Chapter 71 Things That Have Not Changed
Professor Lockhart recovered faster than expected, and on Friday he was able to teach the Savior in radiant form again.
To be honest, not only Harry, but everyone felt a little disappointed. Even the joy that Ron's wand brought to Professor Flitwick in the middle of the forehead in the last Charms class faded a little.
It doesn't matter, the smiling Professor Lockhart knows how to provoke screams from girls and resentment from boys.
And Della, who had changed the skin of Lockhart's pulp novel, was reading the runes in the corner.
If you can't change the environment, you can only change yourself.
Della sighed inwardly and turned the page of the book in her hand. Perhaps because she had tortured him too hard before, she felt a little guilty when she looked at Professor Lockhart again. She even felt that Lockhart was a little pitiful because she had taken her anger out on him.
Well, never mind, Professor Snape is the mastermind.
Even Della couldn't concentrate on anything else during the ongoing class, so she flipped through the books in twos and threes, thinking haphazardly, just trying to get through the class.
Come to think of it, I haven't looked for that first-year student named Luna yet. I don't know why she didn't take the boat that day, but I have to return her things.
But Della didn't expect to see Luna on her way to the History of Magic classroom after class.
She was so conspicuous, with her wand pinned high behind her head and the big carrot earrings on her ears swaying as she walked. What was even more eye-catching was that she was missing one shoe and was walking with one foot higher than the other.
Luna still had that dreamy look on her face, which smoothed out Della's subconscious frown.
"Hey, Luna, can I call you that?" Della walked a few steps to Luna's side, and after meeting her slightly hazy eyes, she showed a friendly smile, "I'm Della Riddle, we met in the car that day."
"Ah, hello." Luna tilted her head, the wand behind her ear and her hair tilted to the side, she smiled, "Although you are not wearing glasses, I feel that the harassment fly on you is gone."
"I think your little wooden block is very useful," Della took out the fragrant wooden block from the bag beside her and handed it to Luna. "Thank you very much. Do you need help now, Luna?"
"I'm fine now, Della." Luna still had that dreamy look on her face, with an ethereal and all-embracing tenderness. She gently pushed back the block in front of her, and instead held up the wooden butterbeer cork hanging on her chest to show it to Della. "It takes a little stimulation to drive away the harassment flies. That's just a common method I use, but tools don't change the original things."
"..." Della's eyes widened slightly after listening to Luna's words, but before she could reply, a familiar voice came from behind her.
"Luna! I got it back!"
The warm red color kept jumping as Ginny ran. She waved the shoes in her hand at Luna with a big smile. Even though they were several meters away, Della could feel her hot breath.
"Oh, Della! I'm so glad to see you!" Ginny breathed slightly, and a blush slowly climbed up her cheeks after the exercise, making her look even more beautiful and passionate.
"Are you used to the school days?" After Ginny handed the shoes in her hand to Luna, Della smiled and pinched her slightly hot cheeks, "You are really a little lion, Ginny."
"I had a great time." Ginny blinked her eyes, her tone intimate. She opened her mouth as if she wanted to share something, but quickly opened her eyes wide, "Oh! We have to hurry, Luna! The next class is Professor Snape's Potions class!"
"Then you have to hurry up. I believe you have already sensed the professor's severity." Della covered her mouth in an exaggerated manner.
"See you next time, Della!" Ginny's smile became even brighter. She took the hand of Luna who had put on her shoes, waved goodbye to Della, and ran away with Luna.
Looking at their receding backs, then looking down at the piece of wood still in her hand, Della curled the corners of her mouth, turned and walked towards the History of Magic classroom.
There are two more spells classes in the afternoon, so today's schedule is really full. But considering that tomorrow is Saturday, I should cheer up a little.
She didn’t know if it was an illusion, but Della always felt that she had become more willful and childish after a summer vacation.
Was it because he wanted to do that? That was why he lay under the tree with the mentality of skipping class, tormented Lockhart with evil intentions, and spent the class in twos and threes?
This was not a bad situation for Della. At least she felt comfortable compared to the unchanging hypocrisy.
The only annoying thing is probably that they have to maintain that lifeless state with Draco, especially since they haven't chosen their classes yet. They have to take every class together. To be honest, it's quite awkward.
The two will probably remain in this state until one of them gives in. However, for a problem that neither side can compromise on, an early explosion is better than one side giving in.
Tolerance and compromise are always two different things.
Draco, on the other hand, obviously didn't have this understanding yet.
At first, he complained about Della's making a fuss, and his arrogance, which had disappeared in front of her, kept rising and falling. Sometimes, he even felt that he was too good to Della, which made her so presumptuous.
Yes, after the panic, Draco attributed Della's behavior that made him angry to insolence, and even considered showing his strength and disdain in front of her.
Draco felt that after making Della feel that she had lost something, she would feel regretful. In this way, after he forgave her, not only could they return to being as they were before, but there would also be no more annoying people around them.
This plan suddenly disappeared when he saw Della's expression, which was no different from usual. Draco didn't dare to take the gamble. He was afraid that he would be the only one who lost and regretted in the end.
So, he transferred all his bad emotions onto the Gryffindors, the arrogant savior, the unruly Weasleys, and the dirty Granger, and attributed Della's alienation to these people.
This is also a form of venting anger, but it is more serious, wider in scope, and more blind.
Likewise, this is something that cannot be changed, it is the original thing.
