Chapter 727 Comforting Ex-Girlfriends 2
Standing at the door of Fury's School for Gifted Youngsters, Luke sighed.
Luke: "Your leg isn't really broken, is it necessary for you to stay in a wheelchair?"
Nick Fury touched his bald head and chuckled.
"If I can run around normally, some people will be worried. Then it won't be a broken leg, but a life lost."
Luke nodded to Agent Coulson behind him as a hello.
So the three of them walked into the school.
Luke: "How did you know I was coming?"
Nick Fury: "I got the message. You showed up again."
Luke: "Are you so sure that I would come to see you at this time?"
Nick Fury: "You went to Washington first, which shows that you are still a qualified FBI agent."
Coulson: "A qualified agent who is frequently absent from work for long periods of time."
Nick Fury: "Hey, Coulson, you can't hold others to your own standards like that."
Luke shrugged.
"I missed work, but I still have a position. You didn't miss work, but S.H.I.E.L.D. was disbanded."
Nick Fury, Coulson: ..., you are really good at comforting people...
When I walked into the school, I didn’t go to the main building, but to a flat lawn at the back.
Nick Fury talks a little more about chasing Hydra.
Now the Fury School for Gifted Youngsters is working with Steve to fight against the remnants of Hydra.
The other party is worthy of being Hydra, it is so good at hiding.
Their actions always have little effect.
Even though they were found, they were just some small minions.
Hydra's skills on the secret front are almost maxed out.
Even veteran agents like Carter and Fury don't have any good solutions.
Luke knew why, but he didn't tell her.
It's nothing more than finding something for these people to do.
Otherwise, problems will arise if this group of people are idle.
To put it simply, their methods are still too simple and crude.
To deal with this kind of organization that is particularly good at hiding, one must either use powerful force, such as the truth serum in the magic world.
Or disintegrate them from within.
But it seems that there is no news about the agents they sent.
Hydra is very good at identifying its own people.
Ordinary agents really can't do anything about it.
Nick Fury didn't dare to take risks with his elite troops.
He doesn't have many cards left in his hand now.
The three chatted for a while, and then a Quinjet flew back and landed on the lawn.
A group of young people wearing special combat uniforms got off the plane.
They walked towards the three people laughing.
Luke quietly took a step back and stood behind Coulson, giving the main seat to the two of them.
Nick Fury: "How's it going? Is it going well?"
The leading Agent Barton smiled and nodded.
"It went smoothly, but it was just a temporary base. We didn't get any useful clues."
Nick Fury nodded.
"It doesn't matter. As long as they show their hand again, we still have a chance."
Coulson added:
"Go and rest first. Is anyone injured?"
Agent Barton shook his head.
Seeing Luke looking at him with a smile behind Coulson, he nodded as a greeting.
Agent Barton then left with the other young men.
They say they are young people, and most of them are young people.
Blind Matt is here too.
But he was blind, so he didn't realize it was Luke.
Just as they were about to leave, Luke called out to someone.
"Miss Daisy, can we chat for a few minutes?"
This sentence attracted everyone's attention.
Daisy obviously recognized Luke as well.
So he looked at Nick Fury.
Nick Fury nodded and gave Daisy a relaxed look.
"Let's go, Coulson."
In fact, Luke had no intention of asking any secret questions.
Luke asked Daisy before the group had gone far.
"Has your father come to see you?"
Daisy hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded in agreement.
Luke didn't say anything, meaning that Daisy should say something.
Daisy waited a moment before she spoke.
"I don't have a good impression of him. It seems that he has some... um... problems."
"He told me what happened back then. At least I know the truth, the apparent truth."
“So, I want to verify this myself.”
“He left in a very depressed mood.”
After listening to the general meaning, Luke understood it.
Dr. Hyde still looked like a drug addict.
Because this guy has been taking drugs for a long time.
Although it is not a drug, what he invented still has some effect on the body.
Daisy continued:
"Before he left, he said he was going to look for my mother and come see me together."
Dr. Hyde had said before that he wanted to find Daisy's mother.
There must be something wrong in the relationship between Dr. Hyde and his wife Jia Ying.
But there's no rush.
Luke: “Did you find out anything?”
Jia Ying paused and shook her head.
"No, it was Hydra who did this. I don't have any clues."
"Then how do you verify what Mr. Hyde said?"
Daisy looked embarrassed, and after a while she said:
"I do not know either."
Luke smiled.
"Go ask Nick Fury when you have time. You and S.H.I.E.L.D. have a strong connection."
Daisy looked at Luke suspiciously.
"What do you mean?"
Luke: “Literally.”
Then, regardless of Daisy's doubtful look, he walked towards the school building.
Most of the newly formed Avengers by Nick Fury are former S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.
Obviously, the people inside are all people that Nick Fury trusts more.
Luke didn't see Sofia, so I guess she was sent to perform other tasks.
Agents like Sophia are not suitable for frontal combat.
Penetration is her strongest ability.
Besides, it is impossible for China to let her, a female agent, fight head-on.
Only in secret battlefields can we obtain more intelligence.
Nick Fury should also be aware of Sofia's characteristics.
But Luke didn't ask Nick Fury, and Nick Fury didn't say it on his own initiative.
The two of them had a tacit understanding.
Nick Fury: Don't worry, I won't put your little lover at risk.
Luke: If you dare let my lover take risks, I will destroy your school.
Back to Nick Fury's office.
Agent Coulson was gone.
He should be meeting with the Avengers and listening to their mission reports.
Luke sat at Nick Fury's desk and looked around.
"You are so poor here that you don't even have a glass of water for guests."
Nick Fury smiled and spread his hands indifferently.
"I dare to give you a drink, do you dare to drink it?"
Luke: "Why not? This is just your excuse for being stingy."
Nick Fury: "Well, you guessed it. I admit that I'm poor."
Luke put away his smile and said with a serious face:
"If you dare to poach people from me again, I will blow up your school."
Nick Fury shook his head.
"It's a bit of a waste to put so many dangerous people in such a small town..."
