Chapter 325 After the Banquet
It was the first time for Wendy and her friends to attend a gathering of this scale. The people on the other side were all big shots in the navy, so they were somewhat restrained.
But when they saw the admirals and naval heroes fighting and grabbing food like children, they slowly calmed down and started eating and drinking.
And Ain was a little unscrupulous. They were just a few old men and women, but they were very nice to her. She was not afraid! She just stayed in Vic's arms and refused to get down.
When Ian first saw Vic's appearance, she was also stunned. She didn't dare to get close when she saw the lightning striking Vic. Fortunately, Vic stopped practicing before the banquet, and he looked a little like a human being.
Ian then approached Vic tentatively and found that Vic was still the same Vic except for the small ring drum on his back. Then he threw himself into Vic's arms and refused to get down, which made Rebecca very angry. You were quiet and obedient when Vic was not around, but you started to act like a spoiled brat when Vic came back. Are you really a child?
The banquet lasted until very late. The chefs hired by Zhan Guo were almost exhausted. They looked at the people partying as if they saw a few wild beasts. They swore that if Zhan Guo called them again in the future, those who came would be dogs, unless they paid more money. Woof woof woof.
Vic and Rebecca took the sleeping Ian back to the beachside cabin, while Wendy and the others returned to the dormitory in the recruit area. They could still live there, but after today, even if they officially graduated from the elite camp, they might have to live on a warship.
After Vic returned to the cabin, he dug out everything he had buried before. He had used the ores and metals when forging the sword before. Now all that was left was some gold and homemade fruit wine and grain wine.
Although some of it was dug out by Smoker, he buried them separately and not all of them were killed. There are still quite a lot left. He brewed this wine for Shanks, originally to thank Shanks for helping Rebecca.
At the banquet in the evening, Zephyr told him about Shanks and apologized to him. Victor didn't care much about it. As a navy, Zephyr's behavior was naturally correct.
What concerned him was that Shanks' strength had increased so much. He was worthy of being one of the future Four Emperors. His talent was indeed strong. These wines could still be used in some way.
So Wick had to pack all these things up and carry them with him. No one could see them anyway. When he met Shanks in the future, he could have a good fight with him, and then have a drinking fight after the fight. It should be possible for the future Four Emperors to give some face to a navy admiral by becoming the queen.
"Let's go see Tashigi tomorrow! It's been almost half a year since Smoker left the headquarters. There's no one familiar around her, and we don't know how she's doing now. Let's take Ain with us tomorrow, so they can keep each other company and make friends. In the future, we can live together in the headquarters and have someone to look after us!"
After putting everything into the dimensional space, Vic returned to the cabin. Rebecca had not slept yet and had been waiting for Vic. It was obvious that she had a lot to say to him, but the first words Vic said after he came in were to Ian, who was sleeping unconscious on Rebecca's bed.
"We should go and see you. I've missed you so much since I last saw you in a few months. Dashiqi is only a six-year-old girl, and she has no one to rely on. Let's take her to stay at the headquarters for a few days!"
Rebecca's childhood was pretty good. At least her grandmother and Vic were always by her side. Although she had never seen her parents and could only imagine their lives by looking at the remaining photos, she was much happier than Tashigi. However, there were many people in this world who did not live as well as Tashigi. At least Tashigi was lucky because her life was not in danger and she did not have those dark experiences.
"Well! That's fine! Smoker is a big, strong guy, and I'm just a guy. It's impossible for him to be so thoughtful. It's too difficult for him to take care of a little girl. Now he's not in the headquarters, so we should take care of him if we can!"
Vic did not respond to Rebecca's hidden meaning. He knew more than Rebecca. Tashiki's mother was definitely not a simple person. No one knew what the purpose of sending Tashiki to the navy was, but Tashiki herself had done nothing wrong, and Vic would not treat her specially because of her mother's affairs.
Smoker has not gone to Rogue Town to take up a post. He is currently serving as a minor officer on a warship. His status is similar to that of Vic. Both of them can only be regarded as interns of warship captains, and both need to be recognized before they can lead a team independently.
Vic guessed that Smoker might have offended his superior on this warship, and was not only bullied but also given a bad review, so in the end Smoker went to Rogue Town in the East China Sea.
……
Afterwards, Rebecca pulled Vic and talked a lot, pouring out all the thoughts she had been holding back for three months!
Vic let Rebecca lie down with her head on his legs, and he stroked Rebecca's hair while listening to her talk, occasionally saying a few words. Outside the house, the only sound was the chirping of insects that were ignorant of the world. Finally, Rebecca fell asleep in Vic's arms with a smile on her face, with peace and sweetness on her face.
The next morning, Rebecca woke up and found herself back in bed, holding not the Vic in her dream, but the little boy Ian.
Although the little one hadn't woken up yet, her face showed a painful expression, as if she was drowning in a dream, and she was still pushing her canteen hard.
Rebecca then realized that she was too afraid to leave Vic, so she mistook Ian for Vic and hugged him too tightly, almost suffocating Ian.
Rebecca quickly let go of Ian's hand, looked back, and when she found that no one was there, she got up alone. When she came outside the cabin, she saw Vic making breakfast.
The breakfast was rich and varied, but Vic looked a little weird while making breakfast today. He was wearing a navy coat, an apron, and an open hoop drum fluttering behind him. It looked weird no matter how you looked at it.
"Vick! You are already a rear admiral of the Navy Headquarters. Don't do things like cooking in the future. Just leave it to us. There will be chefs there when we get on the warship. You are really not suitable for cooking now. It is totally unsuitable for you!"
Rebecca approached Vic and said that Vic's current look was indeed a bit weird. She thought that the thunder drum on Vic's back could not be taken off, and it was always floating on his back. She was also worried about how Vic would sleep like this? Would he never sleep? But she wanted to sleep!
"Alright! I also think I can't cook for myself anymore. Is Ain still not awake?"
