Chapter 197 The Weasley Brothers' Promise

Cedric and Cho didn't return until late in the evening.

To welcome them back to school, Fred and George bought several large bottles of butterbeer from Hogsmeade.

Their group of six... well, almost everyone in the team got a bottle, the only one left out was Kyle.

"You guys are really holding a grudge." Kyle looked at the butterbeer in the hands of others, pursed his lips and said, "I was just joking. Why do you still remember it..."

"Oh, isn't this Kyle from Merlin's band?" Fred said in a very surprised tone, "You should have told us earlier. I thought someone of your status would not drink butterbeer."

"Wait a minute, I don't think he's a member of Merlin's Order." George said, "In the trophy room, he only has a trophy for his special contribution to the school."

"And it's from last year..."

"It's been a long time since it was last used..."

"That's enough!" Kyle rubbed his forehead and said, "It's just the Order of Merlin. Believe it or not, I will hit you on the head with it every day."

After a strange silence...

“Ha…” George let out a strange cry, then he held his stomach and laughed loudly, “I can’t take it anymore…hahahaha…Fred, did you hear what he said?”

"Of course, George, I heard it very clearly." Fred wiped away the tears of laughter: "Let's get the last bottle of butterbeer quickly, he's starting to talk nonsense."

"I think so……"

"Hitting us on the head with the Order of Merlin is such a funny joke..."

"I could laugh for a whole year..."

Kyle looked at the butterbeer they handed over and asked calmly, "What if I can really do that?"

"Then we'll cover all your butterbeer from now on!" Fred said nonchalantly.

"If anyone could win the Order of Merlin in second grade, I would fly around the school while tap dancing with three trophies on my head."

"Count me in too!"

As they spoke, even they themselves were amused.

Kyle raised an eyebrow and took a sip of his butterbeer in silence without saying anything.

This thing is really delicious, a bit like hot cocoa. It is full of butter aroma in one sip, but it doesn't feel greasy at all. No wonder it is so popular.

I might consider having a cup every day in the future...but I don't know if the Weasley brothers' wallets can afford it.

……

Not long after the students returned to Hogwarts, the dinner began.

Hermione looked at Ron who was putting food on a large plate and frowned, "What are you doing? And where's Harry? He's not going to have dinner?"

"That's what I'm saying."

Ron held a chicken drumstick and said helplessly, "Harry is sleeping in the dormitory. I called him many times, but it was no use.

If we don’t bring more now, he will be hungry when he wakes up.”

"Sleep...now?" Hermione was even more confused.

She could understand that Harry was easily sleepy, as he was always drowsy in the library, but why did he have to sleep at this time?

"Wait, you guys don't want to go out for a night out again!" Hermione asked warily.

"Of course not, we haven't been swimming at night for a long time!" Ron blushed.

"It was Kyle. He gave Harry a bottle of water of life and death, saying it could cure his nightmares."

Ron then gave a brief account of what had happened in Hagrid's hut that afternoon.

"…It's just that Harry drank a little too much. He's already slept for four hours."

"How much did he drink?"

Ron thought for a moment and said, "I don't know, maybe a small cup, but definitely not much."

"What do you think that is, pumpkin juice?" Hermione frowned and said, "I read in a book that only a small spoonful of the water of life and death can make a person sleep for two hours. He actually drank a glass?"

"Yeah, I know. Kyle said the same thing at the time." Ron sighed, "So what should we do now?"

"There's nothing we can do. We can only wait for him to wake up, but that might be late at night, or even early the next morning." Hermione looked at the large plate in Ron's hand, "Are you sure you want to take so many things?"

"Of course, what if Harry doesn't have enough to eat?" Ron said casually, "Although it does take a little time, as long as they are baked in the fireplace, they will become as delicious as freshly made. This is how we eat them during the holidays."

Hermione stared at him, a dangerous glint in her eyes.

"So you spent your entire holiday figuring out how to bake, and didn't even go to see Nicolas Flamel, did you?"

"We did look for it, and we even went to the restricted area!" Ron quickly defended, "You probably don't know, but the books there make a loud noise when you open them. We were almost caught by Filch."

Hermione gave him a suspicious look. It was the first time she had heard of a book making a screaming sound. She couldn't help but wonder if this was just an excuse Ron made up.

Ron, however, patted his chest solemnly, saying that everything he said was true... After all, Harry had told him these himself, so Ron was very confident.

After the opening dinner, everyone returned to the dormitory.

Hermione was right. It was late at night before Harry slowly opened his eyes.

He wanted to speak, but his throat felt dry. Fortunately, there was a half cup of pumpkin juice next to him. Although he didn't know who it belonged to, Harry didn't care so much. He took it and took a big sip.

"Is this...a dormitory?"

Harry put down the cup and began to look around.

Next to the pumpkin juice, there was a plate filled with sumptuous food.

A feeling of hunger came over Harry, and his throat moved. He felt as if his stomach had been punched by someone and was very uncomfortable.

It had been a long time since he left the Dursleys.

Harry picked up a baked potato and swallowed it with the skin in just a few bites, which made him feel much better.

Neville and Seamus were sleeping, while Ron was sitting at the table, his chin resting on his hand, his head nodding.

Harry walked up and pushed him: "Ron, why are you sleeping here?"

Ron, awakened, opened his eyes and said dazedly, "Um... Harry... Oh, thank God, you're finally awake..."

"How long have I slept?" Harry asked.

"I don't know..." Ron rubbed his eyes, "but it must have been more than eight hours. How do you feel now?"

"Excellent!"

Harry said excitedly: "This is the most comfortable sleep I have ever had. I didn't have any dreams."

"That's great..." Ron yawned and sat down on his bed.

He wanted to say something, but because he was so sleepy, he fell into a deep sleep before he could open his mouth.

Chapter 198 An unexpected gain

After the semester started, professors became much more relaxed about their inspections of the library and night patrols, because they had to grade assignments, so they naturally had no time to patrol at night.

That night, Kyle, who had been well behaved for two weeks, took the Marauder's Map and couldn't wait to open the door of the library.

The new bookshelf in the box has been made. It can't be left empty forever, so Kyle plans to fill it up in the remaining half semester.

Although this task is a bit difficult, as long as he sleeps one hour less every day and works a little harder, he should be able to complete it.

Kyle took his wand and walked to the restricted books area with ease.

But this time he did not take the books from the shelf in the same order as before. Instead, he carefully identified the name of each book, and only took out the ones he needed and put them aside.

After more than half an hour, Kyle found three books in total, and they were all related to the basilisk.

"Fatal Sight"

Medieval Exploration: The Vanishing Ancient Species

How to Make a Rooster Lay Eggs

But there seems to be something strange mixed in here.

Kyle took the last book with a black cover, which was about as thick as a notebook, and wondered for a moment how this thing got into the restricted books section.

But Newt and Hagrid will probably like this book very much, so I can copy it down now and give it to them as a Christmas gift next year.

Because it had been a long time since he came here for a night tour, and he read a lot of books this time, Kyle stayed in the library until dawn.

In the next few days, he returned to his busy state before the holiday.

Quidditch practice has begun again.

Fortunately, Harris' requirements for them are not as strict as those for other teams. Even when the game is approaching, they still only have regular training three times a week.

In contrast, Gryffindor is different. In order to play in the next game, Wood has become so desperate that he trains almost every afternoon.

Even on the rainy days after the heavy snow, Kyle could see them on the Quidditch pitch.

Fred and George complained to them more than once that Wood was becoming a training maniac and didn't care about their lives at all.

Fred also said that if they continued like this, they would all have to be admitted to the school hospital before the game even started.

However, Kyle had reason to suspect that they were playing a self-torture trick, after all, the next game was between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor.

In addition to Quidditch training, Kyle would also take time to visit Hagrid's Hut on weekends.

Because he found that ever since Hagrid began to pay attention to the magical creatures in the Forbidden Forest, all kinds of surprises always appeared in his cabin.

"Here you go, Kyle. Unicorn tail hair."

Inside the house, Hagrid poured Kyle a cup of tea and gave him a small bag. "I remember you liked these things, so I collected some for you. They all fell naturally."

Kyle took the bag, opened it and took a look... There were more than a dozen long silver hairs in it, and they were in perfect condition.

"So many..." Kyle asked in surprise, "Did you pick these up recently?"

Unicorns don't shed as much hair as cruppies, especially their tail hair... Without the intervention of a wizard, it would take about half a year for only one hair to fall off.

I didn't expect Hagrid could pick up so much in just a few weeks. Could there be a colony of unicorns in the Forbidden Forest?
