're not done yet."

A group of five or six people came in, led by a young man of about twenty-two or twenty-three. He had an aura of a superior that was not in line with his age, which made his not-so-outstanding facial features look more handsome.

"I was going to come to see you today, but when I heard that you had a little girl here, Condra rushed in without caring," the young man said, as if Leah and Barrios were just two children who didn't get along. He smiled at Della as if apologetically, "Excuse me."

There was no apology in the man's eyes, and Della didn't care. She nodded politely and sneered in her heart.

The person who takes the lead is not necessarily the one who wants to see her the most. The one who doesn't get along with Leah is a good excuse to stir up trouble.

"Tsk." Leah always gave face to the boss, and also to the young boss. She retracted her strength, stood up from Barrios, raised her hand to wipe the injured right face, "Are you going to patrol tonight, Ernie?"

"This time I'll start from your place." Barrios' face turned very dark after being knocked down by the woman he had never looked down upon. The black and blue eyes made his face even darker.

Ernie Piazza nodded with a smile. "Would you like to bring your girlfriend along?"

"How old is she?" Leah said, a little impatiently. "Go to the study?"

"I just happened to be thirsty." Ernie had no objection to this. He looked at Della again, followed Leah through the mess, and led a group of people upstairs.

Della helped Maxine and subconsciously dodged. When the dull sound of the study door closing came, she helped Maxine up and asked, "How do you feel?"

"I'm fine." Maxine said this, but she was completely unable to stand, with half of her body leaning on Della. The red slap marks on her face made her look even more weak and pitiful.

"Let me help you back to your room." Della didn't say much polite words to Maxine. She just helped Maxine walk slowly forward. Leah had introduced to her the day before what each room in the villa was used for. Although she had never been there, she knew where Maxine's room was on the first floor.

"Thank you." Maxine said weakly. She smiled at Della gratefully, and the fake feeling on her face that was usually more serious than Della's finally faded away.

"It's okay." Della helped Maxine into her room. The decoration in the house was nothing special. It was consistent with the decoration style of the villa, mainly in brown and red tones. However, various things in it were exquisite and expensive, and the layout was also very clever. It didn't look like a maid's room at all.

Della glanced at Maxine. She had always felt that this maid was extraordinary. She had wondered if Maxine had some amazing skills. Considering the ruthless attitude of the man who broke in today towards Maxine, she probably had an extraordinary experience.

As for gangs, there are always some strange rules and experiences.

"Don't worry about the rubble outside, Miss Riddle," Maxine saw Della's concentration and thought she was thinking about the mess in the house. "They have knocked over too much stuff. Leah will send someone to clean it up."

"Why don't you think I'm worried about Leah rather than the house?" Della keenly found out the difference between Maxine's concept and that of ordinary people. Most people would only care about people at this time.

Unless she faces the situation from the very beginning, she will only care about the trouble it causes her.

"......" Maxine paused, "I see that the young lady has been very calm the whole time, and Leah did not suffer any loss in the fight just now." As she spoke, her face returned to her usual weak, polite and fake look.

Della curled her lips and didn't ask any further questions. Everyone has different experiences, and there is no point in digging into the details just to satisfy momentary curiosity. "Yes, I think Leah is amazing." She ended the topic.

While talking, Della had been looking at the layout of the room calmly. This was her subconscious habit. When faced with an unfamiliar environment, she always liked to start speculating from various details.

For example, of the four families that we visited during the summer vacation of the first grade, the Mason family looked exquisite, but it was just a pile of expensive things. The Vernon family was similar, but there were also shadows of a warm family in the details (although this warmth had nothing to do with Harry).

The Weasley family's shabby room is also piled up, but it is filled with noisy daily necessities. It can be seen from the house that this is a lively and warm family; Professor Snape's house in Spinner's End gives people the same feeling as him, depressing and simple.

Maxine's room is exquisite but lacks a sense of life. It is estimated that she was a person who was used to being a show-off before she became a maid.

After taking two or three glances to form a general impression, Della lost interest in staying here. There was nothing more tiring than two pretentious people being in the same room. She was about to say goodbye politely and return to her room when she caught a glimpse of the photo frame on Maxine's dressing table.

Looking at the two girls hugging and smiling in the photo from afar, especially the girl next to Maxine, Della frowned. She couldn't help but walk over, grab the photo and look at it carefully.

"What's wrong, Miss Riddle?" Della's action of picking up the photo made Maxine extremely panicked. She leaned on the bed and tried to stand up.

"Who is she?" Della asked, pointing at Ximena, who was exactly as beautiful as in her memory.
