Chapter 1168 Dark Cinderella

In the dark and damp cell, the soldiers' footsteps were getting closer and closer.

The steel nails on the bottom of the military boots hit the ground, one by one, as if beating on the heart.

Lorraine looked at the flying sparrows, then lowered his eyes to look at the key that fell on the ground, and the corners of his mouth curved strangely.

He calmly picked up the key and opened the handcuffs that locked him.

Click!

The moment the handcuffs fell to the ground, the soldier who sensed something was wrong appeared outside the cell, his eyes widened, and was about to draw the sword at his waist.

Lorraine just raised his finger, and the soldier instantly turned into a stone statue, unable to move.

Then he didn't rush to open the door and go out. Instead, he tilted his head, picked up the shivering little sparrow that fell to the ground, and held it in the palm of his hand.

There was only a tiny window in the cell, and the only faint light that came in through the window fell on the sparrow in the palm of Lorraine's hand, revealing her miserable appearance completely to Lorraine.

Its feathers were covered in dust, the corners of its pointed mouth were stained with dried blood, and its two little claws were cracked, the blood had coagulated and turned brown in the sunlight.

Lorraine's breath suddenly turned cold, but the movement of stroking Sparrow's head was incredibly gentle.

With a light touch of the fingertips, the sparrow turned into a familiar button again.

He personally hung the button on his chest, closest to his heart.

"Come on, let's end this together."

Lorraine stood up and walked out of the cell.

The soldier who stayed outside to guard did not expect that it was Lorraine who came out. He was so stunned that he could not even resist. He followed the fate of the previous soldier and was turned into a stone statue.

Lorraine was not in a hurry at all and walked towards the king's study leisurely.

There were no obstacles on the road.

He just met a group of soldiers who were patrolling as usual. After seeing him, the leading captain seemed a little surprised. He organized the soldiers to stand still and salute him in unison.

Lorraine nodded faintly and walked past them.

In the study, the king was roaring loudly -

"Damn it! Who stole the key? Damn it!"

He was frightened out of his wits.

The wizard who helped him capture Lorraine had received his reward and left. Thinking that Lorraine might have already got the key, the king's pupils contracted and his clenched fists trembled slightly.

The nightingale in the corner lay in its cage, silent, as if dead.

"No! I can't stay here any longer! He will definitely come to seek revenge on me!"

The king became more and more panicked. He jumped up and ran outside. However, the moment he opened the door, he stood stiffly in place, unable to move at all.

Lorraine was standing just outside the door.

He was still wearing tattered prison uniform, and the smile on his face was icy cold.

"Luo...Luo Lin, I'm just too scared. Please forgive me. Everything I have is yours, okay..."

The king stepped back repeatedly, leaning against the wall behind him in fear, his face pale.

To be fair, if he were Lorraine, he would never let him go.

Lorraine stood at the door, still smiling, and gently raised his right hand. He hesitated for a second before casting magic on the king.

The magic white light fell on the king and turned him into a squirrel, who stood there on the floor in a daze.

Lorraine used the books on the table to make a small cage, just enough to put the squirrel in.

After he finished this, a group of neatly dressed soldiers came over from the other end of the corridor and saluted him respectfully, "Your Highness, everything outside has been resolved."

"Get a doctor in my room." Lorraine turned and walked back to his bedroom, but stopped halfway and looked back at the leader. "I want the best doctor."

The leading soldier didn't understand what was going on, but he nodded respectfully.

When Lorraine returned to the bedroom, the first thing that caught her eye was the mess of towels. She wondered what kind of tangle the towels had gone through last night to make the velvet so messy.

He raised his eyebrows, looked down at the buttons quietly on his chest, reached out to take her off, looked around, and finally put her on the soft bed.

The magical white light fell, and the button turned into a petite girl.

Shi Li sat on the edge of the bed, her pale face and the dried blood around her mouth were still so glaring.

Lorraine's gaze moved downwards and fixed on her scarred feet, with an unspeakable depth in his eyes.

Feeling that the atmosphere was not right, Shi Li shrank her toes awkwardly, "Call the doctor over, where are you injured? I'll help you first..."

She couldn't finish her sentence mid-sentence, as Lorraine approached her and leaned in for a kiss.

He kissed the slightly cool forehead, the dark eyebrows, the trembling eyelashes, and the wings of the nose, but only avoided the injured lips.

Shi Li seemed to be petrified by magic, not daring to move, but her fingers had their own consciousness and tightly grasped the hem of his clothes.

The fireplace was clearly burning all day and then went out yesterday, but why is the room getting hotter and hotter?

The sudden knock on the door was like a bucket of ice water pouring down on my head.
