Chapter 671: Fantasy World: Lin Xiao's Counterattack Journey
Lin Xiao stood alone in the vast, wind-swept desert. The flying yellow sand was like a group of demons with bared fangs and claws, whipping her body crazily. Her face was scratched by the wind and sand, and her brows were furrowed into a deep "chuan" shape. She kept cursing, "This damned place is simply hell on earth! God, are you deliberately making fun of me?"
At this moment, the system's cold and emotionless voice suddenly rang in her mind: "Dear, this is a place you must pass through in your destiny. Only by crossing this desert can you reach the other side full of hope."
Lin Xiao waved his fists at the sky angrily and yelled hysterically: "What a rotten fate! What a rotten system! You only know how to give me these deadly problems! I think you are deliberately trying to drive me crazy!"
She raised her heavy feet with difficulty, and each step sank deeply into the soft sand, as if she was being held tightly by an invisible hand.
"Oh, I really can't walk anymore! My legs feel like they're filled with lead!" Lin Xiao slumped down on the ground, gasping for breath, sweat and dust all over her face.
Suddenly, a low and terrifying roar rolled in from the distance, as if it was a roar coming from the depths of hell.
Lin Xiao was so frightened that he trembled all over and jumped up from the ground, his eyes wide open, full of fear: "What the hell? There are monsters in this damn place? They are trying to kill me!"
A huge sand scorpion as big as a hill slowly emerged from behind the sand dune. Its extremely sharp pincers flashed a chilling light, and its thick tail was raised high, ready to launch a fatal attack at any time.
Lin Xiao's face turned pale instantly, without a trace of blood, and her legs kept shaking. She turned around and ran subconsciously, shouting at the top of her lungs: "Help! Someone save me! This monster is going to eat me alive!"
At this critical moment, a figure descended from the sky like lightning. It was Mo Yu, who was tall and straight, heroic, holding a shining sword, like a god of war.
Mo Yu looked determined and shouted loudly: "Don't be afraid, little girl! I'm here!"
In a flash, he rushed towards the ferocious sand scorpion and started a thrilling life-and-death battle with it.
Lin Xiao hid behind a sand dune nearby, half of his head poked out, his heart almost jumping out of his throat with nervousness, and he kept muttering: "Mo Yu, you must win! If you lose, we're both done!"
Mo Yu's swordsmanship was sharp and his moves were unpredictable. Sometimes he jumped high up, pointing his sword at the sky, like a dragon emerging from the sea; sometimes he leaned over and stabbed quickly, as fast as lightning, like a tiger descending from the mountain.
After a few moves, the originally arrogant sand scorpion was beaten back step by step, with wounds of various sizes all over its body.
"Wow, Mo Yu, you are so handsome! You are simply my hero!" Lin Xiao was so excited that he danced with joy on his face after surviving a disaster.
Mo Yu panted slightly, with a confident smile on his face, and said, "Let's go, little girl, there are more unknown challenges waiting for us ahead."
Lin Xiao nodded vigorously, his eyes full of determination and courage, and followed Mo Yu, continuing on this journey full of dangers and unknowns step by step.
They walked along the winding sand dunes, the scorching sun above their heads like a huge furnace, scorching them mercilessly. Lin Xiao's lips were cracked due to lack of water. She licked her lips and felt the bitter taste of sand in her mouth.
"Mo Yu, how long will this end? I feel like I'm about to be roasted into jerky." Lin Xiao said weakly.
Mo Yu glanced at her and encouraged her, "Hold on, little girl. I believe we can get out of this."
Just then, a gust of wind blew past, blowing up a sky full of dust, forming a huge sandstorm that swept towards them.
"Oh no, it's a sandstorm!" Mo Yu's face changed drastically, and he grabbed Lin Xiao, "Hurry and find a place to hide!"
They looked around and found a huge rock not far away. They ran towards the rock desperately.
The sandstorm was getting closer and closer, making a deafening roar, as if it was going to swallow up the entire world.
"Hurry up! Faster!" Lin Xiao's heart was in his throat and he felt like his legs were out of control.
Finally, just before the sandstorm was about to swallow them, they hid behind the rocks.
"Phew...that was a close call!" Lin Xiao gasped for breath and said with lingering fear.
Mo Yu patted the dust off his body and said, "This is just a small episode. We still have to move on."
They came out from behind the rock and continued to trudge forward in the desert.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, Lin Xiao suddenly felt his feet go soft and he sank into a deep pit of quicksand.
"Ah! Help! Mo Yu!" Lin Xiao screamed in horror, struggling with his hands.
Mo Yu rushed over without hesitation and stretched out his hand to try to grab Lin Xiao.
"Don't move, little girl! I will pull you up!" Mo Yu shouted loudly.
After some effort, Mo Yu finally pulled Lin Xiao out of the quicksand pit.
"Oh, I was so scared! I thought I was going to be buried in this damn place." Lin Xiao collapsed on the ground, gasping for breath.
Mo Yu comforted him: "It's okay, let's keep going."
