Chapter 300 Life Will Come With Death

The car drove out of the thick walls of the dim castle, passed through a village with scattered low stone houses, crossed an iron chain bridge guarded by two huge stone statues, and drove into a wilderness.

I don’t know how long I drove before a snow-capped mountain towering into the clouds appeared at the end of the road.

On the cart, the frightened Lilith was left in the castle, but Lucifer followed.

Lucifer had been observing Kloface's expression all the way, and seeing that his father had no intention of punishing him yet, he became restless again.

"Little bastard, do you know? In the past, we demons could fly when we traveled. We didn't need to sit in slow, bumpy, and airtight iron boxes like you humans do."

"Asaiah." Little Asaiah looked into his deep blue eyes and said, "My name is Asaiah, not little bastard."

Lucifer sneered, "What's the difference?"

Little Asaiah turned his face away in silence.

Lucifer had some understanding of little Asaiah's temper, so he compromised and said, "Okay, my dear non-pure-blood sister, do you know why we demons no longer fly?"

Little Asaiah opened her clear eyes and turned her head again. After all, she was still young, and this question was indeed very curious.

Lucifer was very satisfied with having successfully attracted her attention. He smiled slyly and said, "Of course it's because there is gravity on Earth! Hahahahaha——"

......

Little Asaiah felt very sorry for having any expectations of Lucifer.

"It's because our power is declining." Klophas, who had been resting with his eyes closed, opened his eyes and said coldly, "The higher the level of the creature, the more energy it consumes. The energy that some survivors can obtain now is not only difficult to support flight, but they can't even disguise themselves properly."

Klofas paused, then continued, "The first generation of survivors who came to Earth could also control their appearance and eye color, disguising themselves as ordinary humans and blending into the outside world."

"By the time of Lucifer and his generation, the remnants born on Earth, could no longer conceal their unique eye shape and color."

"In order to avoid being captured and studied as monsters, we have no choice but to stay away from human habitats and hide in the enchantment of the Holy Spirit Battle Blade."

"The energy of the Holy Spirit Blade is weakening, the barrier is shrinking, and you humans are expanding faster than locusts." A trace of disgust flashed in Kloface's pure black eyes.

Little Asaiah seemed to understand, but he heard Klophas say in a low but firm voice: "So, no matter who is needed or what the price is, it cannot stop us from regaining our power."

The car passed through a black land shrouded in pale mist. Many ragged people with handcuffs and shackles were working in the fields.

Seeing that little Asaiah's eyes lingered on them, Lucifer said proudly: "Look, these humans who broke in for no reason have all become our slaves."

After he said that, he felt a little regretful. Little Asaiah refused to drink human blood in the first place, and after seeing the dirty appearance of these slaves, she would be even more unwilling to drink it.

So, Lucifer cleverly said, "But don't look at them because they are dirty now. They need to be cleaned before cutting their blood."

Little Asaiah's eyes flickered, and he didn't say another word until he got off the car.

Passing through farmlands, mines, streams and scattered villages, the car finally arrived at its destination, the foot of the towering snow-capped mountain.

Looking up from the foot of the mountain, the peak almost reached the sky. Little Asaiah had never seen such a high mountain. Just when she thought they had to climb up on foot, with a "whoosh", a pair of huge black bone wings suddenly stretched out from behind Klophas.

The ferocious bone wings stirred up a gust of cold wind, and little Asaiah had to raise his thin arms to cover his head and face.

Klophas soared into the air and quickly flew over, stretching out his long arms to hold little Asaiah and Lucifer in each hand, and then he followed the rugged rocks on the hillside and rushed up into the clouds that surrounded the snow-capped mountainside and never dissipated all year round.

"Ahaha--" Lucifer's excited shout was cut into pieces by the strong wind. Little Asaiah's hair was messed up by the wind. She lowered her head and looked at the rapidly shrinking black car and the driver who had become the size of a needle tip. Not only did she not feel any fear or terror, but she felt an unprecedented and amazing thrill from the flight.

Kloface led them through the clouds, and the view of the snow-capped mountain top was completely different from what little Asaiah had seen on TV or what she had imagined.

The peak of the mountain was flattened, leaving a huge charred pit inward. A huge stone blade as high as a cliff was slashing diagonally in the center of the pit.

Lightning-shaped cracks radiate from where the giant blade intersects the mountain, and green lava slowly flows in the cracks of these winding mountain walls.

Klophas landed on a small flat ground in front of the giant blade. He folded up his bone wings and put little Asaiah and Lucifer down.

"Lucifer, don't run around." Kloface accurately predicted his son's thoughts, and under the pressure of his accumulated power, Lucifer retracted his right foot that had already stepped forward.

Little Asaiah's soft hair was slightly curled by the hot breath of the lava, and her clear eyes looked around the charred land.

Is this the Starry Sky Tomb? What is the Starry Sky Tomb?

Klophas whispered a string of words that little Asaiah couldn't understand. Lucifer lowered his head and said softly, "Call me brother, and I'll tell you what he's saying."

Little Asaiah shook his head: "I guess you don't know either, you just want to trick me."

Lucifer said angrily, "How could I not know? Dad is using his identity as the Grand Lord to summon Lady White, the Lord of Death. When summoned by the Grand Lord, no matter what the demon lords are doing, they must show up immediately. If you don't believe me, just wait and see. She will show up soon."

"Oh." Little Asaiah responded crisply, "Okay."

Lucifer was stunned for a moment, then he realized that he had been tricked.

He looked into little Asaiah's crystal clear eyes and inexplicably felt an urge to eat her.

The green lava in the cracks of the mountain gathered in front of Klophas and piled up into a human silhouette. A woman in a white satin evening gown emerged from the lava.

She wore a set of round white pearl jewelry and held a small ivory folding fan in her hand. She covered her lips lightly and said in a light tone, "Kloface, long time no see. You called me from the Crown Prince's ball. It had better be something important~"

Kloface did not respond to Mrs. White's words. He waved his hand, and the camouflaging water film above everyone's heads suddenly dissipated, revealing a black ball the size of a date pit floating in the air.

The small ball was irregular in shape, without a trace of light, and looked no different from any charred rock in the deep pit.

The white film spread in Mrs. Bai's eyeballs until it occupied the entire eye socket. She tilted her head and looked up at the small black ball, saying obsessively: "When can I see it grow branches again?"

Klofas interrupted her sigh: "Madam Bai, I called you here to ask you something."

Madam Bai smiled slightly and said, "Whatever the great lord wants to ask, I will certainly tell him everything I know."

Kloface's words fell to the ground like an ice knife: "Life will follow death. I want to know what this prophecy means."
