Chapter 338 Mission Begins

"Let me treat you. Vic prepared the last banquet and everyone was very happy!" Makino said with a red face as she saw Vic approaching.

"No! I'll treat you. I'll buy Vic some juice. In return, Vic will buy me some meat!" Luffy stood on the stool and looked at Vic excitedly. The little guy was even trying to get something for nothing.

"Luffy! Let me treat him. I have a salary. You can't just ask me for an IOU like this. Makino, serve the meat. Plenty of meat. I want to see how much he can eat!" Vic sat next to Luffy and said with a smile. He had plenty of money, so it would be easy for him to treat the future sun god to some meat.

"Okay! Then it's Vic who'll treat you! Bring on the meat! Bring on the meat..." Luffy knocked on the bar with his knife and fork excitedly. It felt really good to be able to get something for free again.

Vic laughed and joked with Luffy in the bar for a while, and his observation Haki sensed a familiar breath. It was the dog-headed warship returning to Windmill Village.

The warship needs to be repaired and replenished with supplies here. For the old man, it can be said that he kills two birds with one stone. He can visit his grandson and bring income to the windmill village.

But Vic doesn't understand why the navy heroes want to stay in the East China Sea. Is it really just to clean up those small pirates? There are countless big pirates waiting to be caught in the New World, and Vic also wants to show his skills and continue to improve himself.

"Luffy! Let's go, your grandpa is back, let's go find him!" Victor stood up and said to Luffy who was full and satisfied.

"Huh? Is my grandpa back? How did you know? Uh..." Luffy asked in confusion, and then he burped, obviously he had finished eating.

"You'll know later, let's go!" Victor said and walked out, not caring whether Luffy followed him or not.

When Vic arrived at the dock, the Dog-Headed Warship had just docked. Luffy, who was following behind Vic, looked at Vic's back in amazement. This guy was really amazing. He could know in the tavern that his grandfather would be back soon.

After Victor reunited with the old man, he found out that they had destroyed many newly formed pirate groups in the past few days, and they were killed by the old man before they even left the Novice Village.

Vic thinks that the pirates in the East China Sea are too pitiful and their boss is too strong. They can only wait until the old man is gone and then secretly go to the Grand Line. However, the time is too short for them to develop, and they will most likely be destroyed if they go to the Grand Line. This makes Vic sigh that the people of the East China Sea still have a future in the navy!

But privately, Rebecca told Vic that the old man seemed to be looking for something in the East China Sea. He traveled to many places, and being a pirate was just a convenience. As for what he was looking for, the old man didn't say, and they didn't ask. They just followed behind and watched the old man perform the flying cannonballs. They had no chance to take action at all.

This continued for the next month, with the Dog-Headed Warship wandering around the East China Sea and greeting pirates with cannonballs whenever they saw them, except that this time only two people were killed.

Victor also joined in this brutal activity. Because of his proficiency, Victor's shells could be said to hit the target every time. Basically, a few shells could sink the pirate ship.

In this regard, even the old man cannot compare to him. Vic is good at precise strikes, while the old man is good at fire coverage. It can be said that each has its own merits. Anyway, those who are injured are all pirates.

During this month, Vic spent most of his time practicing. With the old man on the warship, he basically didn't need to take any action. He would only move his hands and feet occasionally when he felt like it.

He couldn't even beat the old man now, so what right did he have to slack off? Only after he beat the old man could he sleep all day like Aokiji. However, with Vic's personality, he would not stop practicing even if he could beat the old man, because his physical talent would not allow him to stop.

Occasionally when he returned to Windmill Village, Vic would go to Dadan's bandit den, deliver some prey he had caught along the way, and teach Ace some methods and techniques for physical exercise.

The old man has told him everything, so it is impossible for him to just ignore it. Although the old man can teach himself, there is no conflict. Vic teaches him how to improve his physical fitness, and the old man trains his ability to withstand blows and his ability to respond. The combination of the two is invincible. Vic believes that Ace will achieve greater success in the future.

As for Luffy, Victor had no intention of intervening. As the destined protagonist, he had many teachers and did not need one more. Besides, he was too young now, and it was the time for him to release his nature. All he needed to do was to feed him with meat, which Victor could still do. Luffy was so happy to see Victor now, which meant that his meal ticket had come and he could eat his fill.

One month later, Vic was treating Luffy to meat at the tavern. Rebecca and the others were also there. Since they had no sailing mission today, they all came here to relax.

Just when Victor was happily teasing Luffy, suddenly a marine came running over to report that the old man urgently summoned them to set sail, and everyone had to go because there was a mission.

Vic realized that what the old man was looking for might have appeared. There was no requirement for everyone to go on the previous voyage, so it was okay to stay in the windmill village and wait.

But the instructions this time were different. The old man was going to make a big move. Vic was immediately excited. He had stayed in the East China Sea for too long and he felt his body was almost rusty. The old man hadn't practiced with him during this period. Vic would feel uncomfortable if he didn't get beaten for a day!

Victor immediately left Luffy behind and disappeared on the spot. Rebecca and the others also used the Six-style Razor to quickly leave the tavern. Makino's eyes widened when he saw this scene.

Normally, when Vic and the others were getting along naturally, nothing unusual happened. Only the thunder drum floating behind Vic was somewhat conspicuous. But when a mission came, everything became extraordinary. In an instant, everyone disappeared. It was almost outrageous!

She now realized how strong Victor's group was. They could kill the King of the Sea dozens of times in a minute. Luffy was also shocked. The tavern that was bustling just now was now empty? How did they leave? The meat in his mouth didn't taste so good anymore.

"Old man! What's going on? What's the important task? Even you can't handle it? When did such a person appear in the East China Sea?"

Vic asked a lot of questions in rapid succession. He was really curious about what kind of mission in Donghai required the old man to personally take charge, and why the old man wanted to involve him?

The lineup on the Dog-Headed Warship is able to fight against Big Mom's pirate group. The old man should have no problem beating Charlotte Linlin, and beating Katakuri himself should not be a problem either. Even if Katakuri can foresee the future now, it's useless. He will still be beaten if he can't avoid it. Big Mom's other generals and children are still young and have not reached their prime. They may not be able to beat Rebecca and the others, but they will still have a fight if they meet them.

"Don't ask so many questions. It's just a clue now. It doesn't necessarily mean that he has come!"

Garp said with a serious expression. He was not laughing this time. It was obvious that the opponent was no ordinary person and he deserved Garp's serious preparedness.

However, there are indeed many powerful older men in this sea. Those who have not appeared in the original work or those who were captured by Garp and others before the plot began are not to be underestimated. Vic couldn't guess which one it was.

Except for Vic and Rebecca who like to wander around, the other marines on the Dog-Headed Warship will not go too far away from the warship, so when Rebecca and the others return to the warship, everyone is already there. Garp directly announced the departure. The supplies on the Dog-Headed Warship have been prepared long ago and are ready to set sail at any time.
