Chapter 246 Amusement Park (1)
"Miss Abbott has confided in me about her past. Fortunately and unfortunately, Voldemort is indeed as arrogant and evil as we suspected. I think as long as we behave in a controlled manner, even some offensive behavior will not be noticed..."
Maggie's message came via a silver letter, which included the task arrangement he had given Trevor, the past he had uncovered about Professor Abate, the process of appeasing Nella, and what he was about to do - he had already obtained his identity, joined the Black Magic Association, and would be taking the wizard level test soon.
Contrary to his poor image of being completely unsympathetic, Maggie's description of Lytia's past was quite pertinent. While presenting him as a calm gentleman, it also greatly took into account Della's reading experience. However, Della keenly saw some other information between his seemingly bland words.
Maggie couldn't wait any longer.
According to the original plan, he had to lie dormant behind the scenes until Voldemort was reborn, so he actually had no need to apply for an identity. However, now he not only has applied for one, but he is also going to take the test. He is probably preparing to appear in a legitimate capacity.
It's understandable. The Triwizard Tournament in the second half of the year has been confirmed to be held. It is a grand event, and Maggie has been silent for too long, so it's normal for her to have some thoughts on it. Even if they have to broach the subject as soon as possible and adjust their plans.
Well...it's probably time to bring up the topic soon. There will be another large gathering of people in Country Y during the summer vacation, so it's better to show up earlier.
Della remembered Leah's words "You should torture them", she curled the corners of her lips, and all the resistance in her heart turned into another indescribable emotion. She was not so entangled anymore, and she still retained her rationality, but she began to want to play with people other than Voldemort.
She finally smiled and embraced the Riddle nature that had always been in her, of course, in a gentle way.
Dong-dong——
"come in."
There were two knocks on the door, and Della followed up with a statement that she could tell it was Leah's habit to knock on the door.
"Are you ready?" Leah opened the door and leaned half way in. She turned her head and made a "go" gesture to Della, who had half turned around in front of the dressing table.
"Let's go," Della stood up, patted the dark green dress Leah bought for her while shopping, and walked to Leah, who was dressed in casual clothes, and affectionately took her arm, "Let's go to the amusement park."
Leah pondered for many days, and finally found inspiration when Elsa complained that her new college boyfriend was too innocent and made no progress after taking her to the amusement park.
She can take Della to those places!
Leah found the right direction. As soon as she said it, Della's interest was aroused. People are naturally curious about things they have never experienced, especially when it seems to be something she has never done and most people have done it to a greater or lesser extent.
The proposal was perfect, except for one thing: it was Leah Abend's first time at an amusement park.
After playing a few games, her wheat-colored face flushed with excitement. She looked more like a child than Della, who stood upright beside her. This was completely different from the image of a mature parent she had imagined for herself before she came.
"Woo-hoo!" Leah waved her hands up and down, cheering enthusiastically for the park staff who were performing hard in doll costumes. She smiled widely, and her eyes quickly swept past the couples and parents with children around her, and then focused on the long queue of roller coasters in the distance. "Let's go there?" She suggested to Della in a high-spirited voice.
"Okay." Della raised her head and pressed down the visor of the sun hat with a butterfly ribbon on her head. She looked at the long line and was not in a hurry. Her voice was also much lighter than usual. It's not that she was excited about coming to the amusement park, but this place was full of laughter and warmth, and everyone would be happier inside.
Like all the other parents holding their children, Leah walked over holding Della's hand. They chatted about the activities they had played and exchanged glances with interesting people walking by. When they got to the point, they looked at each other, then pursed their lips and laughed out through their noses.
With them together, even the annoying queues were over. Leah and Della, who were sitting side by side on the roller coaster, were still chatting, but their eyes were vaguely glancing forward. It could be seen that both of them were a little nervous as it was their first time riding this.
Della's nervousness was not out of fear or excitement. After all, she had flown in the magical world countless times, but this was her first time to enter an amusement park and ride a roller coaster accompanied by her best friend. Her heart couldn't help but pounding, probably because she was nervous.
While everyone was on tenterhooks and holding their breath, the roller coaster began to climb slowly, then stopped at the highest point, evoking one or two uncontrollable screams of fear from the tourists before it officially started, and then suddenly rushed down!
"Ahhh!! Ahhhhhh!!!" Leah's screams blended into the screams that came one after another. The wind blew her face into a deformed state, but it couldn't blow away the happy smile on her face. The smile was even getting bigger. Leah liked the thrill of letting go of everything. She only spared a little thought for other things - next time I have to try skydiving and bungee jumping.
Della, who was sitting next to her, didn't scream, but her eyes suddenly widened, her heart beat faster, and she held the railing in front of her tightly. Her body showed all the reactions of tension and excitement, and she felt a little happy in her heart, but was too shy to shout.
"It was so cool!" After getting off the roller coaster, Leah felt dizzy like everyone else, but her face was unusually rosy. She stretched her body and turned to Della to ask, "Want to ride it again?"
"And there are those too." Della raised her neck and motioned for Leah to look at the pirate ship and bungee jumping machine on the other side.
"Ah, I forgot about it." The excitement just now drove the strategy guide that Leah had read out of his mind. Seeing the big black ship made him regain some of it. "Let's go and line up."
"Can you fly there?" Leah asked Della curiously on the way.
"Yes, there are many ways." Della paused, realizing that she had never told Leah about Quidditch. She had ignored it because she was not interested in it. "It also depends on flying competitions. I'll tell you when I get back."
"What kind of competition is it?" Leah asked, tilting her head.
"It's a violent and exciting game," Della said honestly.
"I'll ask Maxine to prepare snacks for us to chat all afternoon when I get back." Leah laughed twice.
"I will start perfecting the storybook in my mind from now on." Della said this, but her mind quietly turned in another direction. She thought of "Supernatural", the alchemy book that was full of information to help Muggles experience magic.
Maybe I can take Leah out for some fun.
Then, the realization that "Leah is a Muggle" forced Della to further think about the plan of taking her friends out to play. It's not that she didn't dare to do it. Her current status and strength are enough. Even if she did something contrary, no one would dare to point it out, and they would even spontaneously protect her. She was thinking about the possibility of including Leah.
She didn't need Leah to do anything for her, but she could give her good friend a way out that didn't exist before. Della didn't understand the Mafia, but she understood human nature. She knew early on that Leah wouldn't be able to get away with it unscathed. She would either devote her whole life to the cause, or be killed if she showed any signs of leaving.
Della's idea gradually took shape in her mind. She wanted to give her good friend who always thought of her a new life that was there and could be taken away at any time.
