Chapter 728 Two Swordsmen
When Luffy and Berumeba were clashing, the orange-haired girl who was eating nearby had been paying attention to the development of the situation. She noticed the straw hat boy whom she had met once before when Luffy walked into the restaurant.
She didn't expect that this young man had such a sense of justice. For some strangers he just met, he dared to go against the notorious Captain Monka of the Navy Branch. He used to be a robbing pirate, and now he is a vicious navy boy. The orange-haired girl has a better understanding and good impression of this straw hat boy. It seems that fate has brought the two of them closer!
After beating up Bellemer, Luffy left the restaurant. He wanted to rescue Zoro who was tied up and roasted in the scorching sun.
Similar to the original story, Luffy told Zoro about Bellemer's plan and asked him to join his pirate group on the condition of saving Zoro. Zoro's ambition had not been realized yet, and he had not fulfilled his promise to Kuina, so how could he die? Moreover, he died in the East China Sea!
If Kuina knew that Zoro was killed before he left the East Sea, she would be very disappointed! So for the sake of that promise and his own ambition, he agreed to the straw hat boy!
Zoro felt no disgust or resentment towards the Straw Hat Boy's taking advantage of the situation. He could feel the Straw Hat Boy's ambition and they resonated with each other in their hearts. That's why he finally agreed!
Just when Luffy was making a big fuss at the naval base, a slender figure evaded the guards of the naval base and sneaked in, just to find Nami who had entered the Grand Line chart.
When she heard in the diner that the Straw Hat boy wanted to rescue the pirate hunter Zoro, she knew that there would be a riot in the naval base, and it was the perfect time for her to fish in troubled waters.
In the original work, Nami wanted to find this nautical chart probably because there were almost enough pirates in the East China Sea for her to steal. In order to collect 1 million berries, she had no choice but to go to the extremely dangerous Grand Line, so she wanted to find this nautical chart.
Another possibility is that she was making advance preparations to break free from the shackles of the Fish-Man Pirates and go to the Grand Line to fulfill her dream. The naive Nami should be thinking of the second possibility!
But now that the Fish-Man Pirates are no longer a threat, Nami went to steal the sea chart not only to fulfill her dream, but also to go to the Grand Line to find the benefactor of her family and village!
Her benefactor Vic has never returned since he left Orange Town, but the image of that man in her heart could not fade away. Instead, it became more solid as she grew up. She could not let it go unless she met that man!
Needless to say, Luffy and Zoro naturally won the battle in the naval base. Monka was able to become a branch colonel because of the credit of others. His strength is really limited.
Afterwards, the naval branch colonel Monka was imprisoned by his navy subordinates. These subordinates had been enduring for too long, but their own strength was not enough to defeat the colonel. Now with the help of external forces, they finally brought down this local tyrant. Of course, they locked up the unconscious Monka first!
Afterwards, they reported the captain's actions over the years to the Navy Headquarters and asked them to make a ruling.
……
The news that pirates had overthrown the local tyrant of Shields Town spread like wildfire, and the residents of the town cheered. Luffy and his two companions were also invited by the mother and daughter of the restaurant to have a big meal.
Nami also got a map in the base, but when she opened it, she found that this map was not a nautical chart to the Grand Line, but the logo of the Buggy Pirates.
Nami knew that the sea chart had been stolen by the Buggy Pirates in advance. Her eyes changed slightly. She crushed the paper with the clown's head printed on it in her hand, and then quickly left the Marine Branch Base.
After Luffy and Zoro had eaten and drunk their fill, they were driven out of Shields Town by the navy, while Coby stayed in the naval base with the help of Luffy.
Of course, Coby can only be considered a temporary worker now. He and Belumebear are responsible for cleaning in the naval base. Formal training and the like have nothing to do with them. If there is no external intervention, this will be their life!
Although Zoro was a little surprised that he was Luffy's first partner and didn't even have a decent ship, he soon let it go. He recognized Luffy as a person, not the power and financial resources that Luffy possessed. He firmly believed that everything else could be obtained through their own efforts, and Luffy's ambition was great, which complemented his ambition!
Sailing on the sea can sometimes be very boring, and Zoro fell asleep while swaying. He dreamed of Kuina again, and also dreamed of the lost uncle who took Kuina away.
On the day when Kuina left Shimotsuki Village, Zoro learned from his teacher Koshiro who the Lost Uncle was, and it turned out that he was his senior brother!
Moreover, he is one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, along with the world's greatest swordsman Hawkeye Mihawk, so they are considered to be at the same level of powerhouses. So, as long as he can defeat the world's greatest swordsman, he can defeat that man, right?
Zoro doesn't know how strong he is now, but he has not met an opponent in the East China Sea who can make him use his full strength.
He had no idea about the level of the East China Sea in the entire world. Among the four seas, the overall strength of the East China Sea was at the bottom, not to mention the Grand Line.
Zoro's vision is limited by the East China Sea, and he has misunderstood his own strength. He has not yet met the person who can wake him up!
On the other side, Luffy looked at the straw hat in his hand that was blown away by the wind. He also thought of his old friends. The first one was of course Shanks, who guided him on the path of pirate!
He recalled everything that happened in the Windmill Village one by one in his mind, until Shanks had his arm bitten off by the King of the Sea in order to protect him, and then left the Straw Hat to him and left the Windmill Village.
The next person who flashed through his mind was Uncle Vic, the man who was first brought to Windmill Village by his grandfather and impressed him, and his subsequent growth was inseparable from that man.
Uncle Vic would spend time with him and train him every year. He both liked and feared Uncle Vic. His fear of Uncle Vic was similar to that of his own grandfather, and he almost killed him many times.
What he likes is naturally companionship and delicious food, so his feelings towards Vic are very complicated, but the importance of him is still not as great as that of Shanks who lost an arm to save him. After all, Shanks really saved his life and lost an arm for it, and he has always felt guilty about it!
I don’t know if it was the guidance of fate or Luffy’s aura was too strong, but after he woke up, he was still taken away by a big bird because he wanted to eat meat.
Zoro was speechless and anxious, so he rowed quickly to chase after her. However, Nami had already arrived in Orange Town because of the sign left by Buggy the Clown at the naval base!
