Chapter 523: Searching for a Place to Practice
Just when the Holy Land of Mary Joa had finalized the script for Big Bear's future, Big Bear had already brought Vic to an island in the South China Sea. The journey led by Big Bear himself took a very short time, which was completely different from the time required to be flown by him.
"I need a glass of water from that lake. Can you get it for me?" Big Bear said to Vic, pointing to the small lake in front of them.
This is a small lake in the center of the island, surrounded by tall trees. The tops of the trees rustled in the wind, but the entire surface of the lake was like a mirror, without the slightest ripple, and the wind from the sky did not seem to blow down.
Vic didn't know what special power this island had, but since Big Bear didn't tell him, he didn't ask. He thought Big Bear was thirsty and wanted to drink water.
After Vic walked out of the shallow bear paw print, he pulled out a calf-thick branch that Alan had cut from the big tree next to him. He cut it again, leaving only a 20-centimeter-long piece of wood. Then he used a knife to hollow it out and made a wooden water cup. This kind of tree that Vic had never seen before was so hard that it was beyond his imagination!
Victor looked at the cup in his hand for a few seconds, walked to the lake and started scooping water. However, his face changed as soon as the thick-walled wooden cup touched the water!
There was something wrong with the water. The resistance against which the cup faced entering the water was too great. Finally, the cup did enter the water under Vic's effort, but when he tried to get out of the water after scooping the water, Vic felt a huge downward force. The water seemed to have taken root, and the wooden cup shattered in an instant. All the water flowed back into the lake without any ripples.
Vic turned around and looked at Big Bear deeply. Big Bear didn't say anything. Vic turned around and looked at the lake in front of him. This small lake was the place with special powers.
Vic reached into the elemental chest and took out a small piece of metal, then under the thunder metallurgy, it turned into a metal cup with a handle. He once again pressed the cup into the lake.
This time he didn't scoop more, just half a cup of water. However, the weight of this half cup of water was no less than a mountain. Vic slowly raised his hand to let the metal cup leave the lake. It really felt like he was holding a mountain in his hand!
"I call it heavy water. I discovered it by chance while traveling. A drop of water in this lake weighs more than a ton. I wonder if it counts as the special power you mentioned."
Just as Vic stood up and looked at the water cup, Big Bear's gentle voice sounded behind him. Big Bear was not really thirsty, but wanted Vic to see the special water in the lake.
"Forget it! Of course it does!"
Vic agreed and poured the water in the cup back into the lake, then put away the cup and began to take off his clothes. His hand had just touched the heavy water in the lake, and he did not feel the powerlessness that sea water brought.
That means he can practice in this kind of water. One drop of water weighs more than one ton. So what is the difference between practicing in this kind of water with huge pressure and practicing on the bottom of the sea?
If there is a reason, it is that the lake is so deep that the pressure at the deepest point may be much greater than the pressure at the deepest bottom of the sea. As for how much greater it is, it depends on how deep the lake is!
This place can definitely help Vic speed up his practice of Armament Haki, and it has the same effect as the invisible force exerted by the mysterious man in black robe, which can completely wrap and squeeze Vic in the middle.
Victor stripped down to his underpants, revealing his solid and well-proportioned muscles, and walked slowly into the lake.
As soon as his feet entered the water, it felt like a mountain was pressing down on them, but with Vic's body and strength, he could still bear it. By the time his feet were completely on the solid ground, his entire calf was half submerged, and he felt a hard and smooth touch on the soles of his feet.
The bottom of this lake carries countless heavy water. If the material was not good, it would have collapsed long ago. The existence of the small lake means that the bottom of the lake has long been as hard as iron. As for how thick it is, Vic can't tell, but existence is reasonable. As long as it can help him practice, he no longer thinks about anything else. The pressure on his calves is getting greater and greater.
As Vic's body went deeper and deeper into the water, he found that the bottom of the lake was like a big pot. The further he walked forward, the deeper the water became. He could no longer rely on his physical strength to withstand the powerful pressure. Vic could only release his armament color to wrap his entire body in it.
After he was completely submerged in the water, he found that this heavy water could really help him cultivate his domineering power. It was similar to the invisible power used by the man in black robes, and both could achieve the same purpose of cultivation. The man in black robes would not help you cultivate, but this was a good place with no owner. It was an uninhabited island, and Vic could come here to cultivate his domineering power whenever he had time.
"Anywhere else?"
Vic didn't soak in the water for too long, just knowing that it worked. He came out of the water quickly without a drop of water on his body. It was not surprising, because the skin and hair could not retain such heavy water, and it all dripped back into the lake. After Vic confirmed the location of the island on the map, he said to Big Bear.
"Yes!" Big Bear didn't waste any words. Although he didn't know why Vic was looking for these places, he was willing to help. After Vic put on his clothes, he repeated the same trick and the two of them disappeared out of thin air.
Afterwards, Big Bear took Vic to a deserted island in the North Sea. The wind over the island was so strong that Vic felt like his hair was about to fall off his scalp.
This island is quite distinctive. The middle of the circular island is completely occupied by tall and jagged rocks. The tops of the mountains are covered with snow, and there is a passage in the middle of the rocks that runs across the north and south of the island.
There is only a little remaining flat land in front of the entrance, and the passage in the middle of the rock has a large opening on one side and a small opening on the other. The side with the large entrance occupies the entire northern stone mountain. From the overall perspective, it looks like a huge horn running across the rocks.
Big Bear took Vic to the flat land on the south side of the island. The entrance to the passage there was a small one. Before Vic got close to the passage, he knew why Big Bear brought him here.
The open space in front of the passage was extremely smooth and made of hard rocks. A crazy whistling sound came from the passage. The special power on this island was the wind!
The cold north wind enters from the large hole on the north side of the island, and passes through smaller and smaller channels, where the wind becomes stronger and stronger as it is squeezed together.
When the wind blew out from the small hole in the south, the wind force was no longer comparable to that of a hurricane. It was like a giant stamping machine. When Vic came to the small passage that was more than one person tall, he flew out instantly. He felt like he was hit by the old man's domineering fist!
This passage is very long, which means that the wind becomes stronger and stronger from the big hole to the small hole. If you cannot block the force of the air outlet, you can enter from the big hole on the other side and slowly feel the strength of the wind.
Gradually find a spot where you can practice without worrying about your life, and after you have adapted and can withstand it, gradually advance towards the small wind vent. Just like Vic can practice directly at the air outlet, but Rebecca and the others can't, then you can start to adapt slowly from the other side!
Afterwards, Big Bear took Vic to several other islands. Because they were all special islands, there were no ordinary people living on them.
There are extremely cold islands with temperatures of dozens of degrees below zero, scorching hot places with temperatures so high that they can melt steel, poison pools where a single drop of the temperature can kill an entire country, and mountains of seastone where no grass grows...
These islands can help Vic's practice to some extent, but the help varies. Vic has a scale in his mind, but he has noted down the locations of these islands, as they may be useful in the future.
