Chapter 365 First Arrival

They landed in the capital, and Della got off the plane behind Zhou Yushi and Belinda. Almost everyone focused their attention on Bellinda, the beautiful foreigner, but no one noticed Della.

This was normal, because Della had been casting a spell on herself, and no one else was aware of her presence until she spoke.

Then she scared Zhou Yushi's second uncle Tang Xie.

"What the hell!" The middle-aged man with a standard square face suddenly jumped back and hit the back of the car that came to pick people up. A large piece of snow fell off the roof of the car. He looked at the girl who suddenly appeared in surprise. Seeing that she was as white as a ghost, he thought for a moment that his nephew had gone astray and captured someone else's soul.

By the time he realized that this was indeed a person, before he could breathe a sigh of relief, Tang Xie was speechless because he had to travel abroad frequently for work and realized that this was the famous Della Riddle. He looked up at his nephew in a daze, not understanding why Della Riddle would return to China with him.

"The incident happened suddenly, and I dare not say it in the letter or on the phone, second uncle." Zhou Yushi shrank his neck and showed weakness first.

Tang Xie frowned and looked Della up and down. His square face became more serious. His gaze stayed on Della's face for a while longer, and his brows knitted tighter. He looked at Zhou Yu suspiciously, and after getting a slight nod from his nephew, he pursed his lips, forced a smile at Della, and welcomed her in English, "Hello, welcome to Country Z. My name is Xie Tang, just call me uncle."

Della saw the exchange of glances between the two and realized that something was wrong with her, but neither of them said a word about it, so she didn't know how to ask. She could only smile politely at the elder, and after Belinda greeted her generously, she sat in the back with Belinda.

Before Zhou Yushi, who had put his luggage in the trunk, got in, Della noticed that Tang Xie looked at her a few times through the front mirror. There was no consideration or fear in his eyes that should have been a sign of vigilance, only indescribable regret and pity.

"How's life at home lately, second uncle?" Zhou Yushi brushed off the snow on his body, sat on the passenger seat, and kept speaking in English. This was what he had agreed with Belinda before. Belinda didn't want to be excluded from the conversation because of the language barrier.

"Your cousin is about to graduate, and he's still arguing with his grandfather about what to do next," Tang Xie sighed. He looked at the two foreigners behind him through the mirror and explained to them, also pulling them into the conversation in disguise. "I work for wizards, and my son, my wife, and my father-in-law's family all work in the Muggle world, so most of the time I can only watch them quarrel."

"Does my cousin have many choices?" Belinda asked, leaning against the car window and staring at the exotic scenery that was receding.

"Hiss - forget it," Tang Xi said hesitantly. He couldn't blame him. His son was a science student that he never thought his family would have in his life, and he had never been interested in physics and chemistry. "Xiao Yu seems to be okay in science. Let's talk to his grandfather later. You are so young now, it must be easier for you to understand those things than me."

"Can't we just talk to this Ling directly?" Della confirmed, worried that there might be something wrong in order to be polite during the visit.

"Believe me, it's boring to chat with him," Tang Xie pouted and drove slowly around a corner, "and his spoken English is not good, everything he learned is on paper. It's okay, you don't have to embarrass yourself to chat with him."

Different regions, the same parents always show their children humility.

Della noticed this as she nodded obediently, and her nervousness about going to a strange country, which she had not shown, eased a lot. She realized at this moment that no matter how different the environment is, the differences between people are still limited.

During the not-so-enthusiastic conversation, the car drove into an alley. Della watched Tang Xie skillfully park the car against the wall. Then she climbed out from Belinda's side and stepped onto the brick floor.

The heavy feeling she felt when she stepped on it was unprecedented. Della, who had traveled a lot, had never seen such bricks and stones that seemed to show the years. She took two small steps again and felt for the first time that walking was a pleasure.

"Hey! You're all here!"

Someone in Chinese, whom she couldn't understand, shouted from afar. Under the bright moonlight, she saw a man riding a bicycle getting closer and closer to them and waved enthusiastically. However, his enthusiasm did not last for a few seconds, and he was in a hurry to steady his bicycle with big bags hanging on both handlebars.

Della looked at him screaming and struggling with the swaying bicycle, and curled her lips slightly.

The bicycle finally stabilized, and Tang Yun, carrying two roast ducks, arrived safely beside his family. He breathed a sigh of relief. He had been worried about the safety of the two roast ducks along the way, so he immediately handed the two bags of roast ducks to Tang Xi and Zhou Yushi, "Grandpa ordered them early in the morning, and mom sent me to get them. There's no roast turkey, so I'll get some roast duck to treat you, cousin."

As he spoke, he looked at the goddess of beauty who had been famous for a long time, and was about to say hello to Miss Eleta. While his brain was struggling to switch the language system, another voice came to his ear, "Hello, Yun."

Tang Yu looked over and saw Della next to Bellinda. The moment he saw Della's face that had fascinated him, he froze. He turned his head blankly and looked at Zhou Yu, "Am I dreaming, cousin?"

His language system just happened to switch over and he spoke English. Zhou Yushi looked at his dazed look and said coldly, "Yes, daydreaming."

"But it's night now. Look, the moon is out." As he said this, Tang Yun raised his arm and pointed to the sky in a serious manner, making Bellinda and Della laugh out loud.

"Don't embarrass yourself," Tang Xie sighed and patted his silly son's shoulder, "Go, ride home first and let them set the table."

"It's not a dream..." Tang Yun got on the bike mechanically, keeping his eyes wide open. He couldn't help but look at Della again. After meeting her black eyes that were also looking at him, he immediately turned around and rode away on his bike.

Belinda, whose love radar was extremely sensitive, looked at Tang Yun's fleeing back, turned around and raised her eyebrows twice at Zhou Yushi with an inquiring look, and after getting an affirmative nod, the smile on Belinda's lips deepened.

"Come on, I'll take you there," Tang Xi waved his hand to signal the guests to follow. On the way, he couldn't help but say a few words to his son, "Xiao Yu, you just don't care about anything. Oh, it really gives me a headache..."

Della listened to the parents' chattering and smelled the aroma of food in the alley. As she walked along, there were always branches of big trees that grew over the high walls. The wind made them sway, and the moon gave them charm. The swaying branches seemed like the family warmth revealed from behind the high walls waving to her.

Her heart, trembling with pessimism, slowly calmed down.
