Chapter 313 My Family Heirloom

"Xiaoyue, what are you doing with this?" Erya looked at the pottery jar curiously. "I remember it was broken when I brought it back last time. Why is it in good condition now?"

The last time Erya returned to the village, Zhang Ran gave her the key to the house and asked her to bring over the pottery jar that was broken by her father under the bed in her room.

Zhang Ran: "You remembered it wrongly. This pottery jar is another one. It's a family heirloom."

"Ah?" Erya was confused. She looked closer at the pottery jar and opened her eyelids to look carefully. This was clearly the pottery jar that was broken before. She was not mistaken.

Zhang Ran turned and entered the warehouse, where a high stool was moved out.

Arya, who heard the noise and saw her behavior, came over curiously, "Xiaoyue, didn't you say that you would buy this stool when there were too many goods and they were piled too high to be reached? Why are you moving it out now?"

Zhang Ran placed the stool at the door, picked up the pottery jar on the front desk and placed it there, then turned around and looked at Erya with a smile, "Isn't it nice to place it here?"

Erya: "..." She walked forward silently and looked left and right. No matter how she looked, she felt something was wrong, but she couldn't tell what was wrong. Out of unconditional trust in Zhang Ran, she finally nodded, "It's fine."

Business in the afternoon was not as good as in the morning, so Zhang Ran closed the store at five o'clock. She went to the warehouse to check the accounts, while Erya checked the accounts at the front desk. They were busy until six o'clock, and then they went out to eat and returned to the store to boil water for washing.

Zhang Ran took out his book and did his homework.

Erya took out the cloth and scissors, and cut new samples according to the design drawing as Zhang Ran had taught her before.

Erya was busy until Zhang Ran put away his books and went to bed, then she stopped.

Even though Luo Youdi and her daughter had moved out temporarily and no one was sleeping in the next room, Zhang Ran and Erya still squeezed on one bed. The two chatted for a while before falling into a deep sleep.

It was still dark outside, but Zhang Ran had already gotten up, brushed his teeth, washed up, and went out.

Two hours later, she returned to the store carrying Erya's favorite dumplings.

"Xiaoyue? Is that you?" Erya, who was washing up in the back, shouted when she heard the noise coming from the front.

"It's me." Zhang Ran opened the shop door and walked to the backyard, holding the dumplings in his hand and placing them on the table.

After washing up, Erya sat at the table, picked up the steamed bun and started eating. Her lips were soon greasy and her eyes were full of happiness.

"Is anyone there?" Someone was talking in front.

Erya stood up anxiously and was pushed down by a hand.

Zhang Ran: "Maybe some guests have arrived. I'll go and entertain them. You continue eating."

"Okay then, you go first, I'll finish eating quickly." Erya quickly stuffed a bite of the steamed bun into her mouth.

"Don't worry, eat slowly." Zhang Ran reached out and patted her arm. "Be careful not to choke if you eat so fast. It's still early. Even if there are not many customers, I can handle it by myself."

Erya nearly choked to death on a mouthful of steamed bun. Her face flushed and she nodded repeatedly, watching Zhang Ran go to the front to entertain the guests.

"Aunties, you're here pretty early." Zhang Ran greeted them with a sweet smile, "Take a look at the clothes you like and pick whatever you like."

The women couldn't stop laughing and quickly started to choose.

The store has added new styles these days, and several women are carefully choosing their own styles.

Just then, three furtive figures appeared at the intersection, hunched over and looking into the store.

"Didn't they say Erya and Luo Youdi were in this store? Why can't I see them?" Old man Gao stretched his neck to look inside, but he couldn't see the daughter-in-law he was looking for. All he saw were a few old women.
