Chapter 341 The Arrival of Two Magic Schools
Ever since the news of the Triwizard Tournament spread, the atmosphere of the entire Hogwarts has been ignited by this event.
Students gathered in groups in the corridors to discuss and guess who would become the champion of Hogwarts. Even professors who were usually not interested in gossip showed some anticipation for the upcoming event.
"Naughty Mouse" even launched a "Hogwarts Warrior Popularity Ranking", which voted based on the list of adult students and listed the popular candidates who might become warriors.
There is no doubt that Cedric Diggory tops the list, and the Hufflepuff students have high hopes for him.
Following closely behind were senior Gryffindor students such as Angelina Johnson and Lee Jordan.
The Slytherin vote was somewhat scattered, with some nominating seventh-year Montague, and some even setting their sights on Draco Malfoy - even though he was only in his fourth year and was not eligible to register.
"Draco?" Harry pointed at his name while holding a copy of Naughty Mouse, and almost fell off his chair with laughter. "Are they serious?"
"Of course not." Draco looked disdainful as he flipped through the Potions textbook, not bothering to pay attention to the rankings. "Too boring."
Harry was still overjoyed: "You should thank them, at least you made it into the top ten."
"Do you think I care?" Draco raised his head, his eyes full of pride, "Those idiots who only enjoy blind voting don't understand the real selection criteria at all."
Amanta casually glanced at the list and found that her name and Harry's name were not on it. She certainly had no interest in participating, but when she thought of Cedric's name, she still cared a little.
It would be even better if we could ensure that he doesn't compete...
Amanta frowned slightly, thinking about how to make Cedric give up the idea of signing up.
However, these thoughts have to be put aside temporarily before the grand welcome ceremony tonight.
On the evening of October 10th, all Hogwarts students were immersed in an excited atmosphere.
The auditorium had been decorated in advance, and the ceiling was transformed into an orange-red twilight sky, with occasional stars dotting it. All the students gathered in front of the gate in advance, waiting for the arrival of the two school delegations.
"How will they get in?" Harry stood on tiptoe, trying to get a better view of the crowd.
"Beauxbatons likes to make a grand entrance." Draco crossed his arms and glanced critically outside. "I guess it might be a flying carriage or something like that."
Just as he finished speaking, there was a dull rumble suddenly coming from the sky, as if some huge monster was passing through.
Everyone looked up and saw a huge light blue carriage galloping from the distance in the afterglow of the setting sun. The carriage was pulled by twelve tall and mighty Pegasus. Each horse was as white as snow, with huge wings flapping gracefully in the air and golden hooves shining.
"Wow..." Harry opened his mouth wide, "More handsome than the Thestrals."
"That's not necessarily true." Draco snorted, "It's just that Beauxbatons likes the pretentious style."
The carriage landed quickly in front of Hogwarts Castle, the sound of hooves like thunder.
The door opened, and a tall, graceful woman came out first, her figure immediately blocking the light shining into the carriage. She was half a giant's height, with black hair tied up behind her head and a silk robe swaying behind her.
"Olympe Maxime," Draco whispered. "Headmaster of Beauxbatons."
Soon after, more than a dozen students from Beauxbatons came out of the carriage one after another. Their school uniforms were completely different from those of Hogwarts. They were elegant sky blue silk robes, and their steps were full of the unique French romance.
Among them, a silver-haired girl was particularly eye-catching.
She has dazzling silver hair, fair skin, and delicate features, like an elf from a fairy tale. Several Beauxbatons students are surrounding her, and it is obvious that she is highly regarded in the school.
"Who is she?" Harry asked curiously.
"Fleur Delacour," Amanta replied, "Beauxbatons' star student."
Her appearance seemed to have magical power. As soon as she stepped out of the carriage, many boys showed admiring expressions on her.
The appearance of the Beauxbatons students made the whole Hogwarts boil.
"That girl... does she have Veela blood?" some Ravenclaw students whispered.
The Hufflepuff girl looked envious: "How do they walk so gracefully?"
"How contrived," snorted Seamus Finnigan.
On the Slytherin side, several students who considered themselves to be of noble blood looked at the students of Beauxbatons with scrutiny, as if they were evaluating whether their family backgrounds were worthy of their own circle.
However, Beauxbatons' arrival was just the appetizer.
Just as the students were still immersed in the elegance and beauty of Beauxbatons, the water of the Black Lake suddenly churned and the waves rolled, as if a giant beast was about to break out of the water.
Then, a huge black ghost ship emerged from the bottom of the lake, with black sails fluttering and water droplets rolling down the deck, flashing a cold luster.
Several girls gasped in shock.
"This...this Durmstrang is too gloomy, isn't it?" Harry swallowed.
"Drmstrang always likes this tone." Draco raised the corners of his lips, "They like to create a sense of mystery."
More than a dozen students wearing heavy crimson cloaks came down from the boat one after another, with neat steps and steady demeanor. They were tall and had fierce temperaments, and each of them looked like a seasoned fighter.
And the person walking in front.
Tall, handsome, with deep facial features in a unique Eastern European style.
Viktor Krum.
"It's Krum!" Harry exclaimed in a low voice.
Krum raised his head with a slightly wooden smile on his face and walked straight forward, while the students around him were already in an uproar.
"Oh my god, he's coming to Hogwarts!"
"He's a world-class Seeker!"
Amanta didn't feel anything, she just quietly observed the other students at Durmstrang.
Among them, several students had rather cold looks in their eyes. They paid no attention to the welcoming team in front of them and it was obvious that they had no good impression of Hogwarts.
Her eyes passed over them and landed on Julius not far away.
Julius looked at his alma mater seniors with an ambiguous smile on his face.
