It was Professor Moody. Although his back was facing away from everyone, Kyle was sure that his magic eye was looking at them through the back of his head.
"Dumbledore..." he said, "If I had known that Hogwarts was your private territory, I should have asked for a raise."
"Hogwarts never belongs to anyone. It belongs to all the students..." Dumbledore said, "Of course, this does not affect your reasonable request for a salary increase. I will consider it."
After being interrupted by Professor Moody, Karkaroff lost interest in continuing.
"I was just joking, Professor Moody." Karkaroff said with a laugh, but there was no smile in his cold eyes.
Half an hour later, everything was finished.
As the barely touched goulash disappeared from Kyle's plate, Dumbledore stood up and told the students to do the same.
He waved his wand and the table disappeared, and then a huge stage appeared in the middle of the hall, along with various different musical instruments.
Amid screams, the Weird Sisters swarmed the stage.
As the only band to appear on the Chocolate Frog cartoons, they were extremely popular in the entire wizarding world. Even just showing up would make the auditorium boil.
And when they picked up their instruments, the warriors also stood up.
The first song they played was "Glorious Hippogriff," and Kyle walked onto the brightly lit dance floor, feeling more nervous than he had ever been before the first task of the Triwizard Tournament.
Then he held Connor's hand and placed his other hand on her waist.
He could clearly feel that Kanna's body tensed up for a moment, but then returned to normal.
The chill on his neck became more pronounced, but Kyle no longer cared about it.
He recalled the movements that Professor McGonagall had taught him before, and when the melody sounded, he took Connor and took slow steps forward.
When he really jumped up, Kyle was not as nervous as before. His movements became more and more skillful, and he and Kanna slowly circled on the spot.
It was very strange. Although the three warriors were dancing and Fleur and Krum were also very eye-catching, most people's eyes were always on Kyle and Kanna, as if this stage was built specially for them.
"That's great..." Dumbledore's eyes flashed and he lowered his head slightly while wiping his glasses.
Professor McGonagall looked proud.
The person who is now stunning the whole audience is the one she taught... As for Professor Flitwick and Nearly Headless Nick, they are just teaching assistants and do not deserve to have a name.
Of course, there are happy people and unhappy people.
With a snap, Snape broke the table knife he had been holding. His eyes were fixed on the dance floor, and he didn't even notice Sirius Black who was hanging around nearby.
Perhaps he was bored, and seeing Snape ignored him, Sirius stopped provoking him. He found Professor McGonagall and asked her to dance with him in a gentlemanly manner.
Professor McGonagall readily agreed.
When the song was halfway through, more people entered the dance floor. The warriors were no longer the center of attention, but people subconsciously left the middle empty, where Kyle and Kanna were.
Soon, the song ended.
Then came the second song, which had a much faster tempo than the previous one.
"It's 'Magic Stuff,'" Kyle said. "It's their most popular song. They got it on the Chocolate Frog card."
As he spoke, Kyle let go of Kanna and switched to another cheerful dance.
……
They danced three times in total before finally leaving the dance floor.
It wasn't because he was tired, it was because Kyle had only learned these three songs, and if he didn't go on, he would just be dancing randomly.
He looked at Kanna, who was red-faced and panting, and asked, "Would you like something to drink? How about pumpkin soda?"
Kanna nodded.
Kyle walked towards the round table with drinks and desserts, and saw Ron and Harry eating pudding.
"You guys...you won't be eating dessert here all the time, will you?"
"Yeah." Harry swallowed a mouthful of pudding and said as a matter of course, "We don't have to dance anyway, do we?"
"Fortunately, I'm not a warrior, otherwise I would be responsible for the opening dance, otherwise..." He couldn't help shuddering, as if he had thought of something terrible, and quickly changed the subject: "Try this, jelly jam pudding. Ron and I agree that it is the best of all desserts."
Kyle raised his eyebrows. Wow, this is really a buffet.
However, he accepted Harry's suggestion and took an extra portion of pudding in addition to the pumpkin soda.
After all, Harry had been here for three songs, so the things he recommended should be good.

Chapter 526 Stirring up the situation
When Kyle came back with pudding and pumpkin soda, he saw a boy from Durmstrang standing in front of Connor, and seemed to want to invite her to dance.
But Connor refused, and the boy did not insist. He turned and walked towards another Gryffindor girl not far away. Kyle remembered that her name seemed to be Parvati or something, anyway, she was in the same grade as Harry.
"Have some soda." Kyle walked over and handed over the food in his hand. "Someone recommended that this pudding tastes good."
Kangna took the pudding and took a bite. She had just danced three times in a row, and her cheeks were slightly red.
"Hogwarts has never been so lively before, has it?" she said. "Everyone looks so happy. It's simply the best Christmas ever."
“Yeah,” Kyle said.
Of course, it would be better if someone would stop staring at him.
Kyle was referring to none other than Professor Snape...
When he was dancing just now, his eyes disappeared briefly for a while, but when he went to get a drink just now, the feeling like a light on his back appeared again.
Kyle turned his head and saw Snape staring at him without blinking from the table he was standing at not far away.
Karkaroff was standing next to Snape. He looked a little anxious and kept pointing outside the door, as if he wanted to discuss something important with Snape.
Kyle turned his head curiously, trying to listen to what they were saying, but because of the distance and the noise around him, he could only vaguely hear some intermittent sounds.
"You know... Severus... this is important..."
"We've already talked about this... Igor, you're making a fuss out of nothing..."
"Hello." Just as Kyle was listening intently, a girl from Beauxbatons suddenly stopped in front of him and asked, "Can we dance together?"
"Sorry, I might need some energy." Kyle raised the pumpkin soda next to him and took a sip.
The girl looked a little disappointed.
"But I can recommend someone else to you." Kyle continued, pointing to the man who was showing off his butter beer at the table with desserts, "Harry Potter, have you heard of him? I noticed that no one has invited him yet."
"The famous savior?" The girl from Beauxbatons was curious at first, but then after seeing Harry's appearance, she became confused. "He looks different from the legend."
"Maybe he's hungry, or maybe because no one invited him, he can only use this method to cover up the embarrassment."
"Really?" The girl walked over doubtfully.
When Kyle turned around, he saw Kanna looking at him with a very strange look.
"It's rare for Hogwarts to hold a ball..." Kyle shrugged and explained, "It's a shame to have a buffet here all night."
"That's not what I meant."
Somehow, Connor's face turned even redder. She looked at the cup in Kyle's hand and said in a very low voice, "I've already drunk the drink you're holding."
"Sorry, but I'll give this cup to you." Kyle said with a smile, "Dancing is such a physical activity, I really don't want to make another trip."
"But...okay..." Kanna said in a voice so soft that it was almost inaudible.
"Thank you."
"Hey, it seems that our Mr. Warrior really likes drinking pumpkin soda." A cold voice came from behind.
Snape came behind Kyle at some point, snatched the cup from Kyle's hand without saying a word, and roughly stuffed another cup of pumpkin soda into his hand.
Because he used too much force, a lot of soda splashed out of the cup and onto Kyle's dress robe.
"It's okay if you don't want to move. I can get it for you." Snape said with cold eyes, "You're welcome. Drink it quickly."
"Um... Professor." Kyle laughed dryly, "I just drank... um... I don't need it for now."
Are you kidding? Even if he had ten times the courage, he wouldn't dare to drink what Snape brought him.
"Is that so..." Snape drawled.
He seemed to want to say something else, but at this moment, a quarrel suddenly broke out not far away and caught his attention.
Snape looked in the direction of the voice and discovered that the two people arguing were Hermione and Ron, then he looked away again... It was obvious that he was not prepared to deal with this conflict.
"Whenever you want to drink pumpkin soda, just come to me. I promise to give you enough." Snape said sinisterly, and returned to his previous position, looking like an owl on guard.
He did not choose to take Connor away from the ball... probably because there was almost no one else in the Hufflepuff common room at that time.
At least here he can watch and stop any situation in time.
Then Kyle was targeted. Now he couldn't go anywhere, couldn't dance, and couldn't leave the hall. He had no choice but to be forced to join Harry's buffet line.
However, Harry and Ron's situation did not seem to be good. Hermione had disappeared, and Ron was complaining about something, and then he left the hall with Harry.
Kyle and Connor came to the other side of the table, sitting farthest from the dance floor. They ate pudding and pancakes and chatted about everything from the Triwizard Tournament to the second task, to Cedric's dancing moves... whatever they thought of.
But looking at Kanna's expression, she seemed quite satisfied with the current situation.
During this period, someone occasionally invited them to dance, but both of them found reasons to refuse.
An hour later, the dance became the home of Fred and George. The two abandoned their respective partners and danced a very cheerful tap dance as if no one was around.
The Weird Sisters were also attracted, and the originally soothing music instantly turned into cheerful drum beats.
After noticing this, the people around started to join in... This time, even Kyle and Connor couldn't sit there anymore. They were dragged to the middle of the dance floor by Cedric and Qiu and joined the carnival.
The atmosphere of the dance party reached its climax at this moment.
……
This continued until midnight, when the Weird Sisters stopped playing.
Everyone gave them another round of applause and started walking towards the foyer.
“That’s great…”
"I love the Weird Sisters so much. I didn't expect the school would invite them..."
