Chapter 76 Maggie's Thoughts
Finally, they went to find Percy after lunch. Della stared at him for a long time before she found the right opportunity to pull Percy aside.
"What's the matter?" Although Della had lived in his house before, the two of them didn't communicate much, so Percy spoke a little coldly.
"..." Looking at Percy's serious face under his fiery red hair, Della swallowed the words she wanted to explain directly and asked first, "What would you do if your brothers and sisters were bullied?"
"Bullyed? Bullied by whom?!" Percy immediately responded to Della's words.
This response without asking for the reason already showed Percy's attitude.
It seems that he is also a Weasley-style Gryffindor, but he just doesn't show it very obviously.
"When I came out of the principal's office yesterday, I ran into Ginny..." Della spoke about what happened last night as calmly as possible. She didn't want to provoke Weasley's impulse at this time. At the end, she added, "Ginny doesn't seem to want others to know, but Fred and the others might be a little obvious."
"Is this school bullying? Really..." Percy's seriousness was washed away, and a hint of irritability climbed up his frowning brows. He looked at Della seriously, "I know, thank you, I will pay attention."
"I'll be more careful too." Della didn't exchange any pleasantries with Percy. They exchanged a few more words on the way to the library and only parted ways when they reached the door.
Perhaps it was the oppressive feeling of the pile of books that made Della finish most of her homework before lunch, so after she sat down, she opened a leisure book for the first time in a long time to kill time.
"Sh ...
Della looked up at the sound. She didn't say anything, but watched Maggie, with most of her body hanging in the air, pick up the blank parchment and quill pen at hand.
Maggie understood, and he landed lightly, slid to Della's side and watched her write line by line.
'Digest some books and sort out the teachings I received today.'
"Shh-(Teach)?"
"It's Senior Ailian..." Della began by greeting Ailian and reconstructed her experience this morning step by step. However, in the process of writing, she simplified Ailian's words. In this second-hand description, her own thoughts were actually included.
"Hai-hiss- (Smart girl, good enlightenment, I like her a little bit)."
"You're starting to like her now? Senior Alian is the person who has been with you the longest in school."
Maggie didn't continue to follow Della's words. He raised his snake body and looked at Della, "Hai-Xi-Ya (What about you? What do you think)?"
"I was unexpectedly relieved. The mixture of interests in the emotional connection gave me a good excuse for hypocrisy." Della paused with her quill and continued writing, "But that's just an excuse. If I indulge in this statement too much, I will become more arrogant."
"Hi-Sahaihi—(pointing out without completely revealing it, this is the smartest part of Aryan)."
"I noticed that it was a bold and meticulous approach to start from sincerity, in the name of teaching, to maintain the relationship with benefits, and finally to return to concern. I was indeed still too young."
Aryan initiated this conversation, perhaps because he didn't want to take advantage of Della who knew nothing in the future, or perhaps because he wanted to deepen the relationship between the two of them sooner.
There is no definitive answer to this matter, and perhaps even Aryan doesn't have a definite answer in his heart.
Many things are chaotic and complicated. Della understood this very early on, so she didn't care too much about Aryan's thoughts.
"It's just that I don't know how to handle interpersonal relationships all of a sudden. I also unconsciously put on a tinted glasses to look at other people's relationships." Della continued to move the feather pen in her hand, and the tip of the pen fell on the parchment, making a rustling sound.
"Hai-Hasa-yi-xi (This is a normal transition. If you are really troubled, you might as well think about your senior sister)."
Senior Ellian...is a very respected prefect. Although she made it clear to me the importance of relationships, there has never been any rumor that she is biased. Is it because it's not obvious?
Della thought of the atrocity that happened in her first year. How did the senior sister deal with it? She and senior Gino let the Parkinson trio's incident spread, but neither of them had a conversation with Draco, even though most people could associate him with it.
She drew justice from Parkinson and the others, and subtly did Malfoy a small favor.
"Ya-Hai (I think you've figured it out)." Staring at Della's pupils that drooped and then rose, Maggie spoke, "Hissa-Saya (Interpersonal relationships are the lubricant, and the qualities that are deliberately displayed are the key to gaining respect)."
"......." Della chewed over Maggie's words carefully. She lowered her eyes again, and the quill in her hand hesitated. In the end, she only wrote a single word on the paper in a flamboyant style, "Slytherin."
Della looked at Maggie, and Maggie looked at Della. They stared at each other, and in the end it was Della who smiled first and looked away. She closed the half-read Dark Creatures Study, picked up the homework beside her and began to finish the work.
......
Until now, I can no longer guess what girls are thinking.
Maggie's yellow snake eyes swept across Della who was bending over the table doing homework, and her gaze finally fixed on the word 'Slytherin' on the parchment.
Is this word a nod to her Slytherin ways, or is it meant to capture Slytherin arrogance?
Maggie prefers the latter.
Everyone has his or her own path, but this path is subject to the constraints of the outside world and oneself.
Aryan has been influenced by her parents since she was a child, and she has always stayed in Slytherin, which has contributed to her arrogance; Percy is dissatisfied with the status quo, but his core is an idealist like his father, so he is determined to only take the road of diligence; even Leah, she seems to be careless and impulsive, but she is also patient and accumulates strength for her future...
Maggie was confident in Della's talent, which went beyond intelligence in terms of potential, so he never considered Della's future.
To be honest, Maggie was a little dissatisfied at first, he felt that his girl was tainted with other colors, but he soon discovered that those colors made the girl more perfect in his heart. It should be said that she had already reached perfection.
This is the beginning of a topic, and although it is still limited to interpersonal relationships, it is also the beginning of thinking about the future, the beginning of Della's future that Maggie has never imagined.
So he stared at Della, feeling anxious and proud at the same time.
Fortunately, the girl still depends on him.
