Chapter 577 Extra 1
It was the first time in her life that eight-year-old Lily went on a long journey with her parents and sister. She was very happy even though she was taking the cheapest and slowest interstellar ferry.
The little girl didn't know that before their planet joined the Star Empire and still belonged to the Old Federation, the cost of interstellar travel was completely unaffordable for ordinary working-class families like theirs.
She only knew that the big ship they were on would dock on Mars, where they would transfer to the Aquamarine Star cruise ship to fly to the Earth's ecological reserve for a visit, and then they would return to Mars to play in the Martian Happy World for a whole week.
She has been looking forward to it all semester!
This itinerary was decided after Lily's sister Nora spent a long time planning. Because their budget was limited, in order to save the family a day's hotel expenses, she arranged the visit to the Earth Ecological Reserve right after the interstellar ferry.
Generally speaking, this is not a problem. Although the interstellar ferry moves slowly, its punctuality rate is still very high.
Unfortunately, there are exceptions to everything.
Their ferry stayed at the starport of Proxima b for one more day in order to avoid the sudden super flare storm from Proxima Centauri. As a result, they were unable to catch the cruise ship that they had been trying to get tickets for for a long time, which was bound for the Earth's ecological protection area.
Imperial Interstellar Shipping quickly compensated for the delay, but it was no longer possible for them to buy a ticket on the Aquamarine Star within seven days.
The family arrived at the Paradise Hotel where they had booked a room. Nora and her father went to queue up to check in, while her mother took little Lily to the lobby and sat down on the double crescent-shaped sofa.
Little Lili lowered her head and touched the stuffed earth doll hanging on her schoolbag. In her big light blue eyes, there was a sense of loss that she couldn't hide at her age.
The lobby was bustling with tourists. My mother saw a spherical service robot spinning in front of the row of sofas behind them, so she waved to it.
The robot’s intelligence level might not be very high. It was stunned for a long time before turning to their side.
"Are you calling me?" the robot asked confusedly.
Little Lili's mother nodded and said, "I just saw some kids holding ice cream. Can you help us get some too?"
The robot was silent for another two seconds, and the lady said, "Thank you, little cutie."
Little Lili was also attracted by it. She let go of the doll with her soft little hands and touched the cool and smooth shell of the robot.
The robot's upper hemisphere turned and said hesitantly: "I am not..."
On the sofa behind the mother and daughter, a woman wearing large sunglasses raised her head from the light screen and nodded slightly. The robot quickly changed the topic and said, "I'm not a little cutie, I'm a big cutie. I'll go now."
The mother finally realized what was happening and her face turned red. She said to the woman sheepishly, "I'm sorry, I didn't know it was your personal robot. I thought it was a hotel robot."
The woman said nonchalantly, "What's the big deal? I just found something for it to do. You don't know how long it has been circling there. It's making me dizzy."
Little Lili twisted her body. “My eyes are dizzy,” she repeated curiously.
Her mother also smiled and breathed a sigh of relief.
Soon, the robot rolled back carrying a small tray. On the tray was a foot-long transparent glass boat, on which were nine fist-sized ice cream balls in the shape of the sun and eight planets.
The earth stands trembling at the highest point.
This is the most luxurious ice cream boat sold at the hotel’s dessert station, and it attracted the attention of almost all the children along the way.
